@@autofanaticcars I recently got a Liquid carnauba based wax. Do not suggest liquid based wax ? are they not so effective as paste wax. if so can you help with some details. thank you
I've watched tons of detailing videos with all types of polishers and multi product 1 million step super complicated processes. I gotta say this is simple, and to the point. One of the most perfect paint jobs i've seen. Gorgeous car. Thanks for the vid.
Ive spent a shit load of money on all kinds of waxes and sealants to find the “ONE” . All kinds Meguiars, Mothers, Griots, Chemical Guys, 3M, Turtle Wax, etc..... But the two solid brands that i keep coming back to is Collonite & Finish Kare High Temp Wax!!!!! Out here in California you bet your ass you need to protect your vehicle from constant sun! For me Finish Kare High Temp Wax is awesome! You guys should try it!
Back in the 1970s, I used Blue Coral. Apply and removing was very difficult. You'd want to quit after after five minutes. I would have quit but saw results on my first panel and toughed it out.
I applied the colinite 915 on my white acura rlx and man does it pop, this wax is a lot of fun to use, as usual the prep is the most crucial part...thanks again worth every penny!!!!! I use the meguiars applicator too
I just used the Collinite 915 on my ladies car today. I did a wash and clay, then the collinite. I will say, it is not perfect, my first time applying a paste wax, but the paint on her chevy Cruze feels almost as good as the paint on my Camaro that I wash almost weekly, using an assortment of stuff from Auto Fanatic, Adam's, Masterson's, etc. Even I was a little impressed with how her paint feels. I have found myself just caressing the paint and thinking there, I did that!! I'm now a big fan of paste wax, and cant wait till it's time for my Camaro to get Collinite!
the Auto Fanatic 007 Gloss Enhancer will make the paint feel just like you applied 915, you gotta pick some up to keep your hard working looking great. Best way to upkeep after a wash
Next time I wax it’s gonna be 915. Will apply first week in July. I been using 845 and I’m satisfied. I live in Rome NY which is only about 15-20 min away from Utica NY where the Collinite factory is. They have a little store front which you can buy there products fresh. Always enjoy going there. Once again great channel and can’t wait to see when you introduce your own auto soap and spray Detailer equal to VO7.
Thanks! I was thinking about Auto Glym HD Wax. But Collonite seems to be the king in depth look. And its 200 Swedish Bucks cheaper! So think ill go with the Collonite 915! 👍
For my 2019 camaro 2SS 1. I use CG mirror wet finish GLAZE 2. I use a CG hybrid V7 spray sealant 3. First coat of collinite 915 I put it on my rotator and rub it around and let it sit for 4 minutes 4. Buff in first coat 5. Another coat of collinite 915 let that sit for 1 minute and buff it out with microfiber towel 6. CG spray wax that I apply ever week after my light wash I love the way my car looks I spend hours each week cleaning and I remove all the glazed and sealants every month and reapply everything I KNOW THAT THIS ISN’T NEEDED AT ALL BUT I LOVE DOING IT SO YEA.
Beautiful Mustang, I can’t wait to get an 03 / 04 Cobra in a few more yrs. Trying to learn more about detailing and the better products to use and I’ve been enjoying your videos
Just completed paint correction on my mustang I have been using 845 but this time I used 915 and it looks awesome but like you said a little goes a long way It take a little longer but worth it
Fantastic, I'm from Brazil and I also love taking care of the car, I have collinite and I think it's incredible. If you can try a sensational Brazilian wax. Vonixx - Blend Black and then comment what you think. hug (i don't speak english i'm using google, so any mistake sorry)
What an amazing gloss on this gorgeous Shelby ... i am going to be using the collinite 845 because its curing time is shorter, I dont have a garage and here in Martinique it could always rain. I was wondering how you would wax on and around the large Range Rover letters back and front. Would you do a meticulous waxing and buffing or a fast job like on the shelby emblem ? Also, do you wax your wheels? I will be waxing on the sonax spray & seal quick sealant. Love your free thinking in this detailing industry, you kind of stand out, thanks !
I have buffer marks, holograms on my truck fender where the hood meets(thanks to the dealer)I've got a lot of top products and tools to remove this but not having much luck.I used Sonax perfect finish on my Rupes 15 and also used the Rupes products and still there.Got any advice on this, it just annoys the crap out of me the rest of the truck is glossy and perfect except for that one area. Thanks
yes...915 does not compare to pinnacle. I tried them both. I have a brand new tin that im trying to get rid of because pinnacle is a show wax. So i gave Collinite 915 a shot because of all the hype and was disappointed. Like the man says, he won't try another brand because he is content with that wax. It works in his world but look at all the reviews for both. Drawbacks for pinnacle is the price but the saying is true, you pay for what you get. They both did not last more than 4 months as a video on youtube shows but ease of application is incredible for pinnacle and the shine and gloss is unbelievable.
