Hi Afzal, i don't know if you have covered this in a previous video but i was wondering what are the unis i should get into in the uk to make it to the trading floor. I was talking to some people in the industry and they said some decent unis just weren't considered at all when trying to apply.

What's your suggestion if someone major in law then move to finance for monetary term like you said for all of those, or he should stay in and make at corporate law or practicing law?
I think we need to an equation by 2-4% increase yearly for including inflation and 10-30% increase by every 10 years of living expense in order to calculate the basic living cost of the next 60 years.
It's not a perfect science. For example, expenses will continue to increase between 20 and 50, but after 50 or 60 years of age they're likely to start dropping (most people pay off their mortgages by then, etc.)
Have you perhaps seen people go into finance and whilst hoping for a financial gain, they did eventually become 'rich' (in monetary terms), but aren't truly 'living their life'?
Like you said there are those that are passionate about the work they do but I find that is not always the case with those pursuing finance as a career.

If you have £10 million in the s&p 500, 2% dividend, £200K per year. You can do £100K but if you live in London, want the best for your kids with a healthy buffer, £200K would good. But I may not think that if I get there.
Must take into account the time value of money too 😅…

Not really. You want a global rank one in top 30 like Oxbridge, LSE, Imperial, Edinburgh etc
It's not bad, but there are better options if you can get in like LSE, Oxbridge, etc.

Apparently in the UK it's around £180k
