Nice timing for the video as I intend to service the forks on my year 2000 GL1500 SE. I have contemplated replacing the stock fork springs and fitting progressive springs. Will most probably stick with the 10 weight oil though. The front tyre will also need replacing as it’s down to approximately 1.5mm tread depth. I will be fitting an Avon AV91 Cobra Chrome tyre to compliment the Avon as fitted to the rear of the bike. Greetings from Nottingham U.K.
Hello Michael, that's awesome, hopefully the videos will be useful. I think that's a good call on the progressive springs, I would have put some in myself, but I just didn't want to spend the hundred dollars right now. Besides if I take it one step at a time maybe I will find out what works the best even if it means taking everything apart a few times. Good luck with yours!! And greetings back to the U.K.
I’ve done this a few times but still enjoy watching. Thanks for your videos and helping us to keep these bikes rolling!
Thank you Mark, I appreciate that!

I bought a small suction cup from harbor freight and use it to pull the body panels straight off.
I’ve never tried that but I guess it could be useful for some situations
