2022 Update: Hey guys, I just RE-reviewed the Iron Neck. I mention it here because I've gone over 4 months without a migraine since I started using it consistently. I'm not saying go out and by one necessarily, but if you haven't explored full ROM, high rep, low intensity neck exercises for migraine prevention (the Iron Neck is just a good tool for the job...a $200+ tool), I really think you should. Here's the video: th-cam.com/video/nylonQNk7OI/w-d-xo.html Thanks!
Np. By the way I have a personal issue when I was flat benching 200lbs, I was pressing my head way to hard against the soft part of the bench. Now when I any weight on bench in that position it triggers my migraine.
Man I feel You... Every good workout for me ends with migraine...it drives me crazy, I envy every person who can put maximum effort in to training and go home without vomiting and massive headache. Thanks for advice. One thing that helps me as well is sleep discipline. Go to bed at the same time, don't use your phone before bed, wake up at the same time, don't oversleep. Thanks again!!
I hear ya, bud. Mine have been less and less frequent...however, my pre and post workout routines have gotten longer and longer (small price to pay for headgin my bets against migraines though). Excellent tip on sleep...probably the most underrated facet not only to migraine prevention, but physique, performance, and general well-being as well
It’s absolutely reassuring to know that you’re not alone in this...the Aura part is the scariest to me. Thanks for uploading this video, will definitely try these tips
1) Stay hydrated. Drink 2-3 liters of water before your workout 2) Eat before and after your workouts 3) Relax after you workout. Use breathing exercises for that (e.g. box breathing)
Maybe a tip some people want to try. My neurologist said to take 600 mg of ibuprofen 45 minutes before a workout so I don’t allow the blood vessels to become inflamed. This has helped completely! I hate to have to take that much, but I make sure to drink plenty of water daily. I’m still in the journey to find a natural cure, e.i., magnesium, 5-HTP. But for now, this has completely helped! My migraines were not slight. I’d end up in the ER every time, couldn’t see, and would be vomiting for 9 hours straight. I rather give birth. And I’ve given birth. Hope this helps!! Thank you for this video too! I feel so alone in this sometimes. 😭
I’ve heard about this but the issue is excessive use of ibuprofen thins the lining of your stomach which allows for other health issues like autoimmune diseases. The amount and intensity that I use to like working out at, i would require it daily very often. I no longer work out due to migraines. I want to start again slowly and see though but it’s difficult to strike up the courage
I’ve been getting migraines since I was a child, I’m now 38. For the last few months I have been getting them at least weekly and often after a mountain bike ride. I have upped my water intake with no difference. My neurologist recommends taking mag oxide 500mg and B2 400mg daily. I’ve been taking a nuun hydration tab prior to the exercise and a salt tab or two during the workout and those seem to be helping to prevent the migraine from starting. It’s very frustrating and can be very deflating mentally. Working on trying to figure out definite triggers now. Good luck everyone.
You're not alone, that's for sure. I used to get them since I was 14 or so (32 now)... usually any time I was doing physically exhausting sports which also dehydrated me. Similar to your biking adventures, I used to get one 100% after going snowboarding.. just sweating so much under all that equipment after a full-day of boarding, and also the altitude changes seemed to be a factor as well. Now I still get them every once in a while like Rob mentioned when doing exceptionally taxing workouts, mainly leg days (like my snowboarding times)... so heavy squats, leg-press, etc. I still wonder how much of it really is hydration, altitude-changes, not breathing enough, not enough calories, or simply blood-pressure changes due to heavy exercise especially involving the legs as a ton of blood gets moved doing leg exercises.
Look into this book. No Grain No Pain, it helped me get my life back from experiencing headaches, migraines and muscle tention. I'm not 100% better but probably 75%.
Good to read this as I am trying to cut out coffee as well, *although of course it seems to help when a migraine hits at 4am. I usually just take a triptan, use a scalding hot pack and Cefaly, and drink a cup of strong coffee while trying to deep breathe. NOT a great routine. Trying Iron and VitD (and C to help Iron absorption) at night, so I can't mess up the effect with foods. Hope it's still working for you, and thanks for posting!
Hey guys y'all prolly don't care , but I get terrible tension headaches from working out. Best advice I can give, control your breath and take deep breaths when working out every rep slow. These headaches are caused by improper form and or breathing technique, because your tensing a muscle that feathers from your neck out to your back, and if you activate that instead of the targeted muscle, tension headaches will occur. So really relax your neck and focus on using your chest tricep bicep etc. best technique I have found that can help you focus on the specific muscle, is to imagine that the breaths your taking is powering your lifts and make sure to loosen your neck and relax the shoulders.
Wow this is amazing! I recently upped the intensity in my workout leading to more migraines. I debated lowering intensity but with these tips I can avoid/treat my migraines! A few tips of mine: Avoid sugar and alcohol, get enough sleep, don't dramatically alter the amount of caffeine you consume (don't go from four cups a day to 0, don't go from 0 to four etc)
One thing that has changed my life with regards to migraines/headaches, is going to a chiropractor. A good chiropractor that gives you good cervical adjustments will make a huge difference. I used to suffer from migraines on a weekly basis. Now they’re very rare. Also get physical therapy/massage therapy on the back and neck.
Going to see a chiropractor has been on my mind heavily due to aura migraines! You’re the first person I’ve seen share this idea. I’m calling a chiropractor Monday morning!!!
@@GoodVibes24833 Very good idea, you will find relief. Especially if he is a good cervical adjuster, some chiropractors are very superficial and light adjusters. You need a real professional who isn’t afraid of adjusting that neck. Hope you feel better
Wow! Thank you so much for being specific about aura migraines. This happens so many times after training and I’ve been dying to know what it really was. I’m glad you brought up eating because I noticed that it would usually happen if I didn’t eat before my workout. Definitely gonna remember this!
Oh God, finally found this video. Recently started getting the headache and dizziness, it was just visual aura earlier. Will start practicing your 3 tips my friends. Thank you!
It get the same thing while playing basketball it sucks so bad .For me it's not even the pain (although it hurts like crazy) its the visual aura wile playing that shit just fucks up my confidence and my game goes to shit
Dude this is the only video that I can really relate to on this issue.. for years I thought it was the food I was eating..the lights… but no it’s actually working out! I notice every time I start working out regularly I develop these ocular migraines
Hope it helps you out, Mike! For what it's worth, my migraine frequency dropped dramatically when I started working my neck on a regular basis (I use the iron neck primarily, and they don't pay me to say that 😀)
I've got exactly the same issue, when I work out within 30 minutes I get an ocular migraine. Very frustrating because I'm almost afraid to do workouts.
