Cast-iron bathtubs are good to water animals with. Just use a stopper and plug it up. You can install an automatic waterer to it and keep water tub full. My daddy had a toolbox that was similar for his job. His toolbox was a little shorter. He used it to keep all the tools he needed for fixing looms in the cotton mill.

This makes me think I really should go through my things and start throwing away junk just to make it easier for my family to get rid of it after I'm gone. When our kids were young, we bought a 1929 Bluebird school bus. It was already converted into a camper but we stripped it clean, painted, put flooring down and upgraded it to a really nice camper. We kept it parked on a lot on a lake and stayed there every weekend that the weather permitted. We didn't realize it then but we were creating the best memories. Our middle aged kids still talk about those days and say they were the best times of their childhood.
The bath tube would make a good water container for the small horses. If that is iron it's worth some money as check out scrap iron prices. This was fun watching y'all go through the bus. Love y'all
My ex who was an upholsterer turned a cast iron bathtub into a love seat for a customer, He cut part of the front out and covered with gold corduroy velvet . He mad a covered pad to fill in the curve of the bottom and then made a cushion . Then the outside of tub was painted black .She used the tub on a sun porch as her favorite reading spot. They made a platform for the tub to sit on so it would be the right height. It would make a good watering trough for cows or horses, A planter or even a outdoor hot tub. If the bus is structurally sound and not leaking . It would be a great summer project for the girls to fix as a playhouse. A bunk house . Clean it out and then you can see what you have .

That old wooden toolbox under the bus would make a great planter for summer flower pots to sit in!! See them a lot in antique shops! Set it on your front porch for a sweet antique flower box!👌
Keep it and clean it up. Take your time and fix it up for when you might go deer hunting and it starts to storm or gets dark on you. You could stay in there and camp out. Perfect location to camp out and won't be bothered

Fix it up down the road! I have seen some amazing school bus renovations! Growing up my dad converted a bus that size and we camped in it. It slept 6 had a bathroom kitchen and dining room table. We pulled our boat to the lake with it! Great memories!💞

I laughed when Brandy screamed. Sorry. IF you keep the bus, gut it and pressure wash it inside and out. It would make a cute little cabin, sleeping area for the girls or playhouse. Or it could be turned into a chicken coop or something. When I first saw it, I was reminded of the Partridge Family bus. lol Definitely keep the tub. If you don't use it as a tub, it could be repurposed for something. Most of the stuff inside the bus is just garbage. There may be a treasure or two. Are you planning to leave the trailer/camper there? You haven't really said what you have planned, but I got the idea that you liked that location for a cabin for when you're on the property. So much potential for the property. I like it.

Oh my word🤣🤣🤣🤣 the faucet knobs at 16:39 on the hoses in the engine! That is too funny. Those old timers knew how to make things work ,with the stuff that they had available at the time. That's why they saved everything. They could repurpose old parts and fix stuff up.
Once it is cleaned out, I bet it's not as bad as it looks filled with trash. Old buses are really cool! I vote to repurpose it. You might need it for a refuge if storms catch you out there, until you have a better place. Some hunter might want it for a hunting camp, If you just want it gone.

I’d fix it up the bus for the girls, camping/deer hunting, etc. There is some families that have gutted a bus and made a camper out of it. Perhaps to raise the tiny fish in it till your ready to add them to your pond ... or to raise the tiny fish from amazon till ready to stock your stream just keep adding baby fish you want to add to your efforts to stock your stream or cleaning station put buy the cleaned out bus and then rent it out to fishermen or hunters or visitors ...Im just trying to suggest ideas if worst comes to worse ... they sell at high prices they are really popular with the next builders or interior decoraters ...I just love you guys from an old lady in Northern Alberta Canada

Please don't be such a hurry to dump things...I used to clear out old houses, sheds, barns, standing farm buildings...you would be surprised what treasures could be found...they use to hide small pistols inside hollowed-out Bibles...and some hoarders put dollar bills or higher in-between book pages...don't always assume it's just junk...good luck. Wear a mask and gloves however..
Get a couple kiddie pools for wash & rinse for the dishes, mugs, cups, etc. Dawn dish soap should be safe out there. Maybe use a few buckets of water from the creek initially.
Oh, I wish I lived near by you!!! I would definitely volunteer to clear that bus out and then clean it up for you. My wish is to someday start a business of going through, clearing out and cleaning up old and abandoned properties for folks.
For bus builds you might want to check out Issac's channel, A Bus Life Story or Jaylena's channel, Leave Her Wild. Issac remodels school buses for a living and is now doing one to live in with Jaylena and their baby daughter, Ember. I doubt someone would want to put a motor in your bus because it's extremely expensive and something Issac just had to do on the bus he's finishing to live in right now. But you could clean it out, build it into a 'house' and rent it out as an AirBnB but Brandy is wrong, you would need some sort of bathroom facilities like a nature's head toilet. Good luck with your plans, and wear a mask with a ventilator before you go back inside.