NICE VIDEO..THANKS ...I HAVE A 2016 GT 350 DEEP IMPACT BLUE. IVE HAD IT A YEAR NOW & PUTTING CA. GOLD CARNUBA WAX ON IN PAST I TOOK IT TO A TOP AUTO DETAILER & HE SUGG. HAVING MY CAR CLAY BARRED THEN CERAMIC COATED. HE SAID IT WILL LAST A GOOD 2 YEARS & LAST LONGER THAN WAX OR SPRAY ONS + IT WILL OUT SHINE & BEAD WATER + PROTECT THE PAINT BETTER......PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR INPUT.THANKYOU.
Auto Fanatic, I’m about to apply Collinite 915 to my black Mustang GT. It’s been corrected with 3M Perfect-It polishes. Do you recommend a surface/paint prep wipe-down such as an IPA wipedown to remove any polish oils? Some retailers remommend panel wipe downs and some say just apply the wax right after paint correction. Looking forward to the Collinite 915 application. Thanks, Howard.
doesnt matter if the panels are perfected you can just wipe them down with a clean towel and apply the wax, the trick is apply the wax with the panels warm to the touch not cold.
Auto Fanatic, I just recently finished a complete paint correction on my black 2014 Mustang GT. I have been looking for a wax over the last few days. I came across your channel/videos. You recommend Collinite 915.After watching your video, I just ordered some a few minutes ago. Also you said you like the V07 spray. Do you use the CG V07 spray to detail your whole car or do you just use it to mist the pad applying the 915, and cleaning up any left over wax residue off the panels? Thanks again for the recommendation on the 915. I’m looking forward to adding a shine, depth to my black Mustang.
i no longer use any CG stuff, i came out with my oo7 spray which blows everything else away. Also yes use the 915 i just did two coats today on my new car after 6 hours of paint correcting it.
I did try the mastersons shampoo ,not sure if it was the foam cannon i used or the water ,it was very thin and watery wasnt impressed i think i will get the mtm fc you use hoping that will fix the problem and get honey doo snow from cg's
might be the GPM of your power washer, all of those soaps produce crazy foam, the mTM you can adjust the water to foam ratio on the top knob, it works great
Have you used the 476S on paint ? I purchased it after watching your wheels videos. Just checking since It's something else I can offer potential clients. The 350 looks amazing in this video !
Do you let it cure long enough ? If you remove it so quick, don't you remove almost all the wax. I have a new mustang for about 3 weeks now and I cleaned it and waxt it when I came home from the dealer the first day I had it. But I left the colonite on for 10 -15 minutes so it was totally dry. It was hell to get it of and I had a painfull shoulder for a hole week. I really was planning to throw the collonite in the garbage..... Now I see this,I'm going to give it another try. Thanks !
big mistake ha ha ha, glad you found my video, if the temps are warm the wax flashes over quickly, back growing up i use to see old guys using Turtle Wax paste in direct sun then drive around for a day without removing it to only realize it would not come off, i rememebr watching this old guy cursing as he used Brillo to get it off, this was back in the early 80-s it was hysterical.
make sure you get the PFM towels and CG V07 and do it as i show you here and you will knock out the job in under an hour. Let me know once you give it another shot
Auto Fanatic, thank you for a great video!!! Can you please tell me is there some replacement for V07 for the same purpose of misting a foam pad? I’m asking that because there are many people on Amazon not quite happy with an effect it does on a cars (leaves many stricks). I understand, you are using it for a different purpose, just wondering if I can use some other detailing spray like Optimum detailer, Griots Speed Shine, some Menzerna products etc?
Another basic question. Some of the microfiber towels I own, from the Rag Company, have a plush and non-plush side. Would you ever use the non-plush side to remove wax?
PPF is now the smartest idea for where I live except its too late, the roads are so bad with potholes and gravel its just dangerous around here. Il do PPF soon on another car I get.
How often do you change out the waxing pad? I’m always paranoid that I’m picking up small dust and dirt particles with it, so I change it out every two waxes
i buy these pads in bulk at the autobody supply i change them out often they are cheap, don't waste time trying to clean them . I like to use a new pad every time i wax a car
I have a brand new GT350R, applied 915, and everything cane out great, but I’ve noticed in direct sunlight now I have some sort of hologram on the door, is it because I applied the wax improperly, or do I need a paint correct ? The car only has 200 miles and the paint is perfect.