It’s good to finally get validation. I’ve spoken with many personal trainers , exercise experts, coaches and doctors. The doctors recommended that to take the meds, sumatriptan with naproxen as early as possible when I know the migraine is coming. I get the aura as well and it’s the scariest feeling because I know I will be suffering thru a lot of pain that will start in 30 min. I will try these tips. Thanks for posting!
Super awesome that I’m not the only guy who goes home and gets down about having to fight a migraine. You’re video was fantastic simply because I know I’m not alone. Can’t help that we like to workout intense!!!!
Yeh, I hate them... Still get them, though far less frequent... Maybe once every month and a half... Sucks I can't go hard during a workout without worrying about it, but...oh well!
Just got home from the gym. currently working through the visual part of the migraine. I do think it is largely dehydration for me. Will work on it. Thanks for the tips.
Yesterday was the first day in my life I took my exercises to failure, oh I was so proud of myself! Results: woke up today with that migrane aura. Chugged 1,5L of water but couldn't eat anything untill afternoon - plus, had to take some ibuprofen for the pain was unbearable and right now I still feel some weakness. Today I couldn't work nor study properly :(. Thank you for the tips!
I have been getting migraines for years but since practising yoga it has become more frequent and have only just figured out the why. Do yoga Nedra now and no more downward did or any shape affecting my neck, jaw area. Thank you for the tips…great to know it’s not just me.🙏🍁☘️
I've been dedicated to my life to getting fit lately but unfortunately these migraines really hold me back. Haven't been able to workout in almost a week because of an exercise induced migraine that hasn't gone away.
Terrific suggestions, Rob. I've been experiencing exercise-induced migraines with greater frequency myself lately, so am anxious to put at least some of these tips into practice. I have a little trouble with the eat-before-exercise idea, frankly; exercising with undigested food in my stomach usually doesn't work too well for me. But the rest of the ideas do sound promising!
Sorry to hear about the migraines, but glad to hear you're going to work toward prevention! I understand the issue with food--that's actually a fairly common "problem". You've made the first step successfully, which is listen to your body. Stay hydrated and work those post exercise breathing techniques. Let me know how it goes! Thanks!
Thanks Rob for your response. Over the course of the prior week, I've upped my water intake before and during workouts, and also endeavored to eat a little - something less than 200 calories, with some protein - before exercise. It's working great! It's nice to just have a bit of normal muscle soreness the next day in place of disabling migraine pain.
Awesome! I hope it keeps up for you. Speaking of pre-workout protein, one of the things I forgot to mention in the video is that I also take some essential amino acid supplements before particularly tough workouts (I take Optimum Nutrition 2222s, but there are a lot of good brands out there); not just for migraine prevention, but there are some great performance and hypertrophy (or atleast catabolism prevention) improvements as well. Thanks again for the feedback!
I get these exact migraines. Thanks for tips. One thing that prevents them is waiting 2:30 in between sets for upper body and when I do legs waiting 4:00 in between sets. I think it has something to do with taking oxygen away from brain so waiting this time allows certain amount of oxygenated blood volume to remain in brain. But when I have a killer workout I usually break from this a little and that’s when I get them … like today 🤦🏽♂️
I get this exact aura migraine when lifting or at Judo. The advice here is sound. Although I would add one more trick, lots and LOTS of stretching especially if your neck and shoulder muscles are heavily involved in your workout. I find Muscle tension in the neck aggravates migraine response.
Exactly what happened with me today!! For the very first time in my life!! I am 34, in athletics since I was 9 and have done all kinds of yoga, soccer, cricket, judo, parkour and weightlifting and never experienced this. Today I was doing a heavy squat where I was engaging my neck a lot by looking straight up to the ceiling when pushing up; a Chinese olympian technique I saw, and in the 2nd set I had this crazy migraine and started feeling nauseous and dizzy. Thank you for your comment!
Great vid. I find the time of day I exercise is key too. If exercise hard in the evening 7pm or later i am very vulnerable to an attack. Neck and shoulder stretches plus a massage gun on them helps as does ibuprofen one before activity.
Water, water, water, salt, lay down with feet high... I have POTS and multiple heart arrhythmias and I get visual migraines about once every 3 workouts. It sucks but it can be manageable.
Thank you so much for this video. Of course I'm not happy that you suffer from migraine and I wish that you have the least amount of migraines as possible. But it's very nice to hear the experiences of others and especially very sporty people like you. I am literally scared of sport because I get so bad migraines afterwards. Thanks for the tips :)
I wanna get fit but it's so discouraging because every time I work out I get a migraine even if the work out itself is not very intense. I have bad allergies that contribute as well, so I get them anyway around three times a week. I will try these strategies to see if they make a difference for me! I think I will buy a very large water bottle. :)
I used to be very active and would run/workout vigorously sometimes 6 to 8 miles then do some body workouts for muscle. Went from 295 to 225 in a few months felt great but then the infamous aura migrane kicked in and I just gave up. "First time it happened I was throwing bags of concrete at work when I was 21". Scared me sideways. I am now up to 310lbs and you've inspired me to be a fit monster again. Screw these migraines I want my drive back! Thanks buddy for the video. Now time to hit some steel :)
Haha--I bet that steel feels hot when it comes out. I hope those tips help you. Again, they are just things that work for me--unfortunately it's all about trial and error, but you'll nail it eventually. Thanks for watching Mike! Best of luck!
I can relate..I stopped with all my exercises because of the aura ,wanted to join the gym again but not sure what exercises I need to do to prevent the aura but thanks to the video upload I for sure will sign up at the gym again.
Really appreciate the support man. I'd just like to ask two more questions. Do you still get migraines and if so how regularly do you get them? And have you lowered the intensity of your workouts because of the migraines and if you have are you still gaining?
I do still get them, though much much less frequent. I get one every two months or so. ..used to be almost weekly. I do workout intensely, but I'll admit I still get nervous afterward that I'll get a migraine (just finished tabata burpees. ..). I plan on wearing sunglasses all day, as sunlight glare seems to be a trigger ;)
@@ThreeStormFitness have the same problem... personaly I think that our problem is much more complex than few triggers: bright lights, hard training, sugar drops etc... I am 29y old, and the only periods (even 2years in a row) without migraine were ones with minimum/average activity, far away from serious fatigue. My last 'theory' is that it migth be connected to the spine/neck pressure, but no one really knows :(
@@ThreeStormFitness can I go for gym for excercise... I have been suffering from migrain since 9th class now I m 25 year old so plz tell me can I go to gym for excercise ?
