Im going to build one this size if things fall into place this year. 16x 40 seems like a good size for a comfortable cabin in my eyes. I am not looking forward to 115F weather this summer but its time to start planning. I started a 1/2 acre garden and today was it hot day so a nice cool shelter would be nice. Awesome video bud.
Grats, you bought a shed. Word of advice, check your local county building ordinances BEFORE continuing the conversion. Worse case scenario, you won't be able to live in it or get power. YT Tennessee couple tried this and county told them it wouldn't meet the code for a habitable structure. And they still haven't been able to live in it. Storage only. They ended up having to buy a trailer/camper.

didnt think you could use it as a house until its paid for. way better then what used to be done, a 5th wheel. what do you do when you get a girl? looks like you can add another to have room for a family. those are very nice and the porch is a huge bonus.
I’m supposed to be getting a ton of money when my aunt passes away and I’m going to use a lot of it to get one of these and finally move into my own home and out of my parents’ 😂 I know that sounds crazy to say about my aunt, but I’m very grateful for her and we’ve been poor our whole lives, but she wasn’t. She’s been selling land and stuff and she still has so much money that is going to people and companies when she passes away. I’ve always wanted to get one of these sheds and turn it into my tiny home.
Did your shed yet? My sister bought one . She had the walls finished in cedar. Over her stove she has a metal archway over her stove. The archway is like they use at weddings. She put a dowel rod through it and uses it for paper towels. She hangs vine ripe tomatoes from the side. She has a full size dishwasher and refrigerator along with a full bath. Her bed is a queen. She has a dining table end table recliner a sette and storage for her can goods. She also uses her loft as storage. Her place is super cute
I may buy the exact same barn from wheat ridge as well! Can you please tell me how you prepped the ground and what I should do? Can you tell me who did the ground prep, maybe I can hire them? Thank you.
