  • From thinker to observer, Seba Haddad invites us on a journey inside our mind by imagining our mind as a giant movie theatre where our thoughts and emotions project movies all day long. She then describes how we lose ourselves to our inner movies, miss the present moment and close our minds and hearts to the world. Utilising her graphic design background and personal journey, she illustrates a simple three step formula to attain inner peace and become more mindful: creating space, keeping an open mind, and becoming a non judgement observer. @@AffirmLife yes, when we are baby, we cannot walk and speak all we do just observe things for what it is and learn of what we are observing. It's important to unplugged ourselves from the society that poisonous to us internally and plugged that is not poisonous so that we have time to heal.

6:11 "...when we lose ourselves to our inner movies, we miss the present moment and close our minds and hearts to the world..." gives me the picture of myself in the past and I can now see the real reason why I responsed like that: I was regarding myself as if I was gonna be judged, so that inner movie disconnected me to the world outside and I couldn't truly listen to the others' words couldn't comprehend how they were feeling, resulting in poor human relation.
This help me a lot, Seba Haddad. Thank you!!! I wish you all the best.

Quieting the mind is a practice that will come with practice. One of the best ways to do this is to direct your attention to your heart. Where you focus goes energy flows. Taking a mindful deep breath is also a great technique. Practice, and we can achieve the "I am presence" and enjoy just being. Namaste. 🙏

I can't have inner peace, because I am a thinker. I think about people, problems, ideas and deadlines. I think therefore I am. There is an answer to everything and someone somewhere had already thought and written about it. And so I seek knowledge through books and theories. People tell me I overthink and over analyse and I tell them it's how I understand the World. My mind is very active as is yours.
2:53 Something monumental happened that catapulted me to a position where I had no answers and no understanding of the world. There was no solution that someone somewhere had thought about. My only option was to accept and be open to whatever came my way

    Who choose the thought?
    Who is a thinker?
    Who correct the thought?
    Who is a observer?
What is the difference between mind and brain?
Can we be detach observer always?
Thanks for sharing powerful positive beautiful information.... Love you from my depth of heart

Thought arises from permutations and combinations of memory stored in brain they come together to form mind. ( It's like wave in ocean happens automatically because of some external triggeres ) Because thought arise automatically there is no thinker besides thought itself. ( Where is thinker without the thought - thought is thinker) Similarly Observer is Observation ( without observation there is no Observer). There is just Non-dual happening. ( Also Known as Awareness, Consciousness, Brahman )

    Three Steps :
    1) Create a distance with your mind
    2) Keep yourself open - for new information and experience
    3) Become a non-judgmental observer
Our ego always shows us movies either from past or future or comments about present or make any in-general comments like,
Do I look good ?, Am I smart enough? , You are not disciplined at all ! etc.
We have to imagine ourselves sitting in the extreme backseat of a movie theater just looking at the movie our ego is playing on projector, listen to what he is saying without any judgment and welcome new experiences and information through the doors of the theater which are now more closer to us than our ego as we are at the extreme backseat.

They did a study on the messages that the brain sends to the heart..
and somehow discovered that the heart sends more messages to the brain, than it receives.. by a bunch.
They didn’t know why, nor did any of the researchers dare speculate the reasons for this
I myself thought right from the possible reason..
the observer is within the heart, and the reason throughout history things were always heartfelt.. or in your heart of hearts you knew
Infant the strongest feelings of what is right, or wrong.. let alone the falling in love..
are all from your heart, and seems to always shape your thoughts, long before the what some say is rational thinking, that you may think is in your brain..?
Any chance of this being the observer? It makes you think

At least vegans are more mindful of the cruelty towards animals. I respect the thoughts but please don't just add the word vegan because you think it can be used anywhere.

You commented purely on emotion and bias,,it hurt you bcz from the beginning your considered every vegan more mindful than others!!
