So, what can I say about today's episode in relation to the novel? 2:17 Yep! Liu Bei and his sworn brothers became famous for their achievements against the Yellow Scarves. They were also part of the abortive campaign against Dong Zhuo, and managed to distinguish themselves better than some of the other generals, insofar as they were remembered for actually fighting Dong Zhuo's generals instead of their own side. 3:19 That's correct! (I say, as the guy HCBailly heard it from.) Yuans Shu and Shao were indeed half-brothers. 3:55 Yuan Shao considers Yan Liang to be his best general. He's first featured during the campaign against Dong Zhuo. There's an event upcoming in the game which adapts events in the book, so I'll talk about those later. Suffice to say he's a powerful warrior who effortlessly cuts down several of Cao Cao's generals around this time. (Also I don't think he has any spoken lines. He's just a guy who kills whoever Yuan Shao tells him to kill.) That said, things likely would have played out a lot differently if Liu Bei actually had been accompanying him, instead of staying behind with Yuan Shao and fretting over not having any news of his brothers.
@@antilopezmexicanos Okay, it seems TH-cam's anti-spam measures may have anticipated my attempts to describe the URLs. Lemme try again: there are translations available at websites whose addresses are 26reads and threekingdoms.
Hey HCBailly, got so distracted that you didn't mention that you went to somewhere else on the ship. Where are you now? Also can you show the new guy's stats screen?
Here's a fun fact. The ships that go through China's rivers are called Junks. I'm serious. That's how they sailed around China, in a Junk. They're not made for the ocean, they're for crossing rivers.
4:06 Hey HCBailly, since generals can only wield specific weapon types, what happens when a general joins your party with the equipment of a general who left that doesn't have the same weapon type as the new general? Does the new general just have the equipped weapon type that they have and the other weapon from the previous general becomes unequipped and added to the new general's inventory?
I've played this a few times myself. Basically the new general will have the invalid weapon 'equipped,' but since it's not a weapon type he can use it doesn't get factored into his attack power.
Yeah, what xenu said. For the most part, when generals are automatically removed from and added to the party, they will have the same weapon types, to avoid problems. However, there is one instance when it can really get screwed up, which I will mention way later in the game.

Maybe I should hold onto the Map, just for reference. I'll try to remember to show new party member stats in the future, too.

Yeah, these rivers are pretty huge, especially for an NES game.
We need take Assylum in Jizhou Castle after escape from Cao Cao Army.
