    Looks great Luie. I was getting nervous when you mentioned how thin it was. But this turned out to be a real winner. I really like how the feature ring looks. It just pops with the choices of wood you used.

    Looks good. I try sketching the basic design on graph paper just so I have at least a little roadmap of where I want to end up. Doesn’t always happen but that’s the beauty of woodturning. Design on the fly.

    You make it look so easy. I have yet to try segmenting. I see you are using carbide. Any particular reason? Is it easier on segments?

      I go back and forth between carbide and traditional
      Guess whatever I feel will work best at that moment

    Looks great Luie. Everyone has boo boos, it’s what you do afterwards that makes up for it. And yours turned out wonderful.
