      speaking as someone who owns a 4.7 liter pc although with ryzen 5 5600x and rtx3060. please consider the temps and the hard labor of changing parts in it. I recently upgraded from a gtx 1070 to rtx 3060, i had to disassemble 60% of the pc just to reach the riser cabe in order to chance it out for a pcie 4.0 and then disassemble some more just to fit the graphics card.

      @@anso3886 to be fair the tdp of the 40 series GPUs is lower for most skews as compared to the 30 series. The rtx 4070 has the same tdp as the rtx 3060ti. And there was a single fan version of the 3060ti, so actually, no, not all new GPUs are running hotter.

    • @kornkernel2232
      @kornkernel2232 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      @@MatiMik0Yep, the newer generation is actually more efficient. It just so happens that NVIDIA and even AMD just push the hardware further to gain more performance that it runs hotter.
      My RTX 4070 Ti is already way better than 3080 Ti while consuming less power. The main issue really is the bad cost. Just overpriced for more than its worth.

      @@anso3886 We're actually approaching the point where the "more powerful" GPU's are only liek 10% faster than the mide-range GPU's, so... The only way to go from here, is to shrink the tech, make it smaller...
      Who knows, maybe shrinking the tech will allow manufacturers to fuse graphics cards together like a sandwich so they can sell them as native-SLI single-unit cards, effectively doubling graphical performance.
      Basically, the only way to improve computer hardware from here, is to upgrade from 2 dimensional design, to 3-dimensional design... No more graphics cards, how about graphics cubes? xD

      And even with a 4060Ti, it would be almost the same as the 3060Ti
      Single fan 4070 where? (It's ~200W just like the 3060Ti/2070/1080 single fan GPUs)

    • @andygevedon6185
      @andygevedon6185 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yeshyk3694 The one thing you're overlooking is the efficiency of the 4060. I built this same pc with a 12600KF (undervolted and power limited) and the GPU is powerful enough without having overly obnoxious fan noise. Of course you could go with a 3060ti, but the difference is relatively small and the cost of the 4060 is roughly $100 cheaper than the 3060ti. If you're looking to drive a 1080p or even a 1440p monitor, this will be able to handle it without a sweat. Looking for high-refresh 4K gaming? You should probably be looking at something bigger with more thermal headroom.

I overclocked the card by +150 core and +200 memory, and the card sits around 75C while in a Densium 4 case which is similar to the Velka 3.

    Just one tip if I may (maybe because of the editing it looks like you didn't, but you prob did) -
    4:11 - "4 provided screws..." you always want to adjust each screw in a cross like fashion. You screw one corner and go to the adjacent corner, never screw the ones that are right next to the screw you just adjusted. This helps the cooling plate of the fan sit evenly with your CPU.

    I copied this build almost exactly except I used an i5-13500T as I had a mini PC with that CPU. Everything went together well in the end. However, it should be noted that the clearance between the GPU fan and side panel is EXTREMELY tight. When I first powered it it, the GPU fan was rubbing against the side panel. After I took it apart, loosened the GPU screws and pushed the GPU in gently and retightened the screws, it no longer rubbed against the side panel; however, even gripping the case while it's running will cause enough pressure for the fan to rub. Also, when fitting in the MB, and the rest of the components for the first time, the fit has very low tolerances, so you have to keep readjusting it until the backplate fits flush with the rear of the case; I personally had to remove the PSU, fit the motherboard in the case and then put in the PSU. Still a pretty straight forward build. It also should be noted that the give you the option of mounting the side panels a little farther away which will leave a small gap between the panels and the case, but it will accommodate slightly larger GPUs or allow for more airflow if desired.

    Very clean build! But as of recent, Optimum tech has made the smallest pc at 3.6L. It does surprise me how well these sub 6L preform in gaming.
