I married a Malaysian girl many years ago and we live in Europe so we fly twice a year to KL, mostly with MAS to avoid any further connection taking longer to get there. A couple of time we flew Singapore Airlines, that I consider the top airlines ever, but it takes one change and longer time. Must say that I have always been treated well, both flying Economy and Business (thanks to the free upgrades earned through the Enrich scheme), so I was surprised when I watched your first video showing the poor experience you had on board.

I am a Malaysian, I tried both economy and business class products. In economy i would say that they has this double standard treatment. This is 10 years back. However, i tried their economy class 3-4 years back and most recently yesterday, they did pretty well. They came to me whenever i press the call button and treat me accordingly. And thanks Josh for bringing this up, at least Malaysia Airlines would improve on their services in all classes including economy class because we paid for the flight and their services. Thanks again Josh, hope you will fly with Malaysia Airlines again.

Kalyan Nakata - I generally agree with your sentiments and it costs nothing to be polite. Where it gets confusing is that every airline will have their own rules and customs ie Arab carriers may not serve alcohol at Ramadan and not every westerner knows when Ramadan is happening, this could cause problems. Generally be nice to people and they should be nice in return and always remember that we don’t know what personal crisis the passengers or crew are going through. If crew members cannot carry on with their jobs because of their problems they should have a day off sick. If passengers have the same issues maybe they should walk. 🙂😊

In reference to your question about Jetstar, Jetstar is an Australian owned budget airline, Owned by QANTAS, it really is what its goal was set out to be, budget, I don't believe there is first class, only business, which is the first x amount of rows before economy, the food is ordinary, at best and the planes are old and sketchy as all hell on a good day. Crew are fantastic though. If you would like to do a video review on them by all means go ahead, but I would personally do my research first and make an educated decision.

Flew with Malaysian airlines in 2016 from Kuala Lumpur to Perth. I am a cabin crew attendant too. I always give something like chocolates flying with other airlines while on holiday but expecting nothing in return. Didn’t even get a thank you. It was one of my worst flights ever. Cold plane, cold food and even worse, cold crew. No interaction at all with passengers except the basic things. Flight safety concerns as well. One crew member falling asleep during landing several times. If I can avoid them in the future , I will.

I refuse to fly Etihad, Malaysian airlines and Sri Lankan airlines as a result of service (or lack of it) I’ve received on those airlines. Then also Malaysian has an interesting safety record you don’t mention but any passenger would be unwise to overlook.

I think on most business class flights, being friendly and warm is the bare minimum, unfortunately I have found most economy flights on MAS to be subpar, unfriendly attendants, unresponsive to calls, my worst experience was when my tv screen broke and after repeated attempts of me asking if anything could be done, the attendant just kept repeating the same answer, dont worry we will get somewhere to fix it soon, well turns out it was a lie 5 hours later my screen was still broke and I had given up hope of anything that could be done about it, the attendant even got a bit upset when I asked her for the 3rd time before giving up

I travelled Malaysian back and forth to Australia Christmas- New Year 2012-2013. It was absolutely horrible. Especially on the long flight between Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur, staff appeared unfriendly and unwilling to help. An elderly lady next to me struggled with making the sceen work. Staff appeared grumpy and unwilling to help her.
Fasten seatbelt sign was on almost during the entire flights. Staff kept being grumpy and unwilling to help. It was awful.

At no extra charge the rebooked me on the next flight out to Malaysia and also the long haul to Amsterdam at no charge
There support and customer service was amazing and they told me that the never leave a passenger stranded and always take care of there customers which I was so happy and thankful 🙏

In 2017, with all those incidents with MA, I decided to avoid them with all costs. But, if ever it comes up to flying with them at a good rate, maybe I would reconsider. One thing is for sure, MA is passionate about their airline, yes, they may have gone too far with the treatment after your negative review, but looks like they did take measures to rectify & learn from that experience. One thing I learned when flying, don't be too hung up on one flight experience with an certain airline cause it might have just been with the crew an off day. Flying can be stressful both for crew or passengers.

    Hi Josh
Great that you gave MH a 2nd chance and I can see that it turned out well.(hats off to u 👍 ) I've travelled with them many times and so with the other airlines and the only flight I had that got me on my nerves a bit was an European airline (not mentioning it here as they too have improved alot since then).😁
So I guess it's just one of those experiences and we cant make a judgment via one incident, it was truly unlucky that it happened but everyone deserves a 2nd chance. Good to see you are so composed and neutral throughout. And good to see that MH has stepped up their service and moved on....so guys can be buddies again 😘
Loved your vlogging and hope to see u doing more of MH flights in the near future. 😎