It’s also very difficult to be connected to that situation, as they were, and not for anything even other then curiosity, to check in every now and then to see whats happening with another channel. In the past they have mentioned in passing that they do watch or are aware of whats happening with others. This property purchase, although it fills a dream, its also for content to expand their TH-cam. To do this and be able to write the property off as a business expense, they will need to expand into other types of TH-cam channels. From a business view and to grow, its almost required. To make the bridge, inviting another channel in from a different genre would be important. There are many Nomads out there who build out buses and travel. I would think, before saying anything about building out the bus they already had plan. They rarely say or expose something that isn’t already planned out. Example the movement of the shed and how that was shown and worded. I do agree with you that it would be fun to see Jaylena and Issac, maybe even Levi out there exploring and enjoying life, while supplementing income with a bus clear out or build over time like they are doing with Randy. We both agree and would hope that something like that would work out. It might be good for both sides. However, we don’t know everything, only what we are allowed to see and know from all involved. Remember Sean and Brandy were the ones who started the conferences showing and teaching others the importance of all this. The business aspect behind all this is fascinating. As is the human behavior of the channel creators. It’s a great experiment to watch how they calculate their moves and either advance or become stagnant. Which ones maintain humility and which one like to verbally beat up and threaten their watchers. I only hope for them that they don’t loose their focus and continue to only do whats healthy for their family.

They shared their family finances and why they do many of the things they do. It’s a huge part of their lives and needs to be recognized, as should they for their accomplishments with the channel. Yes, it’s fun to watch and learn from them on the homestead. But they are also sharing a huge portion and lesson in the business side of their lives. Which truly needs to be respected and acknowledged.

That motor in the tub goes to a old metal meat slicer like for deli meat. I have one I bought from Ebay. They were made back in the late 60's early 70's. My grandmother had one for years so I decided to buy one and its been very handy to have!
Wow! If you don’t want the old iron tub you can sell that thing to somebody for their farmhouse bathroom! I love them especially with the silver or gold feet. Just rent a dumpster, fill it up and the company will come back and get it. I think you have about 10 days or so to fill them up. Y’all are gonna be busy for sure. If I were y’all I would build myself a house there on this land with the creek and put my cabins (along with the house you’re building now, it can be the store where you check in and buy camping supplies and stuff!) That’s just a thought I had.😊
Repurpose the bus and make it a cute little place to stay! When I was about 12 my family and I stayed in an old bus that was in the mountains. There was an outside shed with just a roof over it and they had an old iron cook stove there. My mom cooked our breakfast and coffee there. I still think about that place to this day. We all loved it. I bet there’s some more families out your way that would love it too!

It could be cleaned out - scraped down to bare metal. Then, make it an Off Grid rustic place with a compost toilet so you don't have black water waste. But there are weeks of cleaning everything out, not just days! Good luck with whatever is done.

I laughed when Brandy screamed. Sorry. IF you keep the bus, gut it and pressure wash it inside and out. It would make a cute little cabin, sleeping area for the girls or playhouse. Or it could be turned into a chicken coop or something. When I first saw it, I was reminded of the Partridge Family bus. lol Definitely keep the tub. If you don't use it as a tub, it could be repurposed for something. Most of the stuff inside the bus is just garbage. There may be a treasure or two.
Are you planning to leave the trailer/camper there? You haven't really said what you have planned, but I got the idea that you liked that location for a cabin for when you're on the property. So much potential for the property. I like it.
Loved watching you and Brandi going through the bus. Might find something worth keeping if you dig deeper. I would keep the claw foot tub. But like you said there's things others might keep but Y'all wouldn't. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.

I was in the antique business and went to many auctions and certainly enjoyed this scavenger hunt! There are people out there that will redo this bus n live in it. Also that porch is sellable! Thanks for the fun!

Oh my word🤣🤣🤣🤣 the faucet knobs at 16:39 on the hoses in the engine! That is too funny. Those old timers knew how to make things work ,with the stuff that they had available at the time. That's why they saved everything. They could repurpose old parts and fix stuff up.
Once it is cleaned out, I bet it's not as bad as it looks filled with trash. Old buses are really cool!

You might need it for a refuge if storms catch you out there, until you have a better place.
Some hunter might want it for a hunting camp, If you just want it gone.

Once you guys get the time to go through the bus and camper I think you’ll find some good treasures! You might be surprised where you find what. I’d fix it up the bus for the girls, camping/deer hunting, etc. There is some families that have gutted a bus and made a camper out of it. I’ve seen their content but I can’t think of their name right now.

I enjoy the anticipation of what you might find going through old buildings/structures. I'd want to repurpose that tub, for sure. As far as the bus goes, it would be neat to clean it all out and use it as a cabin of sorts, but it would be a lot of work.

Perhaps to raise the tiny fish in it till your ready to add them to your pond ... or to raise the tiny fish from amazon till ready to stock your stream just keep adding baby fish you want to add to your efforts to stock your stream or cleaning station put buy the cleaned out bus and then rent it out to fishermen or hunters or visitors ...Im just trying to suggest ideas if worst comes to worse ... they sell at high prices they are really popular with the next builders or interior decoraters ...I just love you guys from an old lady in Northern Alberta Canada

I snort laughed a couple times on this one! 😂 Our new property came with an old bus too, although not as many treasures in ours. I'd love to clean it up and turn it into guest quarters or air bnb.
I can see why the fellow are Dutch's family love the property that is the kind of place the peace and quiet this place offers most people look for their whole life. It was a fad to turn a bus into a camper RV
Please don't be such a hurry to dump things...I used to clear out old houses, sheds, barns, standing farm buildings...you would be surprised what treasures could be found...they use to hide small pistols inside hollowed-out Bibles...and some hoarders put dollar bills or higher in-between book pages...don't always assume it's just junk...good luck.

