Floorplan at 0:45. The jog in the living room wall would have to come out. You couldn't center a tv or fireplace as it is. Think I'd borrow space from the garage and make a 'locker' area. I'd borrow more space for the laundry. I'd put a door from the master closet into the laundry...
I toured this home and the coastal version before abd I must say, this layout is one of the best I've seen. The breakfast room really adds that extra punch.
I love Farmhouses! This is a party home. I'm not a big fan of the modern, but I can handle a little modern touches here and there. We can't decide on whether our forever home will be farmhouse or a log cabin/house.

that back porch is perfect if it's facing the sea or lake or forest or anything with a gorgeous view! I'm from the Philippines and our property is near the sea (San Felipe Zambales beach/west Philippine sea). I should start saving now and build something like this in the future 😉

This is a wonderful floor plan. Those hardwood floors are gorgeous. This home has so much to offer. My preference is the coastal version, but luckily you can make it anything you want. I think I figured out my issue with yesterday's video. You have completely spoiled us on these gorgeous model homes, to where it makes it challenging to be objective any more. I do enjoy your tours though. Good job.

But I enjoy your thoughts on each and every one good or bad! And I agree the coastal is my favorite too of the two.
It looks great, BUT... First by the Foyer I'd have the basement stairs like in the plans. I'd lose the flex room. Move the wall over a bit making a larger Foyer, put in a large Coat Closet and then a Half Bath accessable from the hallway...there may be room for a storage closet also accessable from the hallway. That shared Bathroom is tight. I have one similar and believe me it is tight. Sorry, but Id opt to not make the Pantry deep and take that space for the Bathroom to spread things apart a bit. I'd have to have that common Living Room wall with the Master sound proofed. A TV on that wall would sound like it is in the Master...especially with today's sound bar systems. The Master Bath and Closets are all wrong for me. I know I've sad in other comments I don't like to have to go through the bathroom to the closet. As toured this one has two closets, you'd have to hike to the second closet. Actually... That whole side needs to be larger. The garage is only 20' x 20'. For a new high cost house that is poor design. I have one vehicle you could barely walk past the front or back in that garage. Mine is 24' deep and I pull the front bumper to the wall and there is just 3' behind the car...so it takes up 21'. When building new I'd want minimum 24' x 24', preferably even deeper. I guess I'm saying without that side of the house fixed, besides made larger in the garage area, to fit my needs it would be a no go. To bad, the rest is very nice. All bedrooms should be away from the living areas like the two smaller bedrooms are.
An awful lot of what you are excited about is cosmetic design choices that cost more. It's a decent plan but not perfect. However, the office needs walls and a door to make it a work-from-home spot - or even a computer room. Laundry room needs cabinets - not just a cheap table. Also, I'm not seeing a microwave in the kitchen.
Accent wall is very interesting when you first walk in. That is a very bizarre office space. I meant to open areas but that’s too open for a business area. I really like the brick wall and the main dining room area and the big glass windows. I agree a fireplace would be nice in the living room area. I don’t think the cabinets or the backsplash depict a farmhouse luck.Just curious why do they put doors from the master bedroom to the porch I never understand that?
What a simply stunning home and great tour. Don’t get why there’s no doors on the bedrooms and some of the bathrooms? Is it just not finished yet? Love the floors. Pretty curtains but they don’t close?
My dream home would have kitchen cabinets that are only 5ft high! I can barely reach the 2nd shelf of the standard cabinet and some of these homes are 8ft tall!
My daughter 4'11" - tiny like her grandma ❤ I have saved some BEAUTIFUL kitchens with no upper cabinets. Several have kitchen with a wall of windows. Oh my ... they are breath taking. Of course I love the outdoors and the flow of light coming into a home, so far me it us a wonderful way to spend hours in your kitchen!
WARNING: Do not attempt to use this shower if you have had more than three glasses of wine. LOL Get rid of the flex room. What would you use it for? An office with the living room next to it? No privacy, would have to have a wall. And who wants to clean all those mirrors. Master bedroom and bathroom is wonderful ( change tile ). The washer/ dryer is in a great place. I wouldn't use that part for a office, cause that's coming into the front door of the house, where that big open i will have that part walled, and leave the end of it open to that other part for a den, and put a fireplace where the brick part is, then i will divide between it with a half wall between the kitchen
They installed the shower for the first bathroom on the wrong side. It should be on the left. Also the tub in the master bath has the tub filler on the wrong side too.
I enjoyed the tour - a few design flaws I saw were: no fireplace (agreed with you there); would have preferred in-wall oven instead of pantry; bedrooms on the smaller side, master closet too small, master bath toilet area had no door (yuck), and instead of wire shelving, it would be nice to see a home with wood shelving or something more sturdy but overall nice house.
The floorplan shows a stairwell. The home tour didn't show it. Are the mechanicals in the area where the stairwell is supposed to be? I didn't see any way to access them.

Every house needs a fireplace, in my opinion. We have lost power in the winter three times and it is cold!

Even furniture is modern design
They need to do a complete redo of the lighting and furniture style to evoke Farm house. Fail on not having the fireplace.
I Like A Fire Place also in A Farmhouse don't like tray ceilings I Prefer BEAMS
Surprise no fireplace, farmhouse usually have rustic look for floors and kitchen cabinets.
If it doesn't have a fireplace or a farmhouse sink or a decent size back yard or the open kitchen shelvings, it's not a farmhouse.
Your opinion