I'm off 1 month since my last workout...reason is migraine....i have had migraines earlier as well...one thing i noticed was migraines used to disappear when i resumed work out but then after few weeks of steady work out migraines used to reappear...now i feel like quiting for a while since I have to sit for 8 hours in front of screen....so once human immune system that can counter headaches gets weak..probably anything can trigger migraines...computer mobile screens..sinus allergy, wearing helmets etc...not just work outs...my focus right now is to get to normal life before i feel lifting again...hope this will pass tooo!!!
+arun kumar man, buddy, that's terrible. Yeh, so many potential triggers...I'm not even sure I've figured my own out. You might want to look into lower intensity methods of resistance training like "greasing the groove" just to maintain baseline strength levels. For instance put a pull up bar in your bathroom doorway and do 1-3 pull ups every time you walk in...the point is, you don't do enough to exhaust yourself (and hopefully avoid a migraine), but you'll still accumulate a lots of volume throughout the day. Hang in there!
Hello. We have same problem.. I feel like I want to resign... Simple high intensity exercises will trigger migraines and I also had eye pain... I have this for 6 months now and looking at computer screens will also trigger migraines.. I will try the advice from this video. Im thinking also that it is also because of too much supplements and wrong diet
@@janjamesramos247 hey, stop high intense exercises completely. Do more breathing, stretching and cardio that builds your stamina rather than those that create tension. Even there do not strain too much. Most important is getting good sleep and correcting your sleep posture. Always sleep in correct posture to avoid headache while sleeping. Following these...i have no more headaches
@@arunkumaracharya9641 thank you for the advice.. Yes.. Now Im doing just simple exercises... No more push ups and burpees 🙁.. It's a bit frustrating... But even if I stop exercising, looking at computer screen sometimes cause headache the next morning.. also I often wake up with heavy eyelids and feeling so sleepy (i dont know the reason for this, even doctors can't comprehend).. This makes me go to work late... I hope I'll be better!! 👍
That's a great video, will be implementing these to test. I've been having aura migraines several times a week and even double time in one day, which is even more scary is that I haven't had it for years and it was a rare thing to occur with me, everything changed the day I have to move from another house/city and had a day of intense physical effort, at the same time, the weather I've been exposured everyday changed to very hot on a daily basis since I'm on a new environment, I believe these two factors changed something in my body, since that day I'm having these almost everyday. It stopped a little bit after I avoided sun exposion for some days, but it came back after I started going to the gym, now they are back and I'm deciding what to do since the intense exercises are appearing to be my trigger, strange thing is that it doesn't come by immediately, it's always on the day after on a random moment of the afternoon, and the sunlight exposure is a worsening factor, I'll try to increase my daily basis water
Hi, Rob! Thank you for your video. It´s not easy to find people with the same migrain issue. I have exercise induced migraines after high intensity exercises (I practice running). I used to eat right after the exercise too. I think this work for me either, and I also heard about keep the body hydrated. I´ve been trying to reduce high sugar food and coffea before and after the workouts also. I noticed this help to prevent the migrains. Here some foods I noticed to induce the migrain to me: sugar, peanuts, coffea, chocolate, high sugar concentration´s fruits, isotonics, coke and soda in general and alcoholic beverages (Lol!). But sometimes even eating right and drinking a lot of water don´t prevent the migrains to me. I will try the exercise you suggest but it seems to me the idea of prevent migrain is to avoid the blood pressure in the head. And this position could do the opposite, doesn´t it? As I´m training to long distance races my problem is what to eat during the workouts. I´ve eating carbohydrated gels on half marathons. But now i will try to eat potatoes, chicken and other solid foods because I will do trail runnings and marathons. Let´s see what happens! Best Regards!
+Ramon Scheidemantel thanks for the feedback, Ramon! Sooooo many possible migraine triggers...very frustrating. I made the videos based on my triggers and resolutions over the years. They may or may not work for you, however, dehydration is one of the most common triggers, and staying hydrated during exercise is recommended anyway. Concerning the inverted position with the breathing routine, it does increase blood pressure, but only slightly (nothing like standing on your head). What I'm after here is getting out of a sympathetic state, which I understand is also linked to migraines. Oddly enough, the mild rise in blood pressure, couple with the breathing is what helps activate the parasympathetic system. Here's a good article on the benefits of inversion from Jill Miller (where I stole the technique): www.yogatuneup.com/blog/2010/06/04/inversion-yoga-therapy/ Thanks dude!
I get them bad as well and throw up as well seem like the only thing that stops them is drinking ridiculous amounts of water during workout to the point where I am pissing for the rest of the day every 5 min
+Ronnie Kray yeh dude, peeing every 5 min sucks. Right there with you. I'll take it any day to avoid a migraine though. I don't know what I'd do if I was working highway patrol, or another job where I was trapped in my car all day...probably have a few piss jugs in the backseat ;)
One this I always do is soak my head in freezing water. It helps a good amount of the time. If it does happen tho I just take a sleeping pill and have a nap. Once I wake up the edge is taken off it’s not as painful.
I'm no doc, but that sounds more like an exertion headache (i.e., "weightlifter headache"), which is also awful. I used to get those all the time while benching, and still do occasionally when squatting. From a little self experimentation, it seems to be an issue of misplaced tension. The tighter I get my core, glutes and lats, the less likely I seem to get that sharp sudden pain (that gets exponentially worse when you push the set). I talk about it here in another video: th-cam.com/video/AKTCLrn850o/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps. Let me know if you find out anything new. Thanks!
I find myself here after really pushing myself yesterday evening. Opened my eyes this morning to what felt like a hangover 🤒 I have places to be today and this is not good lol
Hey. Great video! I'm a sufferer and some of these tips really helped me. Thank you! I wanted to quickly share my experience in the hope it helps others. I'm not a doctor and this isn't advice really but I think I've possibly discovered a way of curing my own exertion headaches. How? By exerting myself more, more often. Previously, I did cardio like jogging or surfing a couple of times a week and I would often finish a session with a terrible exertion headache with all the symptoms you describe. However, for the last 5 weeks, I've been, like most people, in COVD-19 lockdown and have taken up high-intensity interval training at home almost every day. No weights, just cardio-style exercises like sprints, burpees etc. I had headaches after the first two sessions but since then not once. Too early to make any firm conclusions but I think it's possible that training at higher exertion levels more often could be a way to get your body used to that level of exertion and avoid the headaches. It seems to be working for me.
