It was still a front runner but by this time, Directors had perfected the art of perspective realism. So while the 1960's spider-man cartoon does not look impressive compared to the standard of 1940's animation. However when you compare it to other televised cartoons from the 60's, it's actually really impressive. Especially when compared to other superhero cartoons of the time. i.e. Captain America had a cartoon in the 60's that was 100% static...
I gotta admit, what I love most about this Spider-Man Is how he could create weapons from his webbing that was almost indestructible. Sure it doesn’t make sense, but it helps him stand out from other Spider-men.
I thought it was confusing as a kid when you would have episodes with villains like Electro and The LIzard, and then Spider-Man's transported to an alien world. Found out years later that it was because they just recycled backdrops from Rocket Robin Hood.
Perhaps the added weight of the metal strip caused the web to be pulled on more, causing a "rubber band" effect shooting Spidey upward at a weird angle.
11:50 oh so that's where the budget went. joking aside, i did see a few episodes of this show fully, and i actually liked it, yea it's goofy and cheesy, but spider-man does actually sound kinda cool sometimes, even if he sounds a tad old.
Paul Soles and Neil Patrick Harris don’t get enough credit for the directions they took in softening Peter’s voice and deepening Spidey’s. It’s a good dynamic I wish we saw more of. It’s unfortunate that, to my surprise, the concept was originally going to be in the PS4 game.
Not gonna lie this is my favorite Spider-Man show of all time, I grew up with Spectacular Spider-Man on tv but I had the DVD’s of the 67' show in my house and I remember all the weird ass storylines, and the creepy ominous tone of some episodes, the amazing soundtrack which can be downright scary and ambient, and all of the issues he and others have for this show minus the animation mistakes are the reason I love it so much, I can watch any adaptation of Spider-Man and find the comic book villains, I like the weird creatures and out of place episodes because they’re unique.

I’ll never forget seeing it for the first time on old videotapes I rented from a local video store in California during my first family vacation! This show was full of exciting action and wild surprises and yes they did a good job of making Spidey really funny, most of the time!
