Destiny of an Emperor was Capcom’s first RPG, released in 1989-90, and is based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
The battling style of this game can be described like Final Fantasy ( tasvideos.org/... ) meets Pokémon ( tasvideos.org/... ); your team of warriors versus the opposing team of warriors, and any opponents freed from their posts can be later picked up in the wilds and converted to your side!
Acmlm ( tasvideos.org/... ) bests his previous movie ( tasvideos.org/... ) by 05:07.11 minutes thanks to new tricks and better luck manipulation.

This is the most Sega Master System sounding NES music I have ever heard, especially in battles.
Then there's the town incidental music that sounds like it's from Bomberman.

The game that introduced me to the world of RPG's. I first played it when I was like 5 naturally amazed by the adventure and sound.🤩😌

Loved this game as a kid. Collecting the generals and it was a challenge to beat at first. Also got stuck trying to wake up Zhu Ge Liang because you have to push no buttons after the dialog opens and wait. Eventually figured it out, remember my reaction to this day. You are stuck in the game if you can’t get him to wake up.
I found this game about 7 years ago while trawling through the GameFAQs archives. There aren't too many RPGs for the NES, so I've tried to play as many as I can. I seem to come back to this one every couple of years. Really unique for the time, and I would have loved it as a kid.
You don't have to have Zhu Ge Liang, but you'd better find someone else with Ce Mian!

Wow what an interesting run of this game. I need to understand how TAS runs are created, I'd love to create one of my own someday. Did you recruit some characters at the end that you normally cannot recruit? For some weird reason I thought Tai Si Ci was unrecruitable?
I remember finding this game extremely challenging by the end...either with the one hit kills (An Sha) or by the bosses consistently healing themselves. But I loved the fact you could recruit random bosses you had fought previously. I just wish those recruits would level up with you too.
Anyway, great game, great run. It was fun to watch.

I'm amazed at all the entering and exiting all-out mode. Would like to hear the explanation. Also amazed at how much An Sha was used here. During regular play, it doesn't work often enough to justify it over Ji Mian or Ce Mian.
I assumed it was to raise the chances for crits and misses by the enemy. If you listen to the attacks, more crits occur after a break and back into an all-out.
And yeah An Sha had a low success rate but this is a TAS after all. It demonstrates what can be done.

Forgets to mention that the menu system, maps & tilesets heavily resemble Dragon Quest.

Destiny of an Emperor tem alguns bugs que mata generais no jogo, só que eu não sabia que tinha como matar os irmãos Zhang antes de lutar contra eles kkk, e a pessoa que fez o video usou uma ferramente chamada TAS que deixa o jogo rodando frame a frame aí da pra manipular varias coisas que dependem de sorte