Auto Fanatic I would assume that is the issue , I feel that I was applying to a large area and didn’t completely remove the product , thanks for your help brother love the videos.
well my cars look better than everyone i know who has a coating, thats just a fact people think ceramic is like a one shot deal and its perfect but there is a lot of upkeep and drawbacks that owners do not realize until after.
:-( I got the collinite, pads n the griots's . It was easy going on, but it was WORK!! getting it off. Does it get easy as you do it after a number of times?????
@@autofanaticcars thanks alot. I did go faster, I put it on n in like 30secs or so, I whip it off with the griots microfiber. It's still alil work, but better then that first time.
Yes you can. Using a clean paint scraper or even a butter knife you apply it to your pad like you’re buttering toast. You don’t need a lot. Use light pressure (the weight of your da) and a lower speed setting and you’ll get a nice thin coating of wax that removes easily. You can do this with liquid waxes and sealants as well.
I waxed my car a year ago, would you recommend removing the old wax and then re applying a fresh coat? If you do, how do you suggest getting that off? Thanks mate
Can I put 915 on my wheels? I have 20x10 -19 wheels and it won't be too hard to apply just didn't know if it's okay to put on or not? Or do you recommend something else?
I’m talking about a specific brand though , my dad was taught to use it by our cousin who was a professional detailer. It’s called “Pro yellow wax” I think , my dad says it’s the best wax to use but I’m going to try out the one you use , and yours is more accessible
you can try it, i have tried powerlock way back when it came it works great but its just an extra step i wish i had time for these days. after paint correction i just do a nice 915 application and it seems to ROCK on all colors. give 915 a shot.
So if 476S is a pure synthetic, then it would be classified as a Paint Sealant. Which makes sense, as it's durability and life span is much longer than both 845 (Hybrid), and 915 (Carnuba). But as far as aesthetics go, nothing will top a premium carnuba wax like 915. The depth it adds to paint is just wild, even on yellow Z06's ;)
Estcst Obx i did a quick da the day i received it over a year ago just on a few spots the dealers prep center did like crap other than that routine waxing 6 times year and washing 3-4 times a week is all i do
Greetings AF, Genuine question here… are you not a firm believer of ceramic coatings ? In my opinion , I find it unnecessary if you’re meticulous about your paint work. I do regular maintenance paint maintenance on my car.
everyone who i know who has a coating their cars do not look as good as mine, customers who paid mega bucks to have their wheels coated thinking it would come clean with a spray of the hose have all been misled because that also is not true. not saying these coatings are bad i just see no need to spend thousands on them when a can of $40 wax can give incredible results and just aid in your detailing process, i actually enjoy doing this this like millions of car lovers around the world. Wax is not going to be replaced anytime soon as was cassettes and CD's for music youll see.
Auto Fanatic thank you for validating it for me :) I say the same things to my friends . Do not always believe the hype . Keep it up AF, I enjoy watching ur videos , love your content .
Swoldier Jan I use Finish Kare Hi-temp paste wax with Adams Buttery Wax on top. When I was my truck I use Hybrid V07 as the drying aid. It seems to be a good combo for me. As far as coatings are concerned they say not to wax your car after application. Well I like waxing it so I won't use it.
Auto Fanatic wow and here I was thinking I was the only person thinking the same. Everyone I know is telling me I NEED to ceramic coat my new raptor, but I think it’s insane to spend $1500-$2500. You would think if the coating is that good the manufacturer would apply it at the factory. What do you think about the consumer grade ceramics that you can get for $100? I just had a paint correction done and thinking about doing that myself but still on the fence.
I’ve always preferred high grade waxes to ceramic coatings. Love the work in waxes and sealants
All the years I’ve been waxing my cars it’s been wrong! Thanks for this video! And the paint looks like glass incredible!
yeah this wax adds so much depth and gloss it is simply amazing

Auto Fanatic, I just recently finished a complete paint correction on my black 2014 Mustang GT. I have been looking for a wax over the last few days. I came across your channel/videos. You recommend Collinite 915.After watching your video, I just ordered some a few minutes ago. Also you said you like the V07 spray. yes it is awesome i posted a video on the channel few months back literally bare hands waxing the Ferrari F355 you gotta see that one on the channel
Ridiculous 🔥🔥
How does this wax stand up against the new ceramic coatings?
well my cars look better than everyone i know who has a coating, thats just a fact people think ceramic is like a one shot deal and its perfect but there is a lot of upkeep and drawbacks that owners do not realize until after.
if paint correction is required down the road, how do you remove the wax?
