As a cabin crew member, it is not required to point out the emergency exits unless the video presentation doesn’t do it. If it does then it is up to the airline to mandate that cabin crew point out where the exits are located. It is airline specific. I love watching your videos and love how honest you are about your reviews. It’s refreshing. Keep up the good work Josh. You keep making videos and I’ll keep watching them. @@barsonald9539 El Al is maybe a bit off in the service area, where as an El Al flyer I can tell they improved a lot. For example my flights with them in July on board the 737-800 which I have flown a lot, had more than fine leg room, and i've flown Economy Lite. In the safety area, they are very very safe, if you looked at their history, in the 90's when flights were hijacked frequently, no El Al flight was hijacked successfully although it is a big target. Also, my experience was always the best CRM (Crew Resource Management) in the Industry.
Hi Josh , love your airline vlogs ,,,,on the topic of crew pointing the emergency exit , as an airline crew my self it’s not a requirement as long as a safety video is available and a safety card which also highlights the emergency exits , in the event of safety video failure a manual demonstration will take place where the crew point out the emergency exit . While the safety video is being played the crew are requested to be out of view to allow PAX to focus on the safety video content until its time to secure the cabin an ensure passenger compliance . Different airlines follow their local aviation regulator
Josh, I like that you are honest in your videos. I think you are entitled to call the crew lazy if this is how you feel independently of their oirigin. However, I think you should not comment on race.

RwandAir is good but you need to improve on Food. Not everyone likes Sandwiches. And sometimes runs out of the same sandwiches, on return flights between Jhb and Lusaka, and have to pick food in Lusaka. That dents a good Airline like RwandAir. Otherwise, it's good.
I just flew Rwandair from Brussels to Kinshasa via Kigali. Your review is on point! The plane A330 was perfectly appointed, great pilot skills one of the smoothest landings ever in my life!!!!!!! Crew was uninterested, forgetful and almost passive!!!! Food was a disappointment overall. These are pointers so they can improve but I will give them a chance again since it is a good value!!!
Try air canada. U have never eaten bad food on a flight just yet. In addition, you will have to pay extra with your credit card or go hungry all the way especially those 3 4 5 hours flights oh my I kid you not
They have improved a lot, I noticed that the cabin was very responsive while I asked them what I wanted. They immediately gave me water before the flight even started. They gave me it because I asked for it.

Being originally African myself, I love the fact that African airlines are thriving again! This shows how much hard work we Africans put into the aviation market! Sadly, the African airlines just don’t seem to have much potential in the North American market (e.g. NYC, IAD, ORD, YYZ), as proven by KQ and ET.☹️ Thanks for the trip report, Josh Cahill! Given the traffic volume, Rwandair should assign one of its Bombardier Q-400 Next Gen to this route. Or at most one of its CRJ-900 Next Gen, which cruises between Mach 0.78 and 0.83.
Safety is number one on an aircraft. I can't believe they couldn't be bothered. Taking care of the guest first is their job. Remember no guest no pay cheques lol
The fact you risk and take these flights to let others know of the safety issues, as well as the pros and cons onboard, is a testament to being a true reviewer. Anyone can travel on Emirates, Cathay, SIngapore Airlines, and rave on about their great business and first class... but none are doing the smaller and lesser known carriers.

I have a feeling Belgium was one of the countries which colonised Rwanda and there was some German influence as well....hence the flights to Brussels ! Probably only loaded enough food for 14 passengers !! I do like to see reviews of some airlines we don't know much about...like Rwanda etc...great idea ! I think most North American Airlines do same with the safety demonstration, by the way you should definitely fly on those few Canadian or those African Airlines who still operate the Boeing 737 Classic's
Some Airlines do not point out the emergency exits during the safety video.The caterers may cater more beef than Chicken.The Crew has no control over catering.Food is not served in the USA unless you’re in First Class,even on a 6 hour Flight. You were not fair to the Crew.Lazy really????
Have you done Air Peace yet? On the negligent crew, can I say as a UK born Nigerian currently living in Nigeria, we do struggle with quality customer service. It doesn't come as natural as it does in Europe and North America. I suspect its much the same across much of Africa. Although Ethiopian Airlines have been good when I've traveled with them. I could be wrong but that's the impression I get. I even had to train my staff on its importance
Wait, I don't get the difference, some airlines also show their safety procedures on screen like Singapore Airlines. But what makes Rwandair safety video different from Singapore airlines' one? Does it lack key safety procedures?

I'd recommend trying out a Russian domestic Yak40/42 flight, as well as some of our Antonov Props. I would love you to compare the propeller flights to those for example undertaken by SAS on their Dash 8's.
Uh am traveling to rawanda this summer, I am flying the KLM A330 service KGL-AMS via Entebbe Uganda. I may either fly in from nirobi on Kenya airways E190 or Rawandair on there CRJ aircraft this is my second time to Africa :D

It’s not he missed a point, if the cabin is does not show it physically then it has to be in the entertainment system. I recently was on tha exact plane and there was not safety issues. Not to mention I was flying economy. Rwandair is also very good with its safety.

Rwandair for me is always nice. I have flown on this A330 from lagos to kigali and then to johannesburg. I don't know about this particular crew but the crews on my flights have always done the demonstration during the safety videos showing.
U should try air Niugini. Right now they have a fleet of fokkers, 737s, and 767 with 737max and 787 on order Another options is surinam airways on the A340-300
Review Nepal airlines! Remember flying them in the 70s on their 727 from Katmandu to Bangkok or India (Bombay I think). The smells on board were truly exotic! Probably a bit more refined these days!

