- We Found Some Crazy Stuff In This Abandoned Shed
We have several abandoned buildings on the 130 acre creek property that we need to go through and see what we can find. Today we show you going through the 12x16 shed we moved to our offgrid property.

I know it will be hard, like it was for you, when I finally start selling off generations of my family's things and my own. Oh well, we can't take it with us when we pass away. I'm going to Heaven to be with my Jesus and other family that I miss terribly. I really wouldn't mind going asap. I do need to tie up loose ends while I still can do a little bit at a time. I need help though! Prayers for you and yours!
I absolutely hate throwing pictures away because you just have that feeling that somebody somewhere is searching for some type of picture that has great meaning in their life I know it's happened to me before good and bad

That stainless sink is perfect for your outdoor butcher area for processing your chickens, deer, garden veggies, etc.....That black dresser would have made a good "Tool Box" for shop tools, nails, circular saws etc.

You might think about keeping the sink and later build a shed and install it for processing chickens, rabbit, deer, ect. Just a thought.

That's awesome that you reached out to her family.... I lost my son almost four years ago and I treasure all of his memories.... I lost Alito of his pictures in the house fire.... so someone doing something like that could really mean the world to someone.... God bless you all

I'm so very PROUD of ALL of you for reaching out to that family, My daughter lost her baby book W/All her important paperwork in a storage unit that she didn't pay for & I was just sick about it, so I'm THRILLED that you all were thought full enough to reach out & get these items back to the family... & I agree W/Brandy the BUS needs to be first....

That dresser could be used for a work bench. Good storage for saws, drills, etc.

What a beautiful family, everyone working together. Dutch, I love how you and your wife speak to your children. Also you and Brandi always show thoughtfulness to others.
I have to commend that truck driver getting the rig with the shed through that tight path. Easy for a pickup truck and utility trailer, but that full-size rig was literally inches away from disaster. Glad you went through the personal items and reached out to the relatives. Most people would've sent it all to the dump. Maybe they weren't important people in the community but they were important to family. I know about that because both my parents are gone and we had to clear out their house and sell it. There was so many personal items with our memories tied to them. Thanks for keeping it real.

You have to go there everything, go thru books , friend of mine found a lot of money in books, her dad hit 100 dollar bills in them. Go thru pockets, check drawers and bottom and side of draws for goodies. Pull drawers and check the backs
I found 5.00 in a pr of pants I bought at goodwill
My friend is a senior move manager and they find stuff in all the places you mentioned. Pockets, books, behind/under drawers & pictures etc.

If you want to clear out all the stuff and bus and trailer have an auction. One day advent clears most all “junk” out and you get paid a little money to. If there is stuff around like the plastic barrels, it will sell too.
Check under each drawer a lot of elderly put envelopes of stuff under them.

Myself getting up there in Years. I Totally agree with You. My wife passed away and my three kids are not as Sentimental as previous generations. So it’s Really difficult to part with things that I know meant a lot to Her. God Bless you for reaching out to their families to give them the opportunity to at least have a chance to see what was left behind.
That is a beautiful shed, sturdy, well-built and very useful! You won’t regret moving this to the home place!

We have a Thrift Shop in our town that takes donation of all kinds of things. It is run by a non-profit benefitting help for those needing medical attention. The shop is large divided in sections as furniture, appliances, clothes &shoes (men, women, children) sheets, towels, blankets. Etc. They have a drive up & person to help unload.. . Looks as if this shed has a lot of reusable items, plus the nice shed. Goodwill n Salvation Army are here too. In Tyler TX Many churches help other countries with items too. The stuff we leave behind is kinda sad in a way, like one’s life has a final ending here on earth. You all did a good clean out. So glad to know Brandi found the sister who will take some family things. Warms my heart.

I’m glad you took the time to try to find them . I wish that was done with me ! My excaregiver decided not to pay my storage and I lost everything even my husband’s ashes . The other things can definitely be replaced but it is real hard to get over the ashes . You touched my heart 💜! !

Thank you for contacting the family, when my brother passed away my sister in law kept a lot of his stuff. After several years I visited her and she shared many items and pictures. I have asked my children to come get whatever they want now before I pass away.
I dream a lot about abandoned old houses and going thru all the left behind stuff!

Wow that's a Yoder shed isn't it? I have a large one I bought for my She shed. I love it! They are good sheds. I put a ceiling in mine, wired and dry walled it, flooring. Best of luck with your shed.

The blankets, towels, sheets etc could be donated to animal shelters. They would love to get them.
Double check those blankets!!! They could be handmade quilts. I found several in my mothers basement when i was cleaning out hee house. One was about 100 years old and was in good condition. The rest were between 20 to 80 years old, one requiring minor repairs. Real treasure!!!

I really appreciate the fact that you reached out to a relative to give those albums and things to. My sister passed away 3 days. Now, since her son and his wife were living with and taking care of her before she died, she was in a senior mobile park, and they have til the end of this month to move out. He called me yesterday and asked if I wanted her photo albums. Of course, I said yes. I was very thankful that I get to have those memories to remember her by.
Bus 🤣. My Aunts only child sold all of her Mothers things she treasured. Let me tell you it was a lot. Never asked family if we wanted anything that came from our grandparents. Greedy people. It’s great you could get pictures back to her family. Y’all are great caring people. 💖🇺🇸