That almost makes too much sense Seriously, I think that's fantastic. My only concern is that I'm a huge wuss and am hesitant to try. Every time I grab a pair of battleropes or bang out a high rep squat set, I think, "am I going to regret that in an hour?". Nevertheless, awesome idea. I hope it's still working for you. Side note: one think I've noticed sense training early in the morning for the past 3 months is that I haven't gotten a single migraine. I'm wondering if it's because I suck down ~300mg of hot caffeine before I go in the gym (vs training in the afternoons, when I'm done drinking coffee for the day). If I continue to have luck with this, I'll probably make a new vid. Thanks Serge!
@@ThreeStormFitness still working pretty much BUT got a completely out of the blue migraine after a gentle walk!! Definitely make more videos. They're really fantastic resource for sufferers of this kind of headache.
UPDATE! I I've seen a huge reduction in migraines by giving up coffee. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done but I went completely cold turkey for about three months and have since been drinking small amounts of tea instead (3 cups max). Definitely worth trying and plenty of evidence to support that approach. I've also given up all pain killers (ibuprofen and paracetamol/acetaminophen) which I think has also helped. Instead, when I notice the onset of a migraine or an exercise headache, I follow a pilates session on TH-cam (I'm sure Yoga or other stretching would be as good). You don't feel like doing it at all but I've found this often gets rid of it completely after a 25 - 30 minute session. Finally, has anyone with this kind of migraine every noticed that they are less frequent if you exercise in the afternoon? I think I have noticed this pattern.
I just had a migraine earlier today after a hard run. I'm coming back to running and my body takes time to adapt to the stress i put it under. Once my fitness improves the migraines go away. Until then I have to suffer them. My other trigger is caffeine which i have cut out of my diet.
Thank you for the video it’s reassuring to know I’m not alone in this. I’ve had them since my early 20’s but lately they’ve become much more frequent, it could be my age I don’t know 🤷♀️ I have triptans which are truly a miracle medication for me but I can’t do anything in terms of exercise for 3-5 days when I’ve had a migraine. I drink lots of water already but will up it and try the breathing exercises too, I get them more so when I’ve been running which is my therapy and I hate that they are stopping me running and working out! Any more tips I’m listening 👂 thanks 🙏 😊
Here we go again. It's painful enough trying to get fit. Can't even finish a good workout without my eyes getting all static like. Although I did drink coffee today maybe that's one of my triggers. I wish I knew the exact cause I love exercising.
Sorry to hear that. Huge frustration...at least misery loves company I suppose. Triggers are so personal... Pretty sure caffeine helps me, but like you said, I'm pretty sure it screwed others. It's a painful process, but everyone has to figure it out. Good luck my friend
I really hope this tips help me, i love exercising, but i stoped because i fear these migraines, I'll begin to train Muay Thai, so i'm really really hoping this will help me.
Awesome video! I have a pretty big lawn and it takes a couple of hours to mow with a push mower. I usually do it in two days because if I do it in one day I end up with a migraine. A few weeks ago I drank a ton of water and was forced to try to do it in one day because of my schedule and the weather. I was surprised that I had no migraine at the end of the day. Your video has convinced me to drink more water! Also, though I hate taking the meds, sometimes it is a must. Instead of taking Sumatriptan aka Imitrex, my neurologist recommended Maxalt aka Rizatriptan. It is basically the same med you take but it dissolves on the tongue rather than in the stomach, so it works much faster! Everyone is different so results very, but it is a godsend for me. Thanks again for your video. I will also try the breathing to calm the nerves.
It's funny that the triptans are all a little different. Maxalt doesn't usually cut it for me, but Zomig will. Pretty sure all of them have the melting tablet option, as that is what I take as well. They're amazing! I do have Sumatriptan injections if I was too late with the tablet. That knocks me right out though. I can actually go workout or ride a couple hours after the Zomig has worked! Good to know we're all getting by, regardless of this affliction. :)
Hi, thanks for this. It’s a real pain in the...head :) What kind of medicine are you using? Are they really working. I never managed to stop it after the aura starts. It’s one day off all the time after the aura. Pain, vomiting, headpain, stomach pain, drowsiness, etc.
Yeh, it sucks. I used to take imitrex, but I found that 2 Excedrin migraine and 2 extra strength Aleve works just as well for me. I carry that dose with me wherever I go. The second I get even a flash of the Aura, I take it and put my sunglasses on (even at night... Like Cory heart), and lay down if possible. I always end up getting the migraine, but the quicker I get that routine in, the far less intense it is. Hope that helps dude
Hey there, just had to add, in case the OTC stuff doesn't work. I use triptans ~ Zomig is the one that works best for me, but you MUST take it at first sign of discomfort. Use the dissolving tablets. I run into a lot of other people with migraine, and we all pretty much turn to triptans for real relief. You might be tired after one, but hopefully NO dry heaves, agony or horrid migraine for 24-72 hours. Good luck!
Great video man, love your suggestions but I've been getting 2-3 migraines every week for the past two months since I upped the intensity in the gym and got stronger and I noticed that there's a very good chance working out might be causing the frequent migraines since I wasn't getting them as much when I got injured and had to take a couple months off. It's made me wonder should I just quit the gym because if I'm not going to be able to get significantly stronger and bigger I don't know what to do. Thanks for the great videos 👍👍. By the way I'm 17 and really want to get bigger so it would be devastating to have to quit the gym but if that's what it takes I'll have to.
Yeh, quiting the gym should be a last resort. I'd devote your time to identifying migraine triggers. Look up common triggers, and note the ones that may be suspect whenever you get a migraine. For me it's intense exercise, lack of water, bright lights, neck tension. Having said that, I drink tons of water, do lots of neck work, and wear sunglasses after hard workouts. Stay with it man. You'll figure it out
@@ThreeStormFitness What about the fluorescent lights in the gym? Do you think those could be a trigger, too? I feel like this is more of a problem for me than natural light. Intensity is definitely part of it, too; it's sucks! And I get rebound migraines, too, I think, from the Zomig, too, so the initial trigger can turn into four days of needing to take migraine meds.
I drink a couple cups of coffee an hour or two before my workout and get terrible pulsing headaches from bench pressing. Do you think the coffee might be related (all other things aside)?
I get migraines too not very often. I had a two last year. I just started cardio at the gym which I haven’t done in a decade. I started getting exertion headaches man they suck. Feels like my head is gonna explode.
Hey, I’ve never had a headache in my life and I did a hard leg day workout and then went and lifted pretty hard with my wrestling team and I felt fine but I woke up with the worst headache I’ve ever had and I was drinking water like crazy yesterday
Sorry dude--sucks. Did you get an aura (blindness in the vision)? If not, it may have been a tension headache. , which truthfully, can suck just as badly. The good thing about tension headaches, however, is that they're more easy to prevent (do tons of light neck exercises like yes, nos, maybe, etc, and use a lacrosse ball to smash your traps and suboccipital lobes...that's what helps me anyway).
