    Of the 3 you've done so far this one is my favorite.

    I’m an experienced maker, but I have a couple of friends who want to learn to build things. This is a great first project for me to teach them.
    Thanks!!

    If you want straight 2x4s, get the straightest 16ft section instead of an 8ft and cut them down in the parking lot. The 16ftrs come from the lower part of the tree which is generally more structurally sound and straighter.

    It'd so cool for you to build all the available "kits" out there and make it a series or playlist. Great video!

    awesome build!! but over the years, i have learned that some type of insert hardware or carriage bolts work best for longevity. lag bolts and framing hardware components like truss clips, brackets and plates

    I absolutely love this, this is exactly how I would do one GMTA (great minds think alike). 2X4 top front would support a fluorescent light, and Wham-O a pegboard. The build you did on the previous video,this would have been my add-ons. Stay safe & may ALL be blessed.

    This is probably the best and strongest bench you've built out of the 3 and it ended up being the cheapest one. That's the best part

    This is so great and has given me some ideas! How could you modify it to have a semi-circular cut out like a silversmith bench? I don't want to lose the strength of that top layer, but not sure how to make it work for something with curves.
    Thanks!

    I'm about to start my new work bench build my self. It will be 3 feet deep and 16 feet long and sit about 36 ish inches tall. Will have a 3/4 ply top with 3/4 mdf on top of that. My miter saw will sit almost in the middle of it. Not sure if I'm doing drawers or just shelves. Either way it will be fully closed in to minimize the dust inside it. I will also have a 4 foot by 8 foot work bench in front of that for doing assembly work and so on. I priced all of it to be close to $500 for both without doing drawers.

    If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing with all this workbenches you've been building? If you don't know what to do with him, you could always donate them to a local maker space or shop class. Another good option is You could turn one into a potting station for potting plants.

      Great ideas. I gave one to a neighbor, but I never thought of a maker space, thank you.

      I don't have a link to the cut list. I was hoping everyone could just pause the screen to get the numbers.

      just make it a pdf and store it in a cloud where people can click the link and print it out. include your drawings even. this way your work can be shared to those who are less likely to use a pen and paper or someone who doesnt go on the web very often if at all.
      yes there are those.@@SpecificLove7

    I don't know how to use power tools or how to build things. I will be learning by watching yt videos. I need a bench like yours but just a bit shorter in length for my freeze dryer. It needs to support atleast 200 lbs on top shelf plus have room for oil pump on the side. I'd love for you to build one of those for me to watch. I'm sure many others with freeze dryers would love it also. Maybe something with drawers under first shelf for mylar bags and O2 absorbers.

    What size wood screws did you use for this bench? Are they 1 inch #10? Thanks

    • @SpecificLove7
      @SpecificLove7  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most of the screws were 2.5" #9, but if you use #10 it might be even stronger.

    Considering the fact that most people wouldn't count the screws (something that you already have in the shop) you did make it under $100! And why did you not leave the back of the shelves straight with the base? That would make it easier to cut out and to slip into place.

    • @SpecificLove7
      @SpecificLove7  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I left the back of the shelves long to keep stuff from falling off the back.
