I love how Sora's combat evolves with each game he's in. You can really see him from 1,RE:COM,2, DDD, and 3 creating and refining his own style over time. God KH has so much soul.
Which is why I hope that if they do a KH1 Remake, that they can somehow find a way to make it behave more smooth and like the future games while still keeping that sense of progression.

Chain of Memories came out late 2004 and KH1FM was released late 2002. So the abilities exclusive to the Final Mix version (Stun Impact, Sliding Dash) originated in KH1FM, not CoM.
Gravity Break is such a fire ass ability. I hope Roxas gets it in the future, since his combos while fighting with only one key seem to mimic Soras old moves.
Also during trinity limit sora does a locking motion with the keyblade, he spins on the hilt then pushed it down further, then twist it to "lock" the spell in I guess, but it's a cool detail with that limit and summons that sora does some form of a "key" motion with them all
You know there is something about the weight in which his attacks feel and the fact enemies are roughly his size or bigger that still makes me enjoy this combat in ways that o don’t get from the other games. Especially against other blade wielding enemies.
I did NOT know Gravity Break was even a thing! If there's anything i can guarantee from a Bio video, it's learning something new about my favourite franchise!
As a fun fact: the Gravity spell in KH1 looks incredibly similar to Final Xemnas's electric orbs in KH2, just a different color. Compare them side-by-side and you'll see.
@@BioRoxas Also on an unrelated note but I thought this was worth mentioning but Double form's Combo Finisher "Flash Charge" is Valor Form's "Sonic Strike" Combo finisher not Master Form's Fire spell in the air. Both Double and Valor and have the keyblade in the left hand slash outward before Sora thrusts forward and then, Sora spins the keyblade outward. Where as Master form aerial fire spell has Sora spinning the keyblade in his left hand all throughout. The position of the legs are different as well. Double and Valor have Sora's right leg bent forward and Master Form has the left leg bent forward. I didn't wanna say anything because I didn't wanna come off as rude or a know-it-all. I only just realized this while watching some other vid, but all the Limit Commands are all color coded, changing the color of the background while using them. Strike Raid - Purple Sonic Blade - Blue Ars Arcanum - Red Ragnarok - Green Trinity Limit - Black with a hint of Golden Yellow.
Great video =D One mention you could have made is that when you use Aero(-ra)(-ga) during the ice Titan fight, you will actually increase the size of Ice Titans Projectiles and it won't mitigate the damage, so it is actually not recommended to use it in that battle! Otherwise, great video =D
Playing KH3 while I watch this, realizing that the reprisal "counter slash” and KH1s counter attack look very similar, I think they are the same animation.
I didn't know that either until I saw it as one of Sora's Limit Form abilities in KH2FM. I know it wasn't planned but the way Sora holds his keyblade in a reverse grip kind of references Ventus for me :)

This might be an odd request but do you think you can do an analysis on Re: Coded? I feel like the combat is very underrated and it definitely has the best command deck game play. You can smoothly combo various commands together which makes the game play so much fun. Unlike in BBS or DDD where the commands have a ton of lag in-between them that there's no point in most of them.

I just thought this because of the cube data particles that shows up when you summoned it, and the name elemental encoder also remind me of how Yozora's friends were using elemental attacks that seems to be decoded with similar cube particles effect

I once grinded out a small bit on the island. Turns out, Sora can absolutely fucking preform Stun Impact with a wooden sword.

The graphic effects in KH1 were simple but beautiful... Actually looked like magic and had it’s own identity

Fun fact: if Soras keyblade hits a wall during strike raid he will bounce back and summon his keyblade to his hands before you can throw it again

Something interesting about Zantetsuken is that Sephiroth is not affected by it implying that its somehow a magic attack.
