Thank you for your informative video. During Covid lockdown, I picked up the hobby of building 1/12 Bandi Star Wars droids and now I'm working on building sets or dioramas for toy photography. With help of TH-cam content creators, I have learned a lot. Thank you for these tips.

Nice adhesive advice and breakdown of what and when for trucks.
With more Hobby Lobby around, seen use of Modge Podge for clear parts.
Johnson future floor wax is good for small clear parts like light lenses, plus it shines and protects.

Years ago when superglue first came don't, you specifically had to have a smooth shiny surface to get the best strength. I wonder if they have changed the glue nowadays.

Thanks for the advice. I use those glues, but I use two types of super glue. I use liquid and gel super give depending on the situation.

Something I found very useful for a temporary strong bond is either Karo syrup or caramel syrup for ice cream. I suppose anything similar to those might work.
And it washes of with water.
Oh and it took me long time as a kid to realize it was the super glue messing up my chrome and clear parts.

Online hobby shops, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, places like that should have them. They’re called self healing cutting mats.

What's your glue of choice when needing to assemble two painted polystyrene parts? Sometimes you need to paint small parts individually prior to assembly and can't always sand the paint off the gluing surfaces.

I’m very sorry for the late reply, I’m just now seeing this. In the case of gluing paint to paint, I recommend epoxy or, it they’re small parts with no load on them, you could use a drop of the same paint.
