I bought one from Blackpool Air Rifles, now they sell some really serious and expensive air guns but even the chaps there stated these guns are serious fun and great for garden shooting so i got one and you and they were quite correct....fantastic bit of kit ❤
Yeah airguns are incredibly expensive now, I'd love the Daystate Red Wolf Safari but the price..
I like the sound of pistol being placed in and removed from the holster.

Oh dear, that just looks a silly amount of fun....
I turned my hdr50 into a powerhouse carbine running on 3000psi hpa with 1100 output. That thing is no joke...huge fan of the TR line. Great review Andy 🫡
Well, I hope you live in the States or you could get into serious trouble. Regardless of my opinion on the wisdom of that law, it IS a law and the Police don't usually have a sense of humour about 'firearms'.
Forget the TR50 - umarex release a .50 TFE Glock 17.
The .43 version is already incredible, but if they released and updated version with the same rounds and power of the TR50s it would blow it out of the water.
the glock is a paintball marker though whereas the TR50 is an airgun , paintball guns require a ukpsf membership and airguns dont

Yeah I've got a pair of the PPQ's, they're awesome.
I have the HDR 50 and it is superb, however, any enhancements can only improve it further. Great guns, well made and I would never have purchased one had it not been for AAR.

Did I notice just a couple of errrrs towards the ammo price being a little more than we're used to paying ? Mind you the unit cost of the revolver is exceptionally good value.

Just to underline what Andy said, and add a little extra context, the 11J version requires a s.5 license. What does that mean? Well, it means that if you had an 11J version and no s.5 license the penalty is a minimum of 5 years in prison. In case you were wondering "but I thought it was the legal version" is NOT a defence.

Correct. I notice you correctly said it would be section 5 oppose to Banned which would be incorrect. However I'm not sure of any reason why someone would need a section 5 paint ball marker.
@@vobchopperNot at all. A s.5 firearm is a s.5 firearm. If you are referring to whether the type of ammunition effects muzzle energy, then yes it does, but forensics labs test fire with a variety of ammunition and the test is whether it is capable of a muzzle energy greater than 6 ft.lbs, not whether it is so with your ammunition.
You are not getting 5 years in prison for owning this without a license…

Please don’t be fooled by how bright the fiber optic sights look during the day. In a home defence low light scenario only precharged tritium sights will glow if you don’t have a seriously bright flashlight mounted on the gun like a TLR1 HL or an Olight PL Pro.
i love my hdr 50 gen 2 , first hdr that i get was 68 cal now i really need something smaller for protection but power enough , i need 20-30 joules power on hdr 50 gen 1 , but i buy myself gen 2 because i really like the upgrades that model has , like i wear glasses and i like green sight
I'll stick to my python 357 :) but i do enjoy your channel ,some of the air rifles are stunning

UMAREX: always making quite good air guns. Mine is the Tornado (you know it by BRODAX) .177 CO2. The small TR50 cousin ... 🙂 Anyway, very good revolver (sort of) and despite it shoots iron BBs, must say very good accuracy ... !
I have the full custom 20-30 jule depending on amp. And I load mine with 9mm amo. Man it’s good to be in the USA also try the hdx shotgun he has it in the background it’s awesome

They are pretty loud, much more than any conventional airgun I've ever shot
Very loud I fired mine 3 times since I bought a gen 1 2 years ago sounds like a real gun. Don't fancy armed police turning up 😮

The 11 Joules Revolver Chrono's at 345-360 FPS standard 7 Joules is 300 FPS 🤔
Why can’t you just slightly untwist the striker to release the co2?

But with the holster, you cannot add a laser or anything else.. is there a different hostler...soft etc ?
Try the Modern Combat Sports holster, it's designed to take a laser flashlight on the bottom rail. I bought one for mine and it's top quality.
Just wish it was easier to open the release...its quite small for big fingers or no nails... wished there was something to go over it for a extra 2-3mm etc
I tried a paint ball in the 68 pump gun with 45j, don’t do that it exploded inside. What a mess;)
What distance were your targets ?
The only problems I find with this range is they are just a little too loud for backyard plinking, that and you have to look out for rebounding ammunition 😂.

They are legal as far as I’m aware with frangible ammo. Lots on paintball fields for a fact.
@@algray9966It looks to me you're in a massively grey area with the 11J version. There is Home Office “Guidance” (Note: Guidance is NOT the Law) that seems to suggest that as long as you use it with frangible ammo it's all great, but the moment you put a rubber ball in it you are now in possession of a S5 firearm and looking at jail time. That's clearly a ridiculous position.
Personally I'd stay well clear of the 11J version, even if people seem to be selling it.

No, not with the changes i've made to my Gen 1, it puts out over 40J with the steel core rubberballs.

Probably because he does not want to be arrested. Defending yourself from assault using weapons might be legal depending on the circumstances but preparing for being assaulted with weapons is not. His early comment about keeping it loaded in a bedside cabinet was unwise.
I wouldn’t count on it. Check out Houston jones he just did a video on less than lethal pistol 🔫 and it did some pretty good bruises n broke the skin a lil Pepper rounds woukd prob by u some time yo get away. The one he tested was 36 Jules well that’s what the website advertised