Look in to food intolerances and are you able to breath properly threw your nose . That’s what was causing my migraines and every time I worked out I would get huge migraines abd be sick for days
Thank you so much for this. There’s not one time that I’ve done any cardio since I was around 16 that I don’t get a migraine. I’ll try what you have suggested.
Man, that's terrible. I really hope it helps you. I didn't talk about it in the video, but I've been doing a lot of self myofascial release in the base of my skull, which seems to be where I feel my migraines the most. This video covers what I'm talking about: m.th-cam.com/video/z-EpR7UfAe0/w-d-xo.html Good luck!
So question.. Have you or anyone else in this thread ever tried Indomethacin before exercise?? My doctor prescribed me 25mg of Indomethacin to take 30 - 60 minutes before exercise.. I've only tested it once so far after a workout and it worked.. I also get them after playing paintball which is my worse fear because I play tournaments with a team and don't want to let my teammates down because I have a migraine. I've been drinking over a half gallon of water before paintball and it's been working pretty good. However, a few weeks ago I drank a whole bunch and still got aura followed by a debilitating migraine.
Ugggh, sorry Erik. Yeh, I hear ya on paintball. I don't play myself, but I've been in similar situations with jiu-jitsu and personal training...I've had to call class before because I got the aura in the middle of teaching...it's so freakin frustrating. Haven't tried Indomethacin, but I really hope it works well for you.
I’ve been dealing with this since 2016-2022. Last night throw up and had an excruciating migraine. I’m 27, 6’1 155-163 and love to hoop what should I do. I sometimes go through the pain of blurred vision as well when they come on
Thanks for the tips! What would you recommend to eat right after the workout? (Sometimes dextrose seems to do the trick for me... Yesterday I forgot, and the migraine afterwards was really bad.)
Hey Paula, good question. I've heard pure dextrose recommended often for post workout nutrition, and it seems to be very effective at quickly replenishing glycogen stores (and why wouldn't it? It's pure dextrose :). I don't consume it, however. Not for any reason other than I've never gotten around to buying it, and I'd rather rack up the calories on something that's also going to be satiating (though I'll occasionally pop a couple Starburst after a workout to kick off the recovery train). I don't know how it all ties into migraine prevention (migraines seem to have very personal triggers), but post workout nutrition definitely seems to play a part with me. In other words, I make a serious effort to get a big meal in quickly (not only for migraine prevention, but also for gainz). My ideal consumption schedule typically looks something like this: Up to 1 gallon of water accumulated before the workout. 1.5-2 hours before workout: meal (rarely do I complete an intense workout in the morning, unless I absolutely have to) .5 hours before workout EAAs and/or BCAAs and small snack (e.g., apple) During workout: more EAAs and/or another small snack if it's particularly long and strenuous .5 hours after workout: protein supplement .5-1 hour after workout: ideally biggest meal of the day...I try to eat meat; starch or grain; and veggies until I'm somewhat uncomfortable :)
Thank you! I will try the snack before (which seems so easy, I don't know why I never do that :)) and also the EAA and protein, that's both rather new for me, never paid much attention to that. Eating sooner after the workout is also a good tip. Thanks again for your effort! :)
Hey , I was lifting weights 3 days ago and suddenly my head started hurting in the left back side. I had no choice but to sleep. After 3 days too , when Im lifting weights and breathing hard it starts again. Any tips?
Ugh. I get the visual aurora scars too. then i lose my speech and coordination. then comes the freight train pain. Ive been getting these only in the morning when i work out. If i work out in the evening i dont... Im gonna try eating before the morning workout to see if that helps. I think it happens when I sleep all night (fasting) and workout with no food in my system. Ill try that chewing gum thing that dude below mentions too. Cause omg, my whole day is shot with sickness and nausea when this shit comes on. Thanks for the video man. Ill drink and eat more.
Have the same issue, cold showers after workouts seems to work for me, as I have spotted that overheating might be the case... also I had stopped pushing myself to hard, because I am scared as hell of getting anothet migraine
Just a note for other women out there, it is still good to drink water, but you do not have to drink a gallon! I am 5'4 and 140 pounds. Personally, if i drank a gallon of water before a workout I think I would explode lmao... 2 litres might be a better option for us. EDIT: Also, I highly highly recommend drinking a little of an isotonic/electrolyte drink (without caffeine) before, a little during, and finishing off most of it after a workout. You can get little fizzy tablets you can pack in your gym bag. Has been great for me.
I find my neck will be so tight with eye pain and sensitive to light after bjj class. It really sucks because I like jiujitsu. I also take immitrex and you are pretty much worthless after that. It does work though. Thanks for the pointers. Id like to piggyback on the water. In American measurements I drink 4-5 water bottles a day. Oh and I take Aimovig now. I HIGHLY recommend it. It reduced my number greatly.
Thank you for this video! I notice mine happen after long workouts with high intensity.. specifically mma, boxing, wrestling.. where I lose probably 2lb-3lb of sweat. I now eat a decent meal about 2 hours prior to training, and right before I take an electrolyte supplement (LMNT) it contains 1000mg of sodium 200mg potassium and 30mg of magnesium. I’ve noticed it has helped ALOT, I also follow up with a post workout meal. I hope this helps everyone with their exercises induced migraines!
When I get migraines I get the white dots on my vision and I get really dizzy and have a hard time walking. Idk how to fix it tho. Cause I wanna be in the military
Yeah bro nutrition and hydration are the ones that help me the most drinking a shit tone of water before during and a little less after seems to help me.... although I find I can do weightlifting without drinking as much but anything related to cardio is what really fucks me up. Big up relson Gracie bjj porra
I get the exact same thing. Weight lifting rarely seems to give me a migraine unless its a serious leg workout. What really kills me is soccer. I don't get them after every game but whenever i play my heart out, theres a high chance im going to get one lol. I'd like to share one thing that helped me; Eating dates! I'm a Muslim and we fast for 30 days out of the year (almost 16 hour days) and when it is time to break our fast, it is recommended we do so with dates and water, then we proceed to our meal. During that month, its really hard to get an appropriate amount of water, especially when all you have is a 6 hour eating window. Believe it or not, I played soccer at night during that month and never got the migraine. I believe its attributed to the dates I ate everyday for 30 days. I believe the minerals in there could help prevent them. I suggest giving them a try!
