Waiting for them to deliver mine... Still two to three weeks but, On sale at $1,574 plus free shipping to my garage from Home Depot saved almost $200 if I bought at Grizzly. That money can go towards a mobil base or some other items. Thanks for the video. Wish I was in Texas instead of this crazy Oregon on the left coast.

Yours came in a lot nicer than mine. My box was all beat up and the table top was damaged. Plus the flanged section of the base that attaches to the top bas bent. The TS blade and throat plate was also bent. This might not be Grizzly's fault as it appeared to be a shipping issue but you could say that a $1300 TS should be packed in more than just a cardboard box. I've had decent luck with it but I'm getting some fence deflection on the back when running material through. Not a lot but it's there. I just don't know if that's the nature of table saw fences or unique to this fence design.
The dust collection on mine isn't great. Even when using a dust collector I still have a pile of dust under the machine after each use like your saw has. Again not sure if this is a table saw thing or a unique design issue to this brand/model.
The motor is good though and I've had no issues with blade burn or bog down on hard woods.

I enjoy your content you have. I'm subscribed but it won't let me get notifications for your channel because it says your channel is set up as "Made For Kids" in the settings. I'm not sure if that is how you wanted it but if you change it I'm sure you'll get more views since everyone can receive all notifications. Keep up the great work, awesome craftsmanship.

Great video, thanks for taking the time. I just ordered one of these, really looking forward to getting away from a job site saw. Are you by chance selling the zero clearance inserts? I would definitely be interested. Thanks again for the video, very informative!

Thanks for watching, I can make you a insert but you might want to just get the grizzly zero clearance insert, they sell them for this model on the site.

Nice. I'm trying to decide between this and the Powermatic 64B (~$2,300). This looks like pretty solid machine and is 2 HP versus the 1.75 HP for the Powermatic and costs less. How has this been holding up for you?

In some of the forms I’ve been reading there’s been complaints that the fence is not accurate because the backside moves, have you had any issues with this?

    • @woodscheidcreations8188
      @woodscheidcreations8188  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

No issues with the back side moving, I tried to push the back of the fence over it only moved about 1/16” of an inch with way more force then you would ever apply when ripping a board. This model does have all steel fence construction.

Thank you for this awesome in depth review on this saw , it helped with my decision to purchase it, but I wanted to ask does it say anywhere where it’s manufactured? China? Or Taiwan? The manual to both this saw and the G0771z says that they’re both manufactured in Taiwan ? However I did see on the G0771z it’s made in china ? So I didn’t know if it was mislabeled or is this model actually manufactured in Taiwan? Thank you in advance. -Travis

Do you have the cnc file for the insert you designed?

Insert was done by hand, but I did just make another one, I will try and share the file next weekend.

I just got the equivalent Shop Fox (model W-1888). I don't know why in the world they make a saw where you can't easily fabricate a zero clearance throat plate out of 1/2" material. The pad that the throat plate rests on are only 3/16" of an inch below the table top! So making a zero clearance throat plate is going to be quite a challenge.
This thin throat plate thing seems to be a trend with a lot of new saws. Manufacturers - stop doing this! You are supposed to be concerned with safety yet a safer than stock DIY throat plate is going be resting on edges that are only 3/16" thick? Instead of worrying about blade stopping technology, dust collection (also a safety thing in my estimation), why not go back to making saws with a 1/2" thick throat plate? Or, at least provide us with a zero clearance throat plate when we purchase the saw?
Another thing I find very odd is the miter gauge. Although heavy and quite nice, it does not have any provision to screw on a piece of wood to extend the face/working length.
I personally do not like the magnifier on the indicator for the tape measure. While a good idea in theory it's hard to see the lines. I'm making a pointer which will replace it
Other than that, I find this saw to be good. Powerful and smooth with a nice, solid fence.

Yup, its been great and no issues so far. Like how heavy it is. No issues pushing material through it, doesn’t move at all.
