Something that I didn't realize until watching it all over is that Final Form implements something from each form before while adding on top of it. It has the physical prowess of valor, magical prowess of wisdom, the aerial stylings of master, and the speed of anti form. In fact, Final seems to pull some moves straight from Anti, taking the feral power of it and reigning it in to be far more controlled, especially with the AoE dash finisher and the dive aerial finisher.
During the breakdown for master form, I’ve noticed that he’ll never actually hold the Keyblade in his left hand, he just levitates it constantly, even while swinging it. I realize that this is meant to show that the Keyblade in his left is for casting magic while the one in his right is meant for physical offense
Actually looking again, it’s even funnier that I noticed this because he won’t actually cast magic with the second Keyblade while he’s firing off spells lol
You forgot to mention how each form levels up: Valor - each hit equals 1 exp point Wisdom - take on the heartless Limit - final hit from each limit break equals 1 exp point Master - collect drive gauge restoration orbs (range of 1-3 exp points) Final - take on the nobodies Anti - doesn't level up.

One defining thing of this series will be the attention to detail when it comes to the animations, unlike a lot of games, the motions feel so fluid and almost natural that you don't realize the complexity of them and how unnatural they really are.
I’m actually working on a sora vrchat avatar and this video has been incredibly useful so I can make sure to get all the particles and effects on sora just right, thank you!!
I feel like I need to point out that the extra stats you mentioned in Valor Form are actually coming from the second keyblade you have equipped in that form. The same happens with Master and Final. And also why Wisdom and Limit don't raise stats at all. So Drive forms by themselves don't really boost your stats.

man this game just got the combat right. In 1, it feels like you hit too slow, and in 3 the hits are so wide and fast that without watching something like a breakdown (hmmm) it just feels like Sora is flailing. In 2, you hit enough times to combo like crazy but also still be aware of what you're doing.
I feel like something that was glossed over but still notable is that magic and standard attacks can be linked together in a combo. This means you can use either a magic or a physical finisher regardless of which you were using at the time. This is most notable with Wisdom Form because Shoot allows you to continue you combo at range without Combo Master, and Magic Spice boosts the magic finishers. Otherwise this of course applies to Base and Final form as well. For Master Form using magic doesn't increase the combo counter due to Endless Magic, but you can still chain freely between physical attacks. Also my memory seems to be off but I think Master form is the only one where you can chain magic in the air? I might need to go test that again later. Edit: Wisdom form uses base form's aerial magic so it doesn't chain. Aerial magic in Final Form oddly follows the Master form's rules on Endless Magic while in the air.
Looking back at this I’m reminded that anti form actually has a percentage to get it it was so common for me that when I fought data Vexen I didn’t realize that it was being taken from me
I feel almost confident that fighting bosses add to the Anti form counter. I remember in Beast's Castle when I activated it, and the next time I tried to use a form was against Xaldin less than 10 minutes later, only to get Anti-Sora again.
A small note regarding the Master Form, the animation isn't bugged out. When starting to spin the Keyblade, he rotates his hand to be a bit similar to how Wisdom Form does it. This happens so fast, you'd think that the Keyblade goes through his arm. It's not as fast as Marth's grab in Melee tho lol.
the wisdom form flame orbs are simple the next level version of magic, they dont exist in lower level spells. so the flame orbs are firaJA rather than firaGA

17:30 Ars Arcanum is still the weirdest Move in Soras Toolkit. Simply because only the "The End" Part actually adds to the revenge counter of Bosses, meaning that you can actually kinda loop it, if you have infinite MP (Or are good at using ethers) and only use the "Bash" part, skipping the "The End" Part. Probably an oversight that this is an option, but man does it make it powerful

The chain was broken, after all, not erased. And then Sora's darkness came back, overtaking his body completely and sending his keyblade fleeing and generally being his most powerful form change in 2 if you enable boss defeats with antiform. And then in 3, it's back and even more powerful and now the keyblade is either willingly working with it or is being forcibly dominated by it so it can whap the crap out some baddies. Can we talk about how Sora's Heartless was never properly reintegrated with Sora and Roxas, and is just constantly present, ready to break out when given the chance throughout 2? Sora's Heartless and Roxas were never destroyed. They didn't come back together like is proper and natural. I don't think Riku and DiZ even noticed what was actually going on. Can we talk about how it and Sora seem to have come to some sort of understanding by 3, since Sora and his darkness are so perfectly in sync he has access to rage mode from nearly the word go and his heartless can just handle his keyblade now? What happened to his heartless in DDD, another dark game full of villians darkening Sora's heart? Did the possession of Xehanort force an internal reckoning between Sora and his darkness? Or did the darkness just learn better control from Xehanort, allowing it to use Sora's keyblade? Can we talk about how the only character to ever directly address Sora's wild and untamed beastial darkness mode is Xehanort, and only by stealing Sora's light in a boss fight? Why doesn't Riku, the one perpetually walking the path to dawn, ever address Sora about this? "Hey, Sora, I noticed while we were busting down Xemnas's front door, you turned into a Heartless a few times." "Hey, Sora, while we were trying to save Aqua, you turned into a Heartless a few times, what's up with that?" I guess at least the ground finisher of the Valor form where you shoot light attacks before you could be magic based and so it would make sense that the magic stat goes up even if you can't cast magic in this form. Since your recording in the video showed the cave of remembering it could be that your stats were to low for this region.
I noticed you never mention how to boost the drive forms. Was it one of those things you felt wasn't needed because the game has been around for a long time?
I tried the Switch version and the controls are hard to master. Both movement and camera controls feel so oversensitive and no way to change sensitivity. Does the Kingdom Hearts series control better on PS4? I'd try it myself but PS4 has no demo versions to try.

Sora is raw as hell
Sora is so cool
do you think sora has rage and anti form becuase he was a shadow heartless that was given a new body by kairi princess of light magic?
Are you going to make a video for the base combat for kh1,2 and 3 Sora?
Hey, it's me again. Can you tell me the sauce to your pfp again?
@@hamzahargrave2410 oh yeah the guy is called shadow lifeman
I noticed you never mention how to boost the drive forms. Was it one of those things you felt wasn't needed because the game has been around for a long time?
Does this thumbnail insinuate that final form is his light form and antiform is dark?
Aw I'm sad you didn't mention technical things like fire in certain forms or ars Arcanum not adding revenge value to bosses
you think you can do character breakdowns on the wayfinder trio?
why coulndt they just put this in kh3 man...
I hope drive forms return in KH4 i prefer them to keyblade form changes
How is this game already nearly 20 years old. Help
Awesome!
Great video. What will be your next Complete Breakdom Collection Video?
I tried the Switch version and the controls are hard to master. Both movement and camera controls feel so oversensitive and no way to change sensitivity. Does the Kingdom Hearts series control better on PS4? I'd try it myself but PS4 has no demo versions to try.
Yeah I would say it probably controls better on ps4
Anti-form is pretty terrible in KH 2, but he'd be a nightmare in Tekken.
What are Anti points and how do you get them?