I'm not Muslim, and I don't play soccer, but other than that, we have a lot in common. It's not just weights for me either. I've gotten them from Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing, battle ropes, and hill sprints...any high level of excursion seems to put me at risk. It's so funny that you mention dates. I've been popping a couple of them before and after my workout sessions lately, and I haven't had an issue (it helps that they taste like candy)...of course, I've been doing all the other stuff too. This is one of those things where I'm not ashamed to always take the shotgun approach for prevention. Thanks for chiming in, my friend!
I got my first almost like exertion migrain today from the gym. Ive beengoingfor over 2 months now and seeing a lot of progress but it was so bad today im scared to ever go again. I had the distorted vission but was stupid and jist tried to persevere through it. As soon as i got home I had the worst migrain of my life and it felt like knives stabing into my head. I ended up layong in the bathroom tile for 4 hours occasioanlly mpvong to throw up. Im really scared to ever try working out again after today.
For me, a guaranteed way to get a migraine is to drink these sports drinks like gatorade before a game or anything sugery. People thought it was crazy that i´d have a meal just before i played and ate food at half time!!! and i still get migraines. I onboard loads of water. Read recently that it could electrolytes... apparently chicken broth is good.
Interesting. There are so many personal triggers that I'm not surprised at all. I have two friends who swear they get migraines from certain types of beer...maybe something to do with the types of sugars...I don't know (neither do any neurologists I've talked to unfortunately).
@@ThreeStormFitness Yeah its a mystery mate. I do know that when my sugar levels crash, i get a migraine. So i do everything to maintain those levels with things you describe in your video!! And in my experience, migraines got easier as i got older. As a teen i used to vomit all night, now in my 40s, i lie down 30 minutes and wait for the visual distortions to go away, then im back in business with only a slight headache. Cheers.
I get a headache or migrane the 98% of times the next day I work out...I dont think this is normal. If I take an antiacid inmediatly after working out..I dont have these headaches, but I dont think I should take it every time...
Keeping a food diary has helped me more than anything. Read labels on everything and learn how it’s snuck into the food. MSG,tannins, nitrates and there are others. MSG seems to be in damn near everything. Naturally accruing MSG Is ok NOT the food additive. Tannins are in chocolate, peanuts, pecans, wine and coffee. Mine have reduced by 75%
That's a great tip. I rarely get them anymore, but for the first time since I don't know when, I got one over the weekend after not working out. That said, I had just spent a full day at King's Island with the meal plan where you can order a full entree from the park restaurants every 90 minutes...I took the physical challenge and stuffed my fat face with probably everything on your list (all the coasters probably contributed too). It was worth it though!
I noticed your Jitsu shirt, I get migraines after training BJJ must be the high intensity of the work out I will try eating after training see if this helps ... how soon after training ???
Yeh, I've gotten them several times after rolling. I not only think it's the intense exercise, but perhaps the straining, particularly around the neck...I need to stop get choked. I usually try to eat immediately after. I do this for intense exercise as well (has other benefits aside from potential migraine prevention). If I cant get a full meal in, I'll shoot for at least a shot of protein and water, and some simple carb source, like raw honey. Again, these are just things I do...migraines seem to affect many people differently. That said, I hope it helps you out. One more thing. With regard to being neck related, check out these videos, and see if it does anything for ya: th-cam.com/video/by1-7wH15LQ/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/veTXDIcW5b4/w-d-xo.html
Three Storm Fitness thanks bro I’ll check the links it’s nice to know there are others trying to find their way through these problems and sharing knowledge
Three Storm Fitness one thing really helps me is that when aura symptoms start to appear i drink 2 glass of water as soon as possible and then i vomit all the water and during vomit the water becomes a little bit acidic....but after vomitting all the water fully the aura and headaches dissappear instantly...
@@nyctophile8630 I also have to do it everything I have Migraine.. Since I eat almost every 2 and half hours, the possibility that the bad digestion triggered the Migraine is higher. Sometimes it just happens because of other factors, but anyway the digestion will also stop, so if I wash it out it also helps. But if I know it was triggered because of spending more time without eating, then it also helps to wash out that acid before leaving it go to the blood and head.. Also, sometimes forcing to vomit (as strange as it already sounds) helps me to quicker get rid of the aura. In your case, were you taking supplements or eating every source of protein? Because most of the good protein sources help alot to trigger Migraines.
@@RichardShift now that thing doesnt disturb me any more ..i just got rid of it ..its been 3 months since my last migraine headache . exercise help me a lot in that case
I've heard a couple other people say that about creatine. I don't believe that's my issue since I take it almost daily (if it was, I figure I'd get them more often). Of course, I only take the minimum dose...I've heard of people having problem (and a few more) with the "loading" dose. That said, I would agree with you--the benefits of creatine probably aren't worth frequent migraines. I wonder if tren gives you migraines...(just kidding)
I have been getting exercise induced migraine since 10 years, it's absolutely hell and discouraging as fuck. I have done training for months without getting one attack, and the suddenly I get 3 one week. I am to scared to do anything now. I can't seem to find anything to work with either, it's just totally random. It's like a build up of stress to it and them boom. The last attack was so severe I was about to go to the hospital, I did not feel my lips my arms I couldn't see, I was shaky dizzy, I vomited. And intense pain in my head unbearable almost. That's not something you dare to get again, that's why I am so fucking hesitant to even work out just a little bit. I also get huge dissociative symptoms with it as well.
Great news for me.... I could eradicate 95% of my migraine issue by this unique solution working for me...guess what...chewing gums...yes u guys heard it right....i commute an hour by bike to reach my workplace and helmets are strict yes and this triggers me headaches...and as soon i sit for work infront of PC...migraine kicks in...then comes rescue I start chewing gums pretty fast for 10 mins and migraines totally disappear and i continue my rest of the day with smooth chewing....though light tension kicks in...i take breaks...hydrate but always hv gums in mouth till EOD... This process distracts me from focusing on pain...releases facial tension on muscle and nerves...probably helps in buliding jaw lines as well....best part is i get good 8 hrs sleep now...thanks to chewing gums...let me know if i guys feel same
Today I had very good strength, but during my lifts I received insane pain in my neck and head... made me so pissed. It's because I grind my teeth all night when I have too much stress at work.
Here's the video: th-cam.com/video/nylonQNk7OI/w-d-xo.html

By the way I have a personal issue when I was flat benching 200lbs, I was pressing my head way to hard against the soft part of the bench. Now when I any weight on bench in that position it triggers my migraine.
@@discoveranytime I have the same issue and I can't bench heavy at all now. So what solved your issue?
