      A lot of youtubers focus on improving individual things such as playing corners and resource management, but they never explain it well enough for us to implement it in games!

      @@notsaying the way he explains space is different. Like how he explained why zarya would want to bait someone like sigma in but not rein. Also the L thing with cover. A lot of channels make sense but the way a10 explains it makes it feel like I can apply the thought process in my own game

    definitely keep making these. im a gm player and know these concepts to a degree. but how you break them down and explain them is great. i never have really looked at overwatch this way. you have given me a new perspective. i do hope you make future videos going more in depth how each character can take and use space

Unless youre the #1 OWL player, there are still drastic leagues between someone who reaches GM consistently and being the best. Being able to take your game to the next level is the difference between doing okay at your ELO, and smurfing your own peak

    at first i was like "another the "best" guide i need" but it actually did explain pretty well the usage of cover as well as expanded my view on what making space actually means and the role of the tank in it. If you take vods i can send one for u to analyse

    The more I watch this video the more I realized...I'm just not about that ranked life. I've been bronze since ow1 launch and I only played for an hour at the longest . I then play quick play for hours . It helped me realized this and I'm thankful for it . Mannnn though the lesson on map control for open and close spaces helped me so much in less deaths . Hell I did better in FFA and quickplay. Thank you for the lesson.

    What I wanna add is, as you said everything is a resource! Ammo, HP, abilities but also things like focus and attention. You can even think of your emotional state like a resource. Some people try to tilt the enemy on purpose to gain an advantage.
    Best part for me personally of the video was the corner flip! I didn't know there was a name for it, and it answered a few questions I had about the L-corner concept.

    I knew some of what was explained in this video before, but a detailed description and explanation really helps. Wish my teachers in my school would teach me the way you just taught me to hold corners as a tank, get better positioning and how to take advantage of open space and corners bro.     This is awesome! You could talk about each hero with respect to these and even hero combinations like layering on this foundation. And when updates go through, talk about shifts in it. It's a whole new way to understand the game that isn't dmg/cd- up/down and buff/nerf.

    Love these videos! Maybe even do guides for each map, I know it’s hard with ow because it’s a very situational game. But maybe you can show the corners and some how to reach certain points etc

    Great video. Would be great to watch a game/coach review where you work with a player to analyse thier progression through a game from the third person view - with commentry challenging thier choices, game sense, possitioning etc. as filtered through this paradigm. Thanks for the content.

    Map awareness in any game is important. I remember watching the halo 5 championship a few years ago and was blown away by how players were navigating backwards effortlessly in fire fights.

    the Genji vs bastion example made me realize my mistake in overwatch
    I'm many times getting good picks and openings as Genji and then I immediately push in not realizing my team might not be ready for this and then everything crumbles
    it's like an adrenaline rush sometimes after a few picks
    from now on I will double-check and let them know before I continue to play aggressively and push the objective
    and in general, great video
    great explanation with examples and how to handle some situations
    i will send this to my friends and hope they watch it, because they wouldn't listen to me anyways when I try to explain something like this

      The idea of space utilization and space flipping is eerily close to the brilliant game of Go, btw. That game gets complicated in some different ways, but I think it can still be analyzed in some very-similar ways.

    I already do the suggestions in this video but I know a lot of new players who don't and a lot of players who struggle with this. I generally haven't been able to help them because I wasn't able to explain what I am exactly doing as I choose where to be as mercy or any other character I play.