Please try air canada economy class. The food in economy class oh my. They normally give no food at all. No pillow for comfort nothing. You have to buy with your credit card if you want to eat anything and the purchase options are very horrible as well. Given the price you pay on these flights and the fact that these airlines have been in the business for many years; Rwanda air is not too bad and with same experience in the business they will doing awesome so for rwanda air to even serve something on a two hour flight is really to be appreciated. Last time I purchased food on air canada I threw up and was sick so if I cannot eat before my flight will rather go hungry or fly with another airline when available. Please try it but be ready

Another good review, thank you. Speaking of free charger : the French railway company SNCF has a low cost high-speed train called Ouigo, and they make you pay to be able to use a socket during your journey... (you also pay extra for suitcases, etc.).
I think the reason why Scoot does charge is because it is a low cost carrier but I think you are right too. But scoot is trying to make itself better. Hopefully they will get better

I love the A330, the 2-4-2 layout is the best in Economy. I’d definitely be willing to give Rawandair on their long haul to Belgium.
767 has 2-3-2. Have to work hard to get a middle.
Love your videos but had a different experience food was brilliant and crew were great I went on the A330 300 from Lusaka to Kigali.
Every time I flew with Rwanda Air they broke my suitcase and I had to beg them to replace. Very dissapointed air line is good but staff is a nightmare

Being originally African myself, I love the fact that African airlines are thriving again! This shows how much hard work we Africans put into the aviation market! Sadly, the African airlines just don’t seem to have much potential in the North American market (e.g. NYC, IAD, ORD, YYZ), as proven by KQ and ET.☹️

Given the traffic volume, Rwandair should assign one of its Bombardier Q-400 Next Gen to this route. Or at most one of its CRJ-900 Next Gen, which cruises between Mach 0.78 and 0.83.
Safety is number one on an aircraft. I can't believe they couldn't be bothered. Taking care of the guest first is their job. Remember no guest no pay cheques lol
The fact you risk and take these flights to let others know of the safety issues, as well as the pros and cons onboard, is a testament to being a true reviewer. Anyone can travel on Emirates, Cathay, SIngapore Airlines, and rave on about their great business and first class... but none are doing the smaller and lesser known carriers.
Try druk air or bhutan airline and go to paro for the nerve-wracking landing experience

I have a feeling Belgium was one of the countries which colonised Rwanda and there was some German influence as well....hence the flights to Brussels ! Probably only loaded enough food for 14 passengers !! I do like to see reviews of some airlines we don't know much about...like Rwanda etc...great idea ! I think most North American Airlines do same with the safety demonstration, by the way you should definitely fly on those few Canadian or those African Airlines who still operate the Boeing 737 Classic's

Some Airlines do not point out the emergency exits during the safety video.The caterers may cater more beef than Chicken.The Crew has no control over catering.Food is not served in the USA unless you’re in First Class,even on a 6 hour Flight.

Have you done Air Peace yet? On the negligent crew, can I say as a UK born Nigerian currently living in Nigeria, we do struggle with quality customer service. It doesn't come as natural as it does in Europe and North America. I suspect its much the same across much of Africa. Although Ethiopian Airlines have been good when I've traveled with them. I could be wrong but that's the impression I get. I even had to train my staff on its importance

I'd recommend trying out a Russian domestic Yak40/42 flight, as well as some of our Antonov Props. I would love you to compare the propeller flights to those for example undertaken by SAS on their Dash 8's.

It’s not he missed a point, if the cabin is does not show it physically then it has to be in the entertainment system. I recently was on tha exact plane and there was not safety issues. Not to mention I was flying economy. Rwandair is also very good with its safety.

Rwandair for me is always nice. I have flown on this A330 from lagos to kigali and then to johannesburg. I don't know about this particular crew but the crews on my flights have always done the demonstration during the safety videos showing.
U should try air Niugini. Right now they have a fleet of fokkers, 737s, and 767 with 737max and 787 on order
Another options is surinam airways on the A340-300
Review Nepal airlines! Remember flying them in the 70s on their 727 from Katmandu to Bangkok or India (Bombay I think). The smells on board were truly exotic! Probably a bit more refined these days!

Please try air canada economy class. The food in economy class oh my. They normally give no food at all. No pillow for comfort nothing. You have to buy with your credit card if you want to eat anything and the purchase options are very horrible as well. Given the price you pay on these flights and the fact that these airlines have been in the business for many years; Rwanda air is not too bad and with same experience in the business they will doing awesome so for rwanda air to even serve something on a two hour flight is really to be appreciated. Last time I purchased food on air canada I threw up and was sick so if I cannot eat before my flight will rather go hungry or fly with another airline when available. Please try it but be ready

Another good review, thank you. Speaking of free charger : the French railway company SNCF has a low cost high-speed train called Ouigo, and they make you pay to be able to use a socket during your journey... (you also pay extra for suitcases, etc.).
I think the reason why Scoot does charge is because it is a low cost carrier but I think you are right too. But scoot is trying to make itself better. Hopefully they will get better

Your videos and reviews are always best and yes as per crew and safety concern whatever you have mentioned is true.