Luke Saulter I have the same problem it seems to, any solutions?
Man I feel You... Every good workout for me ends with migraine...it drives me crazy, I envy every person who can put maximum effort in to training and go home without vomiting and massive headache. Thanks for advice. One thing that helps me as well is sleep discipline. Go to bed at the same time, don't use your phone before bed, wake up at the same time, don't oversleep. Thanks again!!
I hear ya, bud. Mine have been less and less frequent...however, my pre and post workout routines have gotten longer and longer (small price to pay for headgin my bets against migraines though). Excellent tip on sleep...probably the most underrated facet not only to migraine prevention, but physique, performance, and general well-being as well
It’s kinda soothing to hear that other people get that too.
It’s absolutely horrible.
The only thing that helps me are very high doses of nicotine.
@@doctorcatnip2551 right? I been getting them recently n now I know I’m not alone
Doctor Catnip nicotine? Like smoking cigarettes?
I believe electrolytes might help. Have some salt!
It kinda helps to see that other people have those problems too. It's like sharing the pain. Dont get me wrong, I dont wish anybody those headaches.
It’s absolutely reassuring to know that you’re not alone in this...the Aura part is the scariest to me. Thanks for uploading this video, will definitely try these tips
Rabah Arrabah Same!
I always get the Aura!
It feels like you're gonna go blind. It's horrible
I experienced my first one yesterday. The "aura" he described before the headache is EXACTLY what I experienced too.
I had that aura think than i forgot how to talk went to the hospital and they said i got nothing anyone experienced it similar
1) Stay hydrated. Drink 2-3 liters of water before your workout
2) Eat before and after your workouts
3) Relax after you workout.
I want to start again slowly and see though but it’s difficult to strike up the courage
im so sorry this sounds terrible mine have put me in the ER twice now and its extremely frustrating. thanks for sharing your tips!
how has 5-htp treated you?
I’ve been getting migraines since I was a child, I’m now 38. For the last few months I have been getting them at least weekly and often after a mountain bike ride. I have upped my water intake with no difference. My neurologist recommends taking mag oxide 500mg and B2 400mg daily. I’ve been taking a nuun hydration tab prior to the exercise and a salt tab or two during the workout and those seem to be helping to prevent the migraine from starting. It’s very frustrating and can be very deflating mentally. Working on trying to figure out definite triggers now. Good luck everyone.
How's it working out so far?
Any tips man?
Same for me. So I quit going to the gym 😢
20 years ago, when I was having a migraine after doing the leg press, an old UNM coach came up to me and told me to stop caffeine. And it worked.
Exact same thing happens to me on the leg press. I will try not taking caffeine thank you
I found that cutting out caffeine mainly, reducing alcohol and taking vitamin D and Iorn supllilents has worked wonders. No migraines in 3 weeks 🙌
A few tips of mine:
Avoid sugar and alcohol, get enough sleep, don't dramatically alter the amount of caffeine you consume (don't go from four cups a day to 0, don't go from 0 to four etc)
The doctor also prescribed beta blockers which has helped a lot.
Thanks for making thos video. I thought I was the only one who gets migraines after workout.. ill surely apply those tips 💯
Just got home from the gym. currently working through the visual part of the migraine. I do think it is largely dehydration for me. Will work on it. Thanks for the tips.
+pakkun723 you're quite welcome. Good luck! !
Migraines are a terrible reward for a job well done. Best of luck to you my friend!
I have been getting migraines for years but since practising yoga it has become more frequent and have only just figured out the why. Do yoga Nedra now and no more downward did or any shape affecting my neck, jaw area. Thank you for the tips…great to know it’s not just me.🙏🍁☘️
You have allowed a kundalini demon to enter. Look up a spiritual aspects of practicing yoga, you are yoking with hindu gods aka demons
I've been dedicated to my life to getting fit lately but unfortunately these migraines really hold me back. Haven't been able to workout in almost a week because of an exercise induced migraine that hasn't gone away.
Very sorry to hear that. So frustrating.
Omg same girl wow
I think prosciutto before a workout would be ideal bc it’s protein with a lot of salt and isn’t heavy
I worked out hard today. And soon after the aura started, filled me with dread and ruined my day.
Great vid. I find the time of day I exercise is key too. If exercise hard in the evening 7pm or later i am very vulnerable to an attack. Neck and shoulder stretches plus a massage gun on them helps as does ibuprofen one before activity.
Along with that tips, I'd also suggest to be aware of which foods easily trigger the Migraines and avoid them! It is saving my life! True fact.
Absolutely--great point. Thanks Richard!
Water, water, water, salt, lay down with feet high... I have POTS and multiple heart arrhythmias and I get visual migraines about once every 3 workouts. It sucks but it can be manageable.
+Micah Y. Thanks for chiming in. 1/3 times...that sucks. ..I won't complain about my situation again
Thanks for your videos man, great advice on something that's rarely talked about. I've never tried box breathing so I'll try it and see if it helps.
I had a friend with POTS. She passed out and had bloody nose and vision loss after excercise. Thanks for sharing your technique.
+Rachel Butcher yes, it is extremely discouraging, and yes, get that giant water bottle! Best of luck to you. Thanks for watching!

These migraines are horrible they always get me and killed my mood after exercise or on a hot day thanks for the help ❤❤
Cold days too...had one yesterday. Yeh, they're a buzz kill.
Wonderfully done! Literally the best info.

@@janjamesramos247 Don't worry, it is matter of time, you willbe ok
Here's a good article on the benefits of inversion from Jill Miller (where I stole the technique):

Thanks dude!
Three Storm Fitness hahahaha lol if you ever find a fix for it definitely do a video cause they are a pain in the ass
😭 I really don’t want to drink that much water 😢
One this I always do is soak my head in freezing water. It helps a good amount of the time. If it does happen tho I just take a sleeping pill and have a nap. Once I wake up the edge is taken off it’s not as painful.
I get kind of an immediate sharp pain in the top left of my head. Might get a bit light headed. Dunno if its a tendon in my neck or my blood vessels.
I talk about it here in another video:
th-cam.com/video/AKTCLrn850o/w-d-xo.html
Hope that helps. Let me know if you find out anything new. Thanks!
I find myself here after really pushing myself yesterday evening. Opened my eyes this morning to what felt like a hangover 🤒 I have places to be today and this is not good lol
thanks for advice and will try all tricks and we will see,i hope i will get my migrane under control
Thanks for the advice.
That almost makes too much sense
Seriously, I think that's fantastic.
UPDATE! I
I've seen a huge reduction in migraines by giving up coffee.
