On this video I get to change the transmission fluid and fix the leak the car had!! Meaning I got a steal for the price. This was the most concerning factor when purchasing this car. After this we should be able to daily drive the car without problems! Next week we will detail the engine bay and maybe change all the coolant hoses!

Hey thanks man, yeah that's crazy we don't have drain bolts for these pans. It's just like how I found that there was no interior cabin air filter or housing for it on my '06 JGC Ltd. I'm definitely gonna get a new pan with a drain plug later. Thanks! 🍻

Thanks for posting! I’ve had a slow fluid leak which I though was coolant, but now I know it’s the transmission ✨

I have the '00 Laredo 4.0 v6, I had that leak for years after a shop replaced the radiator. I was throwing fluid at it forever. Finally figured out it was coming from those clamp. Thanks for vid, about to do my filter and refill..!

You know when you are low on fluid when it doesn't want to shift into 2nd into a sharp left-hand u-turn.. Lol

Appreciate the video. Might be a good idea to tell everyone what year this car is.

    Excellent video.
I may be wrong but I think the reason for there being no drain plug is because the transmission is
supposedly stocked with lifetime transmission fluid which they say should last the life of the car ... if you can believe that!

Not true. Not on the older Jeeps. I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it is supposed to have transmission filter and fluid change every 100,000 miles.

what is the part number on the gasket?

    Just watched the video.
When changing the pan make sure to lube the Gasket on Transmission Pan with the Oil.
It's just like changing an oil filter. The oil rubbed on the gasket seals the connection as soon as your car heats up.
    Great video and helpful.
I have a 2002 WJ V-8 HO with 170k and am thinking about a Fluid Change.

I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6L Laredo. I am not able to refill the transmissions fluid. Do you know if I am able to do it myself without going to the dealer since it’s expensive there?
