@@Mendaxium have you tried running it without the battery and just on mains power? Do you have any sound or just the green light? Does it turn itself off after a short time?

Thanks I might give that one a go, the frame stuttering did make it tricky for me on this one but I still enjoyed it

@@MjdJdjsh once you install CFW it should create the folders but if not just add it yourself on the pc just right click, new folder and call it ISO. I can’t tell you where to get the games exactly but if you google cd romance it should show up

It will match the name of your save data. So long as you have at least one save file for the game you can search the memory card in the save data for the possible serial numbers and look for a match

Yes this works for genuine copies of the game via UMD or for backups on custom firmware all the same

@@Fawgno have you checked the power fuse? Do you have a multimeter? Has it ever turned on? Do you have a genuine charger? Let me know let’s try work it out :)

@@Aseer9 are you using a .cso or .iso? Try to find a different source for the rom, sometimes downloads can be glitchy, I might have a working copy that I can host, if I find it I will come back and share link here 🔗 👌🏼

@@iohhhmvibe thanks for your comment mate, I agree there are definitely some titles that have low volume, you can play around with the audio settings in handbrake trying a different codec or bitrate but I haven’t tried this, or on the psp itself use mono audio or left or right only, sometimes the Doppler effect actually cancels out some frequencies. I have noticed this also some high quality movies when compressing the audio does reduce the volume, I personally just use headphones anyway so it’s not much of a problem or if I really wanna go hard out I use my Bluetooth speaker that has a headphone audio input and just plug it in to that and blast it as loud as I want :) thank you for your comment and sorry I don’t have a clear answer. The little psp speakers are trying their best to capture a very wide dynamic range, it’s different to umd movies where the audio track is remastered specifically to suit the range and impedance of the psp speakers, our process here is taking files that were never intended for psp and then mashing them into the right shape to work. It’s a feat of computing to get it in the right format in the first place 🤩

I can tell you actually played these with your mates as the list is varied. 👍 Check those IGN / mainstream lists of the top PSP games and they're ALL the same. Not even a Badman game in sight! 👿 ... Criminal!

@@GoatSauceGod it’s been used almost daily since launch, it goes on the genuine charging dock, and we usually play games with full haptics, the battery just crapped out! Luckily the new one has great battery life.

​@@EverythingPSPOfficial I have the same issue with multiple controllers and also use the official ps5 charging dock. Do you suspect the charging dock is at fault due to overcharging the controllers and wrecking the battery life? That's what some people on reddit suggest.

@ yes I use the charging dock and I think the first generation of controllers seem to be affected by the issue more, I believe that’s that some of the controller software updates were for to eliminate this issue by using smarter charging controls, but I do think it’s bad to leave it on the dock for extended amounts of time, for me once they’re charged I take them off the dock and leave them as they are, kinda defeats the purpose but yes unfortunately I don’t think the docks are super healthy for the controllers, might be something to do with the amperage I’m really not sure, could also be a correlation not causation thing as many without the dock also experience this issue regardless.

@@Rotoms. the way games run natively on psp is really good, it’s the best way to play them on either a psp1000 with an IPS screen upgrade or a standard PSP3000. It’s totally up to you, the vita is great but the PSP is a great piece of history that has its own strengths, especially if you get into collecting UMDs, but I find SD cards full of games are a super easy thing to do, the CFW is also stupid easy to install and tweak, I’d say if you find a good deal for a good one on the cheap then go for it but if not then just enjoy adrenaline emulation on the vita

@@dmo848 I’m sure you could find this exact battery on AliExpress or similar, it’s nothing too fancy but it did the trick! I was lucky that the place I found online was only about 20mins from my house!

@@EverythingPSPOfficial I think TH-cam deleted my comment. You can still get all of the games there for now, but for h*cked/p*tched roms, you have to go to his repository, which requires a registration. Just use a fake email as you don't need to confirm your registration.

@@rjbermudo does it get into the XMB? Do you have anything on the screen or just the green light? If it doesn’t actually boot then it’s bricked. If you get to the XMB before it shuts off it could be a bad memory card or battery. Did you install custom firmware? Have you tried turning it on with no battery and just the charger, also try removing the memory card and then turning it on.

Well if I think the xmb is what I think it is it makes a sound then flashes a green light then poof it's off and those things you said don't work

@EverythingPSPOfficial nvr it doesn't work I tried to tell my parents to buy me one but they said its expensive(the psp is from my cousin it's really old)so ig il never get a psp I was really excited to get it but when it arrived it didn't work so I came to you and it doesn't work.I guess im never gonna experience the joys of have a PSP thanks for your help though

@ so you tried starting it without battery or memory card or umd inserted yeah? Have you tried holding all the x o triangle square buttons and start and select together while turning it on? Have you tried holding the power switch down for 30s turning on and then again turning off? You can probably use a Pandora battery to reinstall firmware but it could also be a fault with the motherboard, unless you take the psp apart and check it with a multimeter there’s not much else you can do.

@ why not use an emulator then like PPSSPP it’s free and you can do it on your phone or PC

Are you running CFW? What is your clock speed? Are they cso, iso or eboot roms? What psp do you have? How is your battery life? Let me know I’ll see if I can help. Have you checked your sd card is not faulty / too low class? You need a class 10 high transfer rate SD card for it to work properly

@@DiyaJeewan does the console turn on at all? Could be a battery issue, have you tried following the guide to remove the battery and try turning it on with just the charger? Are you using a genuine charger? I’ll try help you as much as I can

@EverythingPSPOfficial I'm trying to think what's the issue fair enough I put it to charge after 7 years But the 2nd time I kept it on charge i kept on trying to put it on it came on after a few attempts and then just went off The 3rd time I put it to charge absolutely nothing

No, they are similar but not physically identical and you will have fitment issues without modifying the shell. The ribbon cables may also not match depending on what version you have.

no they are unique to the psp street and are slimmer than the other models, the only things that are interchangeable are the d pad, face buttons and joystick cap

@@little_pikmin good luck doing anything useful with a Sony psp’s MAC address without being on my local network or close enough to my router to attempt a breach! I guess you could monitor my traffic if it wasn’t 802.11b and always offline