Ugh I might have to try cutting out caffeine 😭
I’ve been trying to figure this out for so long. They gave me sumatriptans also. I’m starting to figure out it’s from my workouts!!!
Thanks for posting. Going to try these. I also find magnesium or a good electrolyte drink helpful. Nothing is perfect but anything that helps.
Thank You for sharing your knowledge can't wait try these tips out! you da Man!!
That’s EXACTLY what I get.
Man this video was breif and legit.
+John Hyde awesome! Very glad that made a difference. Thanks for the tip on maxalt. I’ll ask my doc about getting some. Thanks again!
It’s a real pain in the...head :)
What kind of medicine are you using?
Good luck!
Almost wish I got the aura :/
You'll figure it out
@@ThreeStormFitness what neck work do you think helps prevent the headaches? Ty
Try an electrolyte drink before and during the gym session.
Thank you!
Three Storm Fitness thanks but I think it was a side effect of a medication I took
awesome! thank you
Thank you so much !!
Thank you sir!!!! So thanful you posted that. I also get them from salty food bright sun glare. And if hungry.
can relate with sun glare.
Look in to food intolerances and are you able to breath properly threw your nose . That’s what was causing my migraines and every time I worked out I would get huge migraines abd be sick for days
I take sumatriptan also, man, I honestly don't know how I lived without it
Thank you so much for this.
This video covers what I'm talking about: m.th-cam.com/video/z-EpR7UfAe0/w-d-xo.html
Good luck!
Amber Hinson Any luck with cardio lately?
What a godsend seeing this!! What mg of sumatriptan do you take?
I’m interested in trying this. Is it still working for you?
I’ve been dealing with this since 2016-2022. Last night throw up and had an excruciating migraine. I’m 27, 6’1 155-163 and love to hoop what should I do. I sometimes go through the pain of blurred vision as well when they come on
Man i was shitting myself after having those problem, but now i know that i am not the only one. Thanks a lot man...
My ideal consumption schedule typically looks something like this:
Up to 1 gallon of water accumulated before the workout.
1.5-2 hours before workout: meal (rarely do I complete an intense workout in the morning, unless I absolutely have to)
.5 hours before workout EAAs and/or BCAAs and small snack (e.g., apple)
During workout: more EAAs and/or another small snack if it's particularly long and strenuous
.5 hours after workout: protein supplement
.5-1 hour after workout: ideally biggest meal of the day...I try to eat meat; starch or grain; and veggies until I'm somewhat uncomfortable :)
Thank you! I will try the snack before (which seems so easy, I don't know why I never do that :)) and also the EAA and protein, that's both rather new for me, never paid much attention to that. Eating sooner after the workout is also a good tip. Thanks again for your effort! :)
I get the exact same thing when I try to heavy deadlift or squat.
I am.having the ones you have i think they are called hemopeligic migranes or something do you have numbness in ur head or throbbing sensation
Have the same issue, cold showers after workouts seems to work for me, as I have spotted that overheating might be the case... also I had stopped pushing myself to hard, because I am scared as hell of getting anothet migraine
“This shit” is right 😠😖😖😖
Just a note for other women out there, it is still good to drink water, but you do not have to drink a gallon!
Worthless after Imitrex? I just got a script - can you explain?
@@icingcake kind of knocks you for a loop for a bit afterwards. Been so long since i took it though. I take aimovig now. Changed my life.
@@Guywithair2 I see! Thanks for sharing - this whole comment section is so damn relatable 😭😭😭
* basically when ur piss is see through is when ur ready to workout is what I've found
That's a good tip. Works for me that way too. And big up indeed!
Three Storm Fitness that's amazing to hear! I will stick with my date snacking even outside of Ramadan. Thanks for sharing boss!
Cheers.
Salt. Adding lots of salt to my water has changed the game. Drinking lots of water without it is just going to dehydrate you more.
Isotonic is key, I guess lots of salt can be very dangerous!
I get them only when i'm working out in the heat
I noticed your Jitsu shirt, I get migraines after training BJJ must be the high intensity of the work out
I will try eating after training see if this helps ... how soon after training ???
And what’s best to eat ??
Yeh, I've gotten them several times after rolling. I not only think it's the intense exercise, but perhaps the straining, particularly around the neck...I need to stop get choked.
I usually try to eat immediately after. I do this for intense exercise as well (has other benefits aside from potential migraine prevention).
If I cant get a full meal in, I'll shoot for at least a shot of protein and water, and some simple carb source, like raw honey.
Again, these are just things I do...migraines seem to affect many people differently. That said, I hope it helps you out.
One more thing. With regard to being neck related, check out these videos, and see if it does anything for ya:

Three Storm Fitness thanks bro I’ll check the links it’s nice to know there are others trying to find their way through these problems and sharing knowledge
Here because I've currently got one following a hard workout 😵💫
Similarly i got those aura and visual disturbance during workout even if i drink a drop of water...it is totally opposite for me...i dont know why...
So strange (and interesting). Migraines are confusing jerks. I guess that's the importance of working to identify your own triggers
I just saw a video someone said low sodium. I might try to take a little more salt to see if it helps.
Thanks, I was freaking out yesterday after crossfit. Is was my first migraine ever.
Ugggh. Sorry to hear that--so frustrating. I hope some of the tips from the video (and others' comments) help you out.
Pool Man Did you have visual disturbance as well?
Omg I have the same problem 💯😭💔
Sorry to hear that--hopefully you get a little less of it. Stay hydrated and migraine free, my friend!
Man these Migranes are Killing me so Bad to The Point I had to Chug a Bottle of water every Workout man it still hurts even after working out..
I get headache after i started to take creatine, probably not for me i guess. And i drink a lot of water everyday
Went to the gym with a slight headache and when I left I swear I wanted to throw up. My work out was ass just pushed myself through 😞
I have been getting exercise induced migraine since 10 years, it's absolutely hell and discouraging as fuck.
Fuck,man.... trying for the 20th time to get fit again and this shit keeps coming back.
Wtf are the doctors doing about it
I hate when i pose and out of nothing short, sharp migraine comes and black vision
This process distracts me from focusing on pain...releases facial tension on muscle and nerves...probably helps in buliding jaw lines as well....best part is i get good 8 hrs sleep now...thanks to chewing gums...let me know if i guys feel same
very interesting, arun. Really appreciate you sharing. Going to experiment with that now. Glad you finally got some relief my friend!
I keep getting them working out
Low key scared it might be an aneurysm
Today I had very good strength, but during my lifts I received insane pain in my neck and head... made me so pissed. It's because I grind my teeth all night when I have too much stress at work.
