It's funny how many terrifyingly unique sounds and feels you get to deal with on motorcycles, if you ride them long enough over many years under all conditions, lol. Much shared empathy for mucky, salty, wet winter weather riding, my friend!

Thanks for the Vid. great bike! I own a flat black 1500 myself. Driving it through winter. When salty and wet I rinse the under of my bike everyday. Hopping to reduce the cumbersome maintenance to once year. Keep on ! Love your content.

A hand impact driver is one of those tools that once you've used, you can't understand how you ever lived without one.

Great job mate - such a beast of a bike - it never fails to impress me how much presence these big Goldwing's have. And thank you both so much once more for the awesome birthday message - so very much appreciated! Go safe! xx

Good maintenance to keep those calipers/brake system in top condition 👍

Buy a few gallons of salt away. Every time you come in from a ride. Hook the attachment to your hose and rinse it down. You don't have to hit the whole bike. But get your brakes and your tires each time. That will help them stay in balance. And it will not build up the salt and sand and corrosion. On your rims or tires and it will keep your brake system clean and working properly. I've been using it for years and I've never went through what you're going through. It's just a suggestion but you could save you a lot of extra work and worry

I'm glad I ate my lunch before watching my weekly episode. Those were proper NASTY!! But as we learn from watching your channel, regular routine maintenance will keep our bikes alive. Hope you're doing well, and I'm exciting for the new build coming up. Have a great weekend Penny & Del!

Hi Del. I just bought a 1989 GL1500, so like your HD videos, I’ll be watching for some tips and tricks on the GL!

These are great! It's like cleaning a muzzle loader. Thank you both for all you are teaching us. From Mid Missouri.

Gosh Del mate. I’d forgotten what riding through British winters was like. My brakes used to be like that riding in Yorkshire in Winter. No such problems now here in NZ though. Thanks for the vids mate.

Cracking video as always mate. Sadly I also live and ride in the countryside so totally understand this and is similar to what I do every 4-6 weeks in the winter months. Not long til it will be summer though thankfully!

Nice video Del & Penny. Excellent bit of maintenance, that's the price you pay mate for living in a great part of the country when it's not winter LOL. I think we need to send you a little bit of sunshine, but only a little bit LOL. Penny and you have a relaxing weekend and take care. Cheers

I think we Aussies are getting soft. I live in Brisbane in sunny Queensland (most of the time) and I'm not sure I have it in me to do the kind of regular maintenance you need because of your environment. If it's raining here, I tend to leave the bike in the garage because the next day is generally fine and my bike won't get too dirty. So I take my hat off to you. Another great video by the way.
