This knife is very unique in the features it combines. You get an unbreakable tang construction like the better survival knives, but also a true crossgaurd like a Bowie knife or a dagger, very comfortable where it meets the hand, suitable for the most aggressive thrusting and even parrying. You get a full flat grind with great cutting dynamics, yet still robust enough for chopping. You get a point of balance just above the grip, a fair amount of chopping heft without choking down, yet still very controllable in close quarters. You get an acute point and streamlined geometry suitable for stabbing as well as any combat knife, and also fine whittling. You get an overall length near the maximum of what a grown man can conceal and carry high on the hip. You get a lanyard hole to let you choke way down on the grip and get tremendous chopping power. You get all this for only 3 ounces more than a kabar knife. This has been my favorite survival knife for three years, I've carried it every day during this time, and I cannot think of another knife that is more perfect for the role of all purpose combat/survival. It can't be improved upon other than to just wrap the grip with a tennis grip wrap.

Cover the handle with some heat shrink tube and it will insulate the handle against the hot and cold temperatures.
In terms of design, this is my favorite survival knife I enjoy using the most.

    Hi there, scandinavian DBad 😊
    Great testing !
I also bought that knife - it is a real beast !
I can't imagine that are many things that one can't do with this knife !
(Yeah, maybe is not cooking dinner by itself and serve you a beer while waiting 😊)

The scales on the handle are G10 if I'm not mistaken ...

This one is my go to for hard use at this point. I edc typically the kabar mk1 navy knife but on days im going into rough areas or going into the woods this becomes my edc.

Very strong and capable blade, despite that stock thickness.
Impressive, as well as your tests.

Have more than one of these in my collection. Drop forged Hunter with wide 11 cm plus blade is also very good.
