I went to check my transmission fluid because my Jeep was hard down shifting. I didn't see anything and now I know why. I don't think my next vehicle will be a another Jeep. It was already bad enough they got rid of the hand brake, the ability to open the rear window without opening the entire hatchback, and fixed the gas pedal so that you can no longer lift it to rest you foot comfortably on the floor.
@@brandonbrown4187you can add trans oil. There's a tube with a cap that says "Dealer use only" its over by the engine oil dipstick. The one that says dealer only, it doesn't have a trans dipstick in there... you can get one from most autopart stores. But you can also add trans oil down that tube. I just use a narrow funnel. Any repair shop should top it for you, but I had to bandaid mine until I could afford the trans cooler leak and that's how I added oil.
@@ichigohernandez0NO. He said the transfer case & differential fluid checks were under the car. Transmission fluid *port was in the engine bay near the firewall, but does not include any dipstick, because that is a dealer/mechanic issue.
On a 2014 Grand Cherokee can the dashboard warning be trusted to tell you transmission fluid is low? 80k miles here and never changed Transmission fluid.

Where do you add fluid
@@brandonbrown4187 You can't. It's sealed. The hard shifting was actually coming from my transfer case.

You didn't include the transmission fluid
Right that's the only reason I'm here
He said it was under the car and that’s something a mechanic should deal with

Yes, he clearly did. He showed where the port was (near the firewall) and said it is a dealer/mechanic issue.
What about the transmission fluid dipstick how do you check the transmission fluid that's one of the most important fluids exclamation point
Most accurate reading when checking oil would be when the engine is cold and on a level surface.
if you add water to the cooling add only DISTILLED water
Does the 2019 have a power steering fluid canister?
On a 2014 Grand Cherokee can the dashboard warning be trusted to tell you transmission fluid is low? 80k miles here and never changed Transmission fluid.
Could we remove that automatic transmission thing?
Yes,it twists off, then you can put a long zip tie in there to check the trans fluid.
@@duroshebanja6810But can we add fluid to it there
@@OfficialLeeHancho Yup.
@@duroshebanja6810 That’s the sealed thing at the top correct ?
@@OfficialLeeHancho Yup, on the dip stick tube. Twists off CC.
