I just used a MHQJRH M.2 2280 SSD heatsink, Double-Sided Heat Sink, with Thermal Silicone pad for PS5 and a 4TB ADATA - XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 4TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4 on my PS5. I did not like the one sided Heatsink for PS5 that came with ADATA - XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 4TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 4 x4.
Hey. I messed this up at first. The ps5 slim slot looks a little different than the ps5 old. I stuck the thermal shield on the wrong side, when I realized, I took it off and put it on the right side, but this took the sticker off the other side. Do I need to replace that?
So long as it’s functional you will be ok, the sticker on the other side shouldn’t matter so long as the heat sink has good contact to the correct side. I think the sticker is more of a warranty thing and also to stop you from putting the heat shield on the wrong side. I hope it is working for you now!
