    Respect for showing the results and changing your opinion on the results Brett!! Nobody is right all the time. I think most people will have gained more respect for you after watching this and how you handled it.

      I just follow the data. And tell the truth about what I find. That is all we can do. The numbers fell where they fell. I appreciate the kind words.

    Bought two LT2 manifolds from Rock Auto at $175 each shipped. First just cleaned runners and used stock throttle body. Second one fully ported and snout opened past oring groove for 95mm throttle body. Been using second one for over two Years and love the results.

    LT2 intake shines when you modify anything that is going to make the engine physically consume more air…heads/cam/etc… mine breathed awesome up top in the high rpm’s… good video,class👌🏻

    After watching this, I'm glad I decided to get an LT2 with LT5 TB and saved the money. I've got CAI, LT2 intake kit w/ LT5 95mm TB, stage 2 cam kit (Cam Motion), ported the heads, 1 7/8" ARH headers, x-pipe, mid-pipes running into the stock NPP muffler. The car turned 502whp on the dyno and I'm completely satisfied. I'd love to be able to get the opportunity for you to put your hands on it for a tune because there's no doubt you could get more out of it, but I'm extremely happy with what I got at this point with my 2017 Camaro. I'll prolly go with an axle-back and I'll be done with it

    My ss made 480 gpi tuned, e85, ported by me lt2, 95mm tb, 2" speed engineering headers. Then did 225btr cam and decked heads as much as possible with notched pistons. Made 541 again gpi tuned. Miss that car. 😪

    Comment so much later here. When you compare these manifolds on a full bolt on Motor... you will (probably) see a much larger difference between them all. Would love to see this whole thing again on a Heads Cam Car with all the bolt-ons. Best guess is the MSD pulls way ahead. Just a guess. like I said.. would love to see that. No ones got time for that though.

    Been running an LT2 for a coupl3 months now, enjoy the slight increase in top end power, wasn't even going to buy one but my buddy sold me his already modified mani with the C8 cover for $250, so it was a no brainer, thinking of porting it and adding a 95 now.

  • @LegendCycles1
    @LegendCycles1 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Would be interested to see what an unported LT2 would make. Others have showed it was a negligible difference. Maybe 3hp or so. I've been watching for some times with the recent debate on the manifolds. I paid all of $170 for an LT2 delivered to my door. Appreciate what you have done. Modification to fit was maybe 45 min. Think I was all in $220 and maybe 30 min swap.

    Not to be argumentative (and for what it’s worth), but you can def run a 103 on an LT2. And you don’t need an extender for the map if you pull the factory wiring from the loom.

    • @FromVtotheD
      @FromVtotheD ปีที่แล้ว

      Well that’s what he said he didn’t want to cut up the loom on his daughter car. And also I believe you have to cut up the intake and then jb weld it for 103 to work?

    • @ish_garage9432
      @ish_garage9432 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FromVtotheD I guess I misunderstood what he was saying (kids and wife talking lol). I was just pointing out you don’t have to buy an extension harness or cut wires.
      You bore out/port the inlet into the o-ring channel. So you have to seal the TB, but no jb weld was needed on the one I ran.

      I got a good deal on a ported LT2 manifold, think I’d go well with my setup? All I have is a rotofab intake and a ported stock throttle body. I don’t plan to go all out with my setup but for a good deal I’m willing to add a few ponies.
