  • Bass fishing can be tough a lot of the time. Even after anglers locate bass, getting them to bite is another matter completely. But it doesn't have to be that hard. Today, we're going to look at a simple method that I use in almost any condition that puts bass in the boat fast! Some times the best way to go bass fishing is to simplify it. #fishing #bassfishing #fishingtips

i’m like you i like a suspending/very slow rising jerk bait i can finesse and power fish with it while also working different parts of the water column
if there’s too many weeds i’ll use a single blade spinner colorado or willow depending on clarity

Just love it when the “area” gives a clue - even if it is a little. And then when you get a few more from that location, especially if it’s a nicer one, it feels so good.

I feel like it really is solving a puzzle. Each little piece adds up. But it's a different puzzle almost every time I go out to the water!

Great content this helps me break it down. I usually start with top water (buzzbait) is my confidence bait, along with a lipless or square bill crankbait. My hangup is water depth I'm a bit old school and just can't pry myself away from the banks and shallows. Pretty sure if I'd open up to deeper water my catch options would increase.

I do love beating the bank, but sometimes it pays to venture out to open water!

A squarebill works great to cover water but I also like a lipless if I'm burning baits and searching for a bite.

Lipless cranks are great search baits!

Today the search bait was a fluke on a dimiki head.

I just fish from my small pier. If the fish aren't there I don't go chasing after them. I still enjoy myself.

I was out yesterday and caught a few bass moving slow with a black culprit worm. So many people at the lake it's getting hard to find a good spot.

I'm seeing goldfish in my local fishing river. Makes me wonder if they're being used for catfish, bass or walleye

It's great that you shared this video. I love it ! I love it because I've been in the process of learning it the natural way myself. I've also widened my arsenal so I can be ready for anything or changes. BTW, Lowbrow, you've convinced me to try the boyhowdy and let me tell ya, and people out there, that bait is fire ! My first time trying it during a small window of time, I had to fish, I caught a hybrid and a spotted bass on it. I love it !

I've been using a jerkbait larely, catching them decent around grass points and flats, but seem to get a lot of followers too. Maybe need to slow it down for those fish when im seeing that.

Slowing down and going with a more subtle presentation can be a great way to get those following bass to commit!

Great thoughts Lowbrow. This will definitely help add some extra fish compared to starting out slow. Also, can you recommend a Lowbrow approved jerk bait for a beginner? Model, size, color? Thank you sir!

    • @LowBrowFishing
      @LowBrowFishing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

The jerkbait really depends on what water you are fishing. If you are fishing really shallow water from the bank without a lot of vegetation or slop, then maybe something like a classic Rebel Minnow in a silver-blue or silver-green color. If you fish a bit deeper, perhaps a YoZuri 3DB 110 jerkbait in white. If you want something a bit smaller but still have a suspending jerkbait, then maybe try a Strike King KVD 200 in a sexy shad or silver shad. Any of those will work great and you can get them off the shelf at Walmart for fairly cheap (for a jerkbait that is). Hope that helps.

Great tips as always. I almost always start with a jerkbait, then to a chatterbait bait. If I can't get them moving I go to a drop shot.

I really like a Rebel minnow when I see active fish. I fish from the bank and those catch lots of fish.
