  • In this video I go over the 2020 JEEP GLADIATOR | MPG'S, ACCELERATION, DRIVABILITY WITH 37" TIRES AND 4.10 GEARS. Im getting ready to swap gears to 5.13's and I had some people ask me to make a video talking about the drivability characteristics. I did not go into super detail. Meaning the 0-60 test is not timed. I will be getting the Taser so I can time before and after 0-60 times.

    I have an overland with regular tow package so 373 gears 3” RK lift with king internal reservoir shocks these are only around $500 a set . They are tuned for the gladiator it’s the best shock I’ve ever had on any jeep the ride is unreal. The 8 speed is really a great addition to this truck I could have probably lived with not gearing, but i tow a 5000# camper so 37” trail grapplers i regeared to 5.13’s changed computer with tazer. I stay in 8th 90% of the time when it downshifts it quick and controlled, i just took a trip 1000 miles and averaged 17mpg doing 70-75mph. Very pleased

    I plan on getting a jeep Gladiator very soon. I want to do a 2-2.5 inch lift with 35 inch tires, and put some kind of supercharger on it. Other than those small mods I'm going to keep it as it is.

    • @Tinker3504
      @Tinker3504 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Small Mods" - 7k for a supercharger :) I'm debating between Ripp and Magnuson with a heavy lean towards Magnusson. 3 year warranty and don't have to relocate the front camera. Although slightly lower output, more linier which is gives me confidence on the stock engine and drivetrain. I'm doing SC before I even think about upgrading from the stock 33's.

    Hi, I have a sport Gladiator on 37 tires. I love the truck. I have had the gladiator 10 month and 5,500 miles. I have not done the 37 inch tire flash and the best long trip mpg I have seen is 16.5. That was checked manually from pump to pump. The computer had it at 17.1 mpg. In the city it gets between 12 and 13.5 mpg one regular gas. The gladiator dies have the 4.10 stock gears. The difference from the stock tires to the 37 inch tires is about 12% difference on the odometer. I live in south Florida were it sea level and hot as hell. I have put premium gas and the mpg is the same. I will be doing the computer tire flash to see if it gets better. I have noticed when I am at highway speeds (70-75) the gladiator does not get into the 8th gear. I contribute that to the 37 tires. Would like to get your opinion. Pa. Nice you tube videos. Keep them coming and enjoy the Gladiator. Stay safe

    • @MaxOverland
      @MaxOverland  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly the higher you go with your lift. The worse off your mpg with be. I stayed as low as I could with the 2.5” lift. As soon as we put big tires on with this 3.6l mpg goes out the window. Did you use a tazer to tell the jeep what tires and gears you have?

    • @onebridge7231
      @onebridge7231 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have 3” lift on 38 Nitto Trail Grapplers 12.5x17, with 5:13 gears. My mpg sits at low 14mpg, but at least I hit 8th gear now on highway. That 5” lift isn’t necessary for 37’s. More like 40’s or 43’s. I could easily put 40s on my 2020 Rubicon and they’ll fit fine. No need for a long arm suspension kit since I won’t be doing crazy rock crawling.

    I doubt if you do a real world test you will be close to 20mpg w/ 37's and 4.10's in your rig especially with the weight and open bed. You can watch my gas mileage video for my 2020 JLUR/2.0T/4.10/3.5" lift w/ BFG 35's. Took it on a 14 hour, 900 mile trip up and back to Idaho from AZ and hit just 18MPG with nearly the identical route taken. I also put it in M8 a few times to just let it cruise but I can still get it to 8th gear and the computer has ben reset for 35's. My guess is you would be at about 16mpg. Reset your dash, go for 50 miles up and back on the same route. There is no way you hit 8th gear until you go to 4.88 or 5.13. I get my 37's and re-gear in March 2022 and will update.