Onyx Haze I use this special soap once a month from chemical guys it removes the wax.... after like 10 minutes of sitting
:-( I got the collinite, pads n the griots's . It was easy going on, but it was WORK!! getting it off. Does it get easy as you do it after a number of times?????
work faster next time once you get the hang of it you can knock the entire car out in 45 min or less.
@@autofanaticcars thanks alot. I did go faster, I put it on n in like 30secs or so, I whip it off with the griots microfiber. It's still alil work, but better then that first time.
Beautiful car! So when you wash your car it doesn't strip this wax off? You said you only do this 6 times a year.
no this wax does not strip off like most junk out there, in order to get it out you need a solvent remover or IPA
Auto Fanatic Consider me sold! Appreciate it
I wonder what you think of ceramic coating?
DuckyRC to much money
what you use for matte wheels bro?
Do you think, i can apply this with my Meguiars da power system with black wax pad?
Yes you can. Using a clean paint scraper or even a butter knife you apply it to your pad like you’re buttering toast. You don’t need a lot. Use light pressure (the weight of your da) and a lower speed setting and you’ll get a nice thin coating of wax that removes easily. You can do this with liquid waxes and sealants as well.
I use collinite 845 and have nice results, wax > any coatings
try the 915 next i think you may like it, i also think it smells better too.
Thank you sir best advice
I waxed my car a year ago, would you recommend removing the old wax and then re applying a fresh coat?
If you do, how do you suggest getting that off?
Thanks mate
Can i do it on swerl mark
Can I put 915 on my wheels? I have 20x10 -19 wheels and it won't be too hard to apply just didn't know if it's okay to put on or not? Or do you recommend something else?
Zack Androsko yes pull them off car and do them 👍
Tell me this isn’t chrisfix 😂😂😂
Have you ever used yellow carnuba wax ?
most wax is yellow base it depends on the solvents and other oils that are in it to make it work well.
I’m talking about a specific brand though , my dad was taught to use it by our cousin who was a professional detailer. It’s called “Pro yellow wax” I think , my dad says it’s the best wax to use but I’m going to try out the one you use , and yours is more accessible
Any wax you recommend for black car? I just got my new 18 GT
Pinnacle Souverain
I use 845 & menzerna powerlock combo. Can I use this 915 & menzerna powerlock combo? Ty
you can try it, i have tried powerlock way back when it came it works great but its just an extra step i wish i had time for these days. after paint correction i just do a nice 915 application and it seems to ROCK on all colors. give 915 a shot.
Auto Fanatic thank you for your super fast response. Glad found your channel! Absolutely will give it a shot. Your videos ROCKS AF!
wanted to know the question about if I use the POWERLOCK do I need to wait the 8 hours before I apply the COLLINITE 476?
try it on a panel first, you will never hurt anything with these coatings
I just waxed my car and made a big mistake putting it on too thick. It left the job streaky.
So whats the difference between collinite 915 vs collinite 476s ?
Which is better?
big difference 476 is a synthetic blend 915 pure carnauba
So if 476S is a pure synthetic, then it would be classified as a Paint Sealant. Which makes sense, as it's durability and life span is much longer than both 845 (Hybrid), and 915 (Carnuba). But as far as aesthetics go, nothing will top a premium carnuba wax like 915. The depth it adds to paint is just wild, even on yellow Z06's ;)
Can I use the VO7 on the whole car after waxing
Cameron Brown yes i usually do to always level out the finish in case you missed spots during removal of wax
Did you do any sort of paint correction to this or just wax?
no al i did was wash the car, dry and wax, car does not need any correction
Looks great have you ever corrected it?
Estcst Obx i did a quick da the day i received it over a year ago just on a few spots the dealers prep center did like crap other than that routine waxing 6 times year and washing 3-4 times a week is all i do
what actually is paint correction ?
Hey man, what's your opinion on microfiber applicators? Just curious
i do not use them for wax only with my Secret Weapon product to remove stuff. Check my new video and description for that link to view video.
What size of the applicator pad are you using??
Ethan Kim should be 4-4.5 inch standard i do not like the larger ones
Greetings AF,
Genuine question here… are you not a firm believer of ceramic coatings ?
Well I like waxing it so I won't use it.
i like waxing too
Auto Fanatic wow and here I was thinking I was the only person thinking the same.
Where did you get those microfiber towels?
Amazon sells them, link posted above they are awesome
Is this car ceramic coated?
no it is not
Nice video... ✌🏼💪🏼👌🏼
Can this be applied to glass like the 845?
It says on the can that it's not recommended for glass, rubber, or trim.
HOW DO I CLEAN THE WAX PADSSS
you don't toss them out and move on
