I guessed it would be around 475-480…great vid!
Love the black on the 1LEs, wouldve been my next choice over the cherry tintcoat, looks and sounds great man!
Thank you!
Really nice build. This is what I am hoping to do on my 2017 2SS. At the moment I just have a AWE Catback with a Rotofab cold air intake. Looking to do a LT2 Intake with a larger throttle body and some 2" headers. Awesome numbers considering the cost of the bolt on is super affordable compared to say a supercharger.
And going full bolt on is much more reliable than throwing boost at it. The car makes for a great track car that can be beaten all day and begs for more.
Good numbers.
Thanks!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great vid bro! I’m basically running the same mods minus the 2” headers mine are SE 1 7/8 through an auto. I’m thinking it’ll be good for 475 or so.
Most definitely!
for no heads or cam thats great power brother
Yeah for sure! The car definitely moves out for being just bolt ons.
should easily be at 500 with those mods
490whp/496wtq. Hot humid day
Made about 90 HP with that set up not bad nice set up bro
My car made 462hp 495tq on flex fuel when the tuner dyno’d it. The car has the stock intake manifold though with a rotofab cai, headers , borla Atak I love how the car runs I really wanna go with the msd to wake it up more up top but I think I’m gonna wait till I can afford to go cammed to mess with the msd
I honestly don’t think a cam is necessary if it’s a street car or road course car. The intake manifold and throttle body open the top end up dramatically. I make 490/496 and my car hits 180 mph on 93 octane with little effort.
This car fbo with e85 is still faster than 5th gens that are fbo and heads cam. The 6th gen is a solid car.
Sounds like nascar at the top end
Feels like a NASCAR at the top end 😂
Do you think this setup will be good for a LT1 10 speed ? 🤔
It’ll be even faster in a lt1 with the 10 speed. Your lighter and can’t beat that 10 speed gearing and lightning fast shifts.
What dyno was that? Those are some good numbers.
Dynojet. Thank you
Is standard or SAE reading. Nonetheless great numbers
I believe its STD.
how was driving this to the shop on the stock tune? i was thinking of doing the same thing but with the ported LT2 intake instead
I did the full bolt on install in my driveway and drove to the tuners house for a street tune. I just drove it like a grandma part throttle until I got there. Car didnt act funny at all.
My street tune power was only 5whp off from the dyno pull tune.
Yo you look like benzema the soccer player for real Madrid
Bro. I’ve been told that 1000 times.
Shouldn't the dyno pull be in SAE? STD reads higher than SAE right?
I’ve heard the same. But I think about weather correction factors. But not sure. Good question.
Very solid
The 1LE has the LT4 intank fuel pump.
That definitely helps with making use of the E blend
Great channel man
Appreciate you putting the work in for these!
After installing the parts by yourself will it turn on safely since it’s not tuned? I’m still new to the LT platform. What are credits from Hp tuner ?
Yes turned on and drove it to the tuner. Check out the install video I uploaded before this one.
The credits were 200-400 bucks. I can’t remember but you need credits to tune the engine, and separate credits for the transmission tuning if you have the auto.
@@Saldalaperformance oh for sure 200-400 not bad for the credits. and for the tune itself how much did you pay? Mines a manual.
@@Saldalaperformance also I was wondering what pushrods do and if I need them with the mods
I upgraded pushrods because I thought one was bent. Gave me peace of mind. A tune can run you with the credits from 600-1500 depending on who you use.
Do they use HP tuner credits during the dyno tuning session?
No. Once you purchase your credits, it’s locked in for life. As far as I know.
Is it obnoxiously loud with That MBRP Axleback?
In the throttle it’s loud af. But at part throttle, cruising, you can manage it with throttle control
@@Saldalaperformance so it’s pretty normal
When you just driving normally?
Absolutely
Just curious were this non corrected pulls?
I want to tell you that this is corrected. But if it makes a difference for you, it was hot, humid, and the DA was terrible that day. 9 second 60-130 at full weight.
Whats a fbo ss do for a 0 to 60mph? Or 0 to 100km
Stock is 4.0. Assuming you’re on a drag radial or on a slick tire, you can see mid 3 seconds on the stock car with the proper launch. I’m not sure about full bolt on. I wouldn’t doubt on a drag strip and a good tire, you could be close to the high 2s or low 3s 🤷🏽♂️. But that’s just a guess.
Why don't you add an ati super damper? You'd probably add another 15+ hp.
In just weight reduction on the hub?
Just looked into it…nah. Not worth all that work for maybe 10hp.
I’d rather keep it as is and put a bottle on it when I get bored.
@@Saldalaperformance Threw one on my 2013 charger rt when I had it and it did make a difference, but I didn't install it myself. A 🍼 would definitely make up for that. Lol
So you should be around 50 to 60 whp above stock with e85. Thats a very happy dyno.
How do you figure? Car has cold air intake, intake manifold, throttle body, 2” headers, no cats. And then e85.
The car makes roughly 405whp stock. Mods are will net it 450whp or so. E85 is 30-40 whp more.
These #'s are legit bro.
These engines respond well to E85
His mods are right where they are expected to be. Stock these cars with manual put down 400-420 ish dynojet pending weather and elevation, fuel ect
@@Saldalaperformance hey brother , friend of mine drives 2018 SS Camaro . It’s 100% stock so I advised him to tune instead of buying a zl1 . I advised him the manifold , headers and x pipe(with original muffler and no e85) . I told him 40whp should be realistic. What do you think?
@@SUBIESAMURAI07 the best bang for the buck would be headers and e85.
The manifold will help move the power band up and make the car more balanced. But the power will be made mostly through the headers.
Upgrade the throttle body too to not create a bottle neck effect between the intake arm and manifold.
Full bolt on would also be boost
“Boost” would be called forced induction. I’m already as full bolt on as it gets.
Not really lol but yeah you can bolt a supercharger on right? Lmao
