This video was extremely informational. Recently I’ve decided I wanted to try to learn how to box. And seeing the differences in these more clearly makes me interested in learning kick boxing too! I’ve found that health is something that keeps coming back in my life and I want to learn how t defend myself while picking up something fun that’s also healthy for me! So thank you for the informational indifferences with these fighting styles. I recently found this channel and I’m excited to learn some small things from this and look more into these fighting styles!
Literally same, considered learning how to box and then found kick boxing. Need a fun way to get in shape and to have the confidence knowing how to defend myself
@@zaki7348You can do what I did and start from boxing then go into kickboxing. Having boxing as a base makes it easier to focus on legs later on. Or you can do what normally sane people would do and go opposite😂 because its less adjustment to go from kb to boxing.
@@billata-awaji9803 ive never met a kickboxer who knows how to ACTUALLY box. Its like MMA too. If you're a jack of all/many trades, youll be a master of none.
@@damienbuerger1671 yea but in all reality it best to learn as much as possible because you can’t box when your back is on the ground. You need to know how to hit the pavement and get back up as quickly as possible especially in today’s society where people love to slam their opponents
Very good video FightCamp! Super informative, but with the levity that these awesome people provide. I had loved seeing the filming of it previously; the camera work is top notch! 🔥
Awesome video! Can’t believe this doesn’t have more views. Was wondering if you agree with the statement I’m about to make because it’s caused a lot of debates. Since kickboxing is an umbrella term defined as any combat sport in which you can punch/kick your opponent, is contested on the feet, and is not submission based; TKD and Karate are forms of kickboxing (semi contact doesn’t change the fact it’s kickboxing)
Yeah, I’m not sure who’s debating this with you, but those are certainly forms of kickboxing. As you said, it’s an umbrella term and generally the martial arts community recognizes it as such.
@@LewisCho thank you! Yes I have gotten from flack from some people who say that traditional striking styles like karate and TKD aren’t forms of kickboxing because kickboxing is a sport and TKD and karate are martial arts but that doesn’t change it in my mind
Just a few years ago, this would've all been gibberish... It was so weird understanding pretty much everything y'all said and did since I've been doing MMA for a couple years
I m confused that what I should choose Kick boxing Or mma? I m 18 year old girl My ultimate goal is self defence, physical stamina, strength, flexibility Pls tell
Honestly anyone which one will do just fine for your goals. I'd say get best of both. Train kickboxing and bjj that way you're good stand up and on the ground. Wish you luck.
mma probably, ground game is still pretty important and its hard to outstrength a male not being sexist or anything but average female is weaker than average male its proven.
I don't know if Kickboxing these days are allowing elbow & knee strikes? But mixing Muay Thai & American Kickboxing would make an kickboxer more efficient! If i would to learn MMA I pick Muay Thai & Kickboxing because adding Kickboxing's fluid/dynamic kick's with Muay Thai would make a striker end the fight with those striking martial arts together. And for ground fighting I say Submission Wrestling would do!
I wanted to know the difference, so I looked it up on TH-cam. I wanna be able to defend myself in a fight and put down the attacker, kick boxing is the one for me.
yall looked like video game characters when yall was explaining the origin of these sports im 5’9 wanna do boxing and wrestling and wanna go pro wat would be the best weight class for a beginner?

Informational/education content needs to be either 30fps and 1/50th shutter speed or 50fps and 1/60th shutter speed in order to have enough smoothness, correct motion blur, and universal anti-flicker properties regardless of what region and what frequency their power lines operate at. Low frame rates like 24fps and 25fps hurt the eyes/brain as you try to process the motion smoothness that's missing and high framerates with default 180-degree rule shutter speeds look strobe-y and unnatural due to the lack of motion blur. Because motion blur is based on time and shutter speeds are a measurement of time, 1/60th for instance, will always look like 1/60th in terms of motion blur whether you record it once (still image), 24 times, 30, 50, or 60 times per second. And before you ask or criticize, yes, I can prove it. And no, I don't care what film school taught you. Never let so-called "education" get in the way of your learning.
what is the point of 10 and 9 score per round if the same thing would happen scoring 1 and 0 or 2 and 1? By the way it is ridiculous that you can barely win 5 rounds while opponent crushes (without knockout) you in other 5 rounds and you both score the same amount of points. There should be a variation, if you dominate a round you should get higher spread vs if you barely win a round.
not really, not sure abt fighting inside a ring, but in a street fight? u cant use gloves and if u try punching the head there are high chances or u breaking ur knuckles and then what, u get bashed up, im not saying boxing does work in fights its just that u cant use those maximum power shots in real fights compared to the punches with gloves, rather u need to control the power of punches, go for vitals and keep on moving and land those boxing bodyshots.
@@valentino-yv4vw oh u will be surprised bro, if u hit the wrong area ur gone, if u punch bare knuckle that is, thats y u use body shots or punch to the jaw or use ur palm to "punch".
@@valentino-yv4vw yeah but try to go for the head region and ur done, and its not safe to hit a full powered punch on the face if people have bad accuracy, u can hit the wrong area of the chin as well, thats y palm strikes are better for bare knuckle situations since u negate the recoil as well as u can grab people if necessary and if u use bare knuckles u have to apply a little less power than u do in boxing or any strike based martial art with gloves on (only the punch doe, not the kicks since legs are way stronger).
