May I ask for help: what do you guys prefer, about clip/drop vs tanto point? ie: what would make you choose one over the other? I still can’t decide whether it’s Recon 1 in tanto or spear/clip; for everyday use. Thank you.
Tanto is my least favorite. Drop Point is most practical. Clip point looks the coolest

I like this one. I ended up with a tanto instead of this one. I think it is called ground combat...or something like that. Its excellent with great handle scales. Just like this one
I really like the way it looks and symmetry, but it also appears tiny against his hand at first glance. I don't want anything too big, but also goes the same for small side as well, so not sure what to think just yet.
It's definitely not a big knife. 3 inch blade.
Thanks for the reply/ info. Again, on one hand, I don't think 3" would be terrible (and have a few 3" knives that are great). Any shorter, and they start looking like the CA legal mentality stuff. I think that closer to 4" is the size and length that feels all around comfortable. Thanks again. 👍

Own the stainless steel model 14 with a sawblade on back for over 30 years in new army and out is never let me down. It wasn’t cheap but how much is your life worth? You can depend on it with your life never let me down.

Does your knife have a chisel grind? I think I heard this about Emerson folders, just curious.
The majority of Emerson Knives have a chisel edge. The primary bevel is V ground on both sides of the blade, but the secondary bevel (edge) is only ground on one side of the blade creating a chisel edge. The CQC-7 is made with a true chisel grind where the blade and edge are just ground on one side.