Get a couple kiddie pools for wash & rinse for the dishes, mugs, cups, etc. Dawn dish soap should be safe out there. Maybe use a few buckets of water from the creek initially.
Oh, I wish I lived near by you!!! I would definitely volunteer to clear that bus out and then clean it up for you.
My wish is to someday start a business of going through, clearing out and cleaning up old and abandoned properties for folks.

For bus builds you might want to check out Issac's channel, A Bus Life Story or Jaylena's channel, Leave Her Wild. Issac remodels school buses for a living and is now doing one to live in with Jaylena and their baby daughter, Ember. I doubt someone would want to put a motor in your bus because it's extremely expensive and something Issac just had to do on the bus he's finishing to live in right now. But you could clean it out, build it into a 'house' and rent it out as an AirBnB but Brandy is wrong, you would need some sort of bathroom facilities like a nature's head toilet. Good luck with your plans, and wear a mask with a ventilator before you go back inside.

It’s also very difficult to be connected to that situation, as they were, and not for anything even other then curiosity, to check in every now and then to see whats happening with another channel. In the past they have mentioned in passing that they do watch or are aware of whats happening with others.
This property purchase, although it fills a dream, its also for content to expand their TH-cam. To do this and be able to write the property off as a business expense, they will need to expand into other types of TH-cam channels. From a business view and to grow, its almost required. To make the bridge, inviting another channel in from a different genre would be important. There are many Nomads out there who build out buses and travel. I would think, before saying anything about building out the bus they already had plan. They rarely say or expose something that isn’t already planned out. Example the movement of the shed and how that was shown and worded.
I do agree with you that it would be fun to see Jaylena and Issac, maybe even Levi out there exploring and enjoying life, while supplementing income with a bus clear out or build over time like they are doing with Randy. We both agree and would hope that something like that would work out. It might be good for both sides. However, we don’t know everything, only what we are allowed to see and know from all involved. Remember Sean and Brandy were the ones who started the conferences showing and teaching others the importance of all this. The business aspect behind all this is fascinating. As is the human behavior of the channel creators. It’s a great experiment to watch how they calculate their moves and either advance or become stagnant. Which ones maintain humility and which one like to verbally beat up and threaten their watchers.
I only hope for them that they don’t loose their focus and continue to only do whats healthy for their family.

I just want the best for Jaylena, Issac, Ember, Brandy and Dutch They all seem to be good people, business plans aside, I enjoy watching their videos and seeing how others from different areas live their lives. If my viewing their videos help their bottom line through TH-cam, great.
@@francescampbell4731 Again, Totally agree. Remember Sean and Brandi, and others, have shared with their viewers the strategic maneuvers they are applying to make their channels grow. They shared their family finances and why they do many of the things they do. It’s a huge part of their lives and needs to be recognized, as should they for their accomplishments with the channel. Yes, it’s fun to watch and learn from them on the homestead. But they are also sharing a huge portion and lesson in the business side of their lives. Which truly needs to be respected and acknowledged.

I think you need to strip the bus down and keep it. Girls paint it pink and put a canopy on the front. Fix the inside retro. So many things to do with it. Look on Pinterest for ideas. Good luck guys with what ever you do.

Yes get a dumpster & clean it out. Wear gloves, masks & have hand sanitizer. The clawfoot tub should be worth $400.00 +. I do love going through stuff like y'all are doing & no I've never kept much from doing that, but you never know what treasure you may find.
That motor in the tub goes to a old metal meat slicer like for deli meat. I have one I bought from Ebay. They were made back in the late 60's early 70's. My grandmother had one for years so I decided to buy one and its been very handy to have!

Wow! If you don’t want the old iron tub you can sell that thing to somebody for their farmhouse bathroom! I love them especially with the silver or gold feet. Just rent a dumpster, fill it up and the company will come back and get it. I think you have about 10 days or so to fill them up. Y’all are gonna be busy for sure.
If I were y’all I would build myself a house there on this land with the creek and put my cabins (along with the house you’re building now, it can be the store where you check in and buy camping supplies and stuff!) That’s just a thought I had.😊

Repurpose the bus and make it a cute little place to stay! When I was about 12 my family and I stayed in an old bus that was in the mountains. There was an outside shed with just a roof over it and they had an old iron cook stove there. My mom cooked our breakfast and coffee there. I still think about that place to this day. We all loved it. I bet there’s some more families out your way that would love it too!

It could be cleaned out - scraped down to bare metal. Then, make it an Off Grid rustic place with a compost toilet so you don't have black water waste. But there are weeks of cleaning everything out, not just days! Good luck with whatever is done.
