I think these drop forged knives are great. Got the Survivalist first and then added the Hunter soon after. Also just got me the Boot knife a few days ago and now I got my sights set on the Wasp 😊
Survivalist is a good blade....i just needed a little more chop for northern British Columbia,. 14 years ago i got a cold steel chinese plant sk5 trailmaster for 90$ and has been worked like a rented mule on my 10 acres up north
I would recommend wrapping the handle with 1in leather. That would make it more comfortable and take away any vibration. Plus better in cold weather. I also use hockey tape but that doesn't last as long. I believe leather would look great. Just a thought. Great video brother 👍
Awesome testing and i had a freind who got one of thos back before they got bought out and theyre real nice but from what ive seen you dont wanna pry with it at all that 52100 steel likes to snap
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge 52100 is just a more brittle steel its made for ball bearings so its really hard to not wear down but its got good edge retention
Cold Steel generally speaking makes great blades. Another great one Isaac!
This is a really nice affordable blade

For sure!
7:11 Why does the knife look so blue? It looks black on the Cold Steel website.
It's a bluish gray color. Definitely not black
Good video, and info

Snapping is no good. Maybe tempered too hard
