    I have a ‘19 model T-Boss 550, since new, sometimes when the key is turned, it may turn a 1/4 turn, key back off, it fires right up, I put a new battery in March, same thing but never hurt anything, it always started so no big deal….until tonight! It started really hard but it started, cruising around my neighborhood, I noticed it was steering funny as if it was in 4x4 or the rear axle was locked together & I had no power to the “dashboard (speedometer etc)
    I do have a click when I turn the key & my LED light bars shine like they always did, if this whole time, it’s been a simple solenoid, I owe you big time. Thanks for the idea

      @@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 it ended up that I had 2 problems: 1.) the solenoid was the culprit for my 1/4 turn starts ($8.50 on Amazon) after replacement I still had a no start, no dashboard condition. I started pulling fuses, the 15 amp turn signal fuse was blown. I replaced it & everything is great…my point is: if you own 1 of these machines, stock up on solenoids & fuses…they’re cheap but I could see this causing someone a lot of grief & money to repair

    Hey man love the content here! Really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. Gpt an MSU 500 and initially it would start and run about 5 minutes. Then crank no start. Wait a day or two might start might not. Someone at some point buried the thing in mud. So to start working on it I removed the battery and washed it down pretty good. Now for the second issue. Battery reinstalled after about a month (good charge). Now no power anywhere. Checked main fuse and it's good. I mean nothing comes on. Lights, fuel pump, horn, nothing. Any idea why it would not let voltage get to any of the electronics? Thanks again for your content!

      It's a possibility that the key switch is bad, are it could be the relay box are even the ecu since it was sunk. I would check all those connector & make sure the ecu pins are not corroded. I've seen that before.

    I have a massimo 700 that will drain the battery overnight randomly. Sometimes it will happen once a month and sometimes it'll happen after a couple of months. The wiring harness is one of the biggest issues on these machines. I would start by going through all your connectors & making sure they aren't corroded & put dielectric grease on them all. I have also installed a battery cut off switch on some utvs & with the flip of the switch it cuts all power from the battery to any part of the unit. You will have to go a Voltage draw test & start pulling fuses & possibly connectors to see when the voltage draw stops & what ever is running off that part of the harness will be the issue. That could be multiple things tho. I would start with the 9 pin white connectors first.

    Great video! You seem very knowledgeable on these units. I have a question for you. I have a 2012 Qlink 500 Hisun engine. I have less than 75 miles on the vehicle. My question is what causes hard starts? I thought it was the battery not having enough power, but I replaced the battery 2 times with no changes. It does crank, but hesitates and finally turns over. In your opinion, could it be the starter or adjusting the valves or something else?

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would definitely check the valve clearances. If you haven't done so yet I would up the CCA on you battery also. Anthony thing it could be is that the onway bear, wet clutch ect in also moving when trying to start the unit up. That will add an extra load to the small batteries these things use. You can also up the gauge of wire for the positive & negative cables.

      @@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 I actually upgraded my battery a few years ago to a deep cycle marine battery. I mounted the battery in the dump bed and extended the battery cables from the battery box up front to the back battery in the bed. Lights everything else come on. Just wont crank with turn of key. Already swapped solenoid out no spark jumping across. I think doing testing my black wire from battery to motor spot next to battery is shot. It also jumps from solenoid to starter at same battery terminal. When ohming out all connected it has a terrible read at terminal to starter part of cable. No read from short two piece to area next to battery and beeps. No beep from solenoid to starter.

      Make sure that your battery has at least 12volts. When you try to start it check to see how many volts you drop when you try to crank it over. You should only drop 1v maybe 1.5volts. But it's a really good possibility you have a bad starter. Take the spark plug out, jump the solenoid & see if it cranks over. If is doesn't still I would pull the butter CVT cover off & male sure the motor turns over by hand. Jist incase it locked up for some reason.

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh man there is so much stuff to look out for on these things. Make sure is starts right up & holds a good steady idle. Make sure you can smoothly shift into all gears while you are setting at an idle. You should have to put your foot on the brake to shift to reverse. Make sure there isn't any kicking & bucking on take off in HI gear. Make sure that the diff lock works & the 4x4 work by actual driving it & trying them. Make sure when you do test drive it that it doesn't just fall flat on its face around 15 to 20mph. That would indicate wore off cam lobes. Just look over it very very well.

