I think they both do a grand trip with the story and their own flavors of presentation. Metal Warriors also had multiple mechs and a PVP mode. Frankly I'd love to see the return of both franchises, maybe even their IP holders realizing their similar and should throw their bets in together and make a deep universe. However both the games you two mentioned, Valken and Metal Warriors, each have their own benefits and both worth playing through.
Yo if the other Assault Suit games show up in two packs and what not, would love to roll through em again. I got Leynos 1 but a 2 coming back too would be grand. I think there was also an Assault Suit Valken 2 on Saturn but it was japan only. I'd love to get that next.
Wait, Gun Hazard is considered less fine tuned than Assault Suit Valken? The game actually had quite some improvements on Valken. I just wish the sprites were bigger.
@@JetWolfEX Assault Suit Valken has a lot of good qualities including for me that there is a part that takes in space. And the aforementioned bigger sprites. But when it comes to content such as the campaign Front Mission Gun Hazard has it beat as it offers hours more and has a longer story with much more twists. It would have been nice if we could have fitted the Wanzers with all four primary weapons (Vulcan, Shotgun, Laser, and Napalm) and be able to switch between them.
There isn’t pre order available on Canada eshop, only in USA eshop. I hope that doesn’t mean that this game won’t come to Canada which would really suck.
Good one lol and for the vid: 0:35 we got plenty of censorship today. Now we go by style or appearance instead of gender, and overcompensate whenever there's a female protagonists (which is a helluva waffle if gender is an "identity") as Anita Sarkeesian never chose to visit a game with one like phantasy star 4 or the guardian legend. Grand theft auto also censored the Haitians and anything anti LGBT. Dragon Quest 11 censored a horse being shot and a lot of games do cuts away from violence. 3:27 ASS Weapon 😅 Game looks average and not being 2 player is a huge dealbreaker.
How dare you imply Gun Hazard is "sub-standard" to Vaken. As one of Square's experimental action RPGs Hazard is on par at best. Where's that game, aside from fan translations of course.
Gunhazard also has the same director and artists from Valken, shares much of the same engine and physics, that part of the video came out of nowhere, less variety is simply untrue even for Metal warriors with every mission having a different objective and the 6 playable machines.
@@Bobby90 I'm not saying Valken replaces it, my comment was pointing out that them saying GH has worse movement and feel is odd since they're almost the same. It could happen, SquareEnix is running out of games to remaster
@@JetWolfEX That would really be cool, a remastered official translated version of Gun Hazard. I am glad that fans translated it in the 2000s but how things might have been different if it had been released in 1996/7 in the West. Maybe it would have continued as a companion series to the regular Front Mission series.
I had Metal Warriors on SNES and absolutely loved it. If this is even better than that one then I pretty much have to get it.

@@Bangcat Man I'd love to have a physical cartridge with all those on it.
Decided I had to make rounds to like any channel covering Valken.
I've played Cybernator via emulation and was exited to see this release. But damn that price.
It’s on sale right now for 14.99 at least.

I've seen some opinions on Valken being the better game but it's uncommon.

Mech America great again!

Why is --Metal Wolf Chaos-- _Assault suits Valken_ that it is made noise now?
