After mowing the yard several times, I would give this mulching kit a 5 out of 10 for its performance. Although the mulching blades could be more aggressive, the limitations are primarily due to the mower itself. Upon reviewing other people's feedback and professional lawn sites, it appears that many individuals are dissatisfied with the way these mowers cut. However, in my opinion, this mulching kit could be useful if you mow your lawn at a higher setting, mow frequently or have a thin lawn. On the other hand, if you mow your lawn short, or infrequently or have an exceptionally thick lawn, this kit is not suitable for your needs. Additionally, I have a fabricated deck, and therefore, the stamp steel deck may yield different outcomes. Nonetheless, I anticipate using this kit for approximately 50% of my lawn mowing needs.

@@taproom113 It is nice and I get many compliments on in. I just plug, overseed, fertilizer 2 to 3 times a year and add lime to adjust soil pH levels. It is a pain to mow big time especially in spring and fall.
Probably not the results would be dramatically different based on grass length, moisture content and the type of grass. I could easily make it look good, or bad.
Very well done video. I've got a cub cadet lawn tractor and mow a few lawns as a side hustle. I wasnt satisfied with the oem multi purpose blades it came with so I experimented some. I dont have the mulch plug,but g5 gatorblades gave me excellent results even in grass that's a little high. I've got a couple customers that only want mowed every 2 weeks and depending on the weather it can get pretty high. Even without a mulch plug it doesn't throw out alot of grass like the stock blades. It does still throw some out,but it's not leaving wind rows. Overall I'm enjoying it and its leaving a great cut.
@@autohelix it's an older one,ltx1040. It's a stamped deck with a 42" cut. It's been a good mower,but its age is beginning to show. I'm hoping to replace it before it starts giving me reliability problems.

You definitely need the mulching blades to make it a fair evaluation. My ZT1 does great with the mulching kit properly configured. ^v^
@@taproom113 I do have mulching blades. My lawn is very very thick. Probably 3 times the density of any of my neighbors lawns very thick.

I would like to put the G5 blade on this mower, but they don't make a direct replacement for this mower.
@@autohelix I've heard others say that too,about different sized mowers. Idk why they dont have a wider selection for fitment.