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is so much to look out for when you're checking out one of these units. You want to make sure that it starts right up and idle smoothly. You want to make sure you can shift in and out of every gear while sitting at an idol smoothly. You want to make sure there is no kicking and bucking when taking off in high gear. Make sure that the locking differential button and the 4x4 button actually work while test driving it. Make sure when test driving it that it goes above 15 and 20 miles an hour without falling flat does not accelerate. It is probably a wore out cam lobe. The five hundreds are notorious for stretching the timing chains and breaking the timing chain tensioners and also wearing off the cam lobes. Also, make sure there is no grinding or popping the sound when letting off the gas and letting it deaccelerate until it stops.. There is a ton of stuff to look out for just be smart and look over everything.

    I'm wondering if you cold make a recommendation. I have a 2021 Coleman UTV 400 with only 15 hours on it. It was starting fine until a few weeks ago, then I would have to repeatedly have try and start it about 4 times or so before it would actually start, at which time it would run really rough until it warmed up, then it would start without any problems and run just fine.
    Someone told me I may have bad gas, another said they had the same problem and adjusting the valve lash resolved their issue, but I was thinking possible a choke problem.
    I did replace the plug, which had a bit of black soot on it. But two hours of running the UTV later, I rechecked the plug and it had soot on it again, but not as bad.
    I did purchase it only a few months ago, so it had been basically sitting, for the most part, at the store for around 18 months, so the gas wasn't the greatest, but starting it had never been a problem until now. I poured in some seafoam, which someone recommended and filled the tank with fresh gas and have been letting it run just to use all the gas in the tank, but the starting problem has gotten worse.
    Any input on what it could be or what I can check would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

      I would definitely try to do a ecu reset then Maybe check the valve clearances. It could be a bad IAC motor also. Also the O2 sensor could be going bad also. But I would start with the ecu reset them gp drive it around at all different speeds & throttle positions & see if the ecu relearns the parameters. With the unit just being started up at the store & never really drop around the ecu could of got way out of wack on the fueling since it was never really warmed up & driven around before you bought it.

    Mine will not crank up unless I hold the gas pedal down but will not idle. Does anyone have any suggestions?

      A few things to try & check. Have you done an ecu reset? If so I would check you intake track & throttle body if it is a EFI unit. Take the IAC motor offthe throttle body & clean it & spray out the passage for the IAC motor. Check for ait leaks on the intake. Also check vavle clearances, you should do a leak down test to check the health of the motor. If it's a 500 you should check cam timing & see if the cam lobs are wore off. Also I'd the fuel pump priming? Also check to see if you have at least 38-42 psi & that it hold pressure for at least 5mins after turning the key off. Also could have an issue with the TPS sensor.

      So you're getting power across the solenoid when you turn key to start? You can have a solenoid that clicks but that doesn't mean it's any good. Did you try jumping it to see if it would turn over? I have changed a fee starters but most of the time it was the solenoid. You can also check to see if you're getting power to the starter when you're trying to start you unit up.

    My 2011 Massimo Rebel 400 wont pump any fuel I put a brand new fuel pump on a brand new carburetor I still get nothing runs on starting fluid

      Hey Malcolm. Sounds like you may not be getting any power to your fuel pump. I would definitely check it for power at the plug on the fuel pump. It could be a bad relaybox are just the fuse in the relay box. possibly the ignition could be corroded. I would Stat with those things first.

      So when you say the same thing do you mean still not cranking over? When you turn the ignition on does your fuel pump & everything else come on?

    • @leroygarza4316

      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394 yes it won't crank but fuel pump comes on I have already replaced the starter also

      If you jump the starter solenoid does the motor crank over? I have bought new starter solenoids that were bad. It may be the ignition are you could have a break in the wires that go from the ignition to the starter solenoid. I would test then for continuity.

      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394 jumping the solenoid the engine won't start it was starting good and the next day went to start it up again and it wouldn't turn over it was doing some clicking noise yesterday and then went back to doing the same thing turn the key and made no noise

      Hey M C. What year & make & model is yours? I have a 2015 Msu 700 motor sitting right next to me & there isn't a oil pressure sensor on this motor. It has a Gear position sensor & a reverse sensor that is all.

    Cyle do you have a phone number or a email address where we can contact you I'm trying to see if you have any videos on how to replace the brake on a Massimo 500 I have adjusted the emergency brake the way they say to do it but will not hold can not find anyone near near to work on a Massimo thanks for any help you can provide

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394

      Hey Carl thanks for the comment and checking out the channel. I do not have any videos on how to adjust the emergency brake on that. It is a very common problem on those for them not to work very well at all. there's multiple spots to adjust it. I believe there's a spot on the brake caliper itself. I also believe there is an adjustment in the line. And one up at the handbrake. but you can email me at limitlesspowersports78@gmail.com
