Peach is so cute and seems to enjoy endless wonder in her environment. Do you find snakes there or is it too cold? When you reach into piled brush and wood I always wonder about snakes.
Your videos & music are ust so relaxing to me ❤ some of my favorite things to do when camping is getting wood, choping kindling etc. Peaches is just really enjoying herself i giggle when she runs after you when your hauling off tge tree debris. How fascinating about the black bear eating dandelions fun to watch. I make dandelion jelly in the springtime it tastes like sunshine 🌞
Hi Amanda. Just decided to subscribe today instead of hunting for your latest drop. Was nice to get it delivered this evening. I bet you have no problem with insomnia. You must sleep like a “log” at night. Have a great week.
Another busy week for you and Peach. Glad to hear the grizzley has moved on. Your black bear is a beauty. Hopefully he doesnt cause any issues. Have a great week :)
Your voice is so lovely to listen to. Just a suggestion, perhaps wear some safety glasses when wood splitting. I saw a splitter throw its load out of the machine and fly everywhere. Very unexpected, so take care of your eyes. Thanks for the bear update. I hang on every word, especially the grizzle encounter 😂😂
Love the sunny days last show I saw was when you shared the grizzly in the neighborhood that was kind of scary. So glad you’re able to get out and about.❤️💯🌈🕊🙏🏻❤
Hi Amanda, having a beautiful Sunny day here. This is another nice video you put out. I keep thinking about your position there and I think you should move here to Alaska and find a Remote lodge caretaking job. At least you will get paid and have food supplied and you don't have to work as hard either. Whatcha think?
Hi Amanda I get great pleasure and relaxation watching you split that wood staking the branches marvelous work and great day to to it. Peachy is doing so well listening to you and seems to be enjoying herself Thanks Amanda love your content
Casual vi su video de este paraíso donde vives ,, mi esposa se identificó en grande con este estilo de vida , y me sucede igual , le deseo mucho amor y paz ❤
Hey Amanda from Aotearoa/New Zealand. Love your videos! We live on our sailboat, a Hans Christian 33 called StarFish, and plan to head up your way in 2025…might take us a while tho!😅
oooooh…. the Hans Christian 33 is one of my favourite boats. i’ve been in one once and wow was it a beauty!!! i highly recommend sailing in the Pacific North West…. it’s so beautiful!!
it’s a lot more work 😆… but a little less stressful. on the boat the most stressful thing, for me, was dealing with other boaters. there are a lot out there that don’t know how to anchor properly and that made me crazy 😁.
Depending on the size of the island, i would let the dog go. Unless you have resident wolves. Bears can’t catch a dog. So the best thing for her to learn to stay close to you is to spend a night or two alone in the woods. Nothing wrong with that. There is nothing worse than having to constantly watch her. It will distract you to no end.
we have resident wolves, so no chance she is going off on her own. a Grizzly can catch a dog, no problem. we have had a Grizzly on this island and other nearby islands this year already.
The bear doesn't come from the beach. He comes from the trail to my right, down the main road or from the trail behind the house. Trust me. I always face the splitter in the best direction :)
Don't think I'd be letting my dog chase after a bear I've seen them go after a dogs the dog keeps on going after the bear if it's a big bear that's stop and swat at the dog I had a shepherd wolf and she went after black bear and I had to go after her because that bear was not backing down
you need to make them afraid of you or they will over run ya... at least kick rocks when you come by please do , for your own safety its simple thier hungry they eat (PERIOD)
I think letting the bear be comfortable incorporating the yard right around the house and cabins as his own territory will end up being a mistake. I think you should carry an airhorn and should train the bear to be afraid of you. Or you could fire a gun for the sound effect. I think the safety of all the dogs who use the place depends on it. A bold black bear can be a serious nuisance at the least and a danger at the worst. If I lived there I would have a firearm with rubber bullets.
This black bear has been hibernating and feeding his belly on this island for his entire life. Probably since this property was developed (25 years ago, long before I arrived) as he is a very old man now. In those many years he has lived peacefully with every owner of this property. He always leaves the property at the first sign of humans. I do have bear spray and bear bangers. I am ready to use them, but have never had to.
hard to believe that anybody would sit back and watch somebody split wood. And here I am- and feeling blissfully peaceful while doing so
😆… that’s amazing!!
Society has fallen. I watch a guy in his van cooking eggs.
😆
Peach always looks like she's having a blast. Splitting wood is a hard job, take it easy and enjoy the beauty of the island.
I simply enjoy your videos and lifestyle. Thank you for sharing whenever you can 🌷.
Greatest view at the end of the dock. Looks like mountains and trees. Like an artist's painting!
it’s so beautiful! it changes every day with all the different types of morning light.

Another relaxing (to watch) day in the woods. You’ve fashioned a pretty good life there. Well deserved.
Glad you enjoyed it

Even three years ago videos. ❤😂
Love the sunny days last show I saw was when you shared the grizzly in the neighborhood that was kind of scary. So glad you’re able to get out and about.❤️💯🌈🕊🙏🏻❤
So cute Peach trying to walk you with her leash. She's trying to show you what its like! All that wood chopping will have you in fighting bear shape!
moving wood around is getting easier, but i still don’t see any new muscles 😆
Another great video. As a guitar freak, I really enjoy the music you choose.
Great video, i really enjoyed watching. That is a lot of wood splitting lol
Your cinematography & music are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! 🧡🧡
Enjoyed watching you and Peach in the sunshine having a perfectly nice day, chopping wood, avoiding black bears and driving around in the golf cart.

@@AmandaOffGrid Well if we get up to your neck of the woods come aboard! 😉
Love it. How to visit?
Do your employers operate the property as a holiday rental, or is it just friends and family that come to stay? It's an absolutely beautiful place!
I was wondering since you sail, how the experince of off the grid is diffrent for you
it’s a lot more work 😆… but a little less stressful. on the boat the most stressful thing, for me, was dealing with other boaters. there are a lot out there that don’t know how to anchor properly and that made me crazy 😁.
Can you go for a walk, to forage, in the forest Amanda - or is it just too risky with the bears around?
hi… not much to forage in that forest. it’s mostly cedar trees in there and they make mess. there is one trail, but doesn’t go too far.
Depending on the size of the island, i would let the dog go. Unless you have resident wolves. Bears can’t catch a dog. Turn your splitter around you’ll have less work and you’ll be facing the beach to watch for mr Bear

yes… that’s my worry. that he’ll decide not to back down… that one time. i don’t know that i have it in me to ‘let’ Peach go after a bear.
