Fact: we have to learn to listen to the voice within. I always knew my ex wasn't the one but we loved each other and eventually after almost a decade of being together we got married. Needless to say it din't last. When I met my current love it was instantaneous. I knew early on some would say too early that this was the person I wanted to love, marry and raise children with. It is true. When you know you just do. If you don't then perhaps that's a sign too. I have found that people try to talk themselves into things despite clearly knowing when someone is wrong for them. Don't forget we all deserve a chance at the kind of love that is once in a lifetime. Don't sell yourself short. It isn't fair to yourself or your partner.

Steve get an Indian on this. Cause we have arranged marriages all the time! And those marriages are there for a looooonnnnnggggg time. It's not about how long you get to know a person for, it's about being able to love their good and bad. There is a strict difference between love and passion. Passion is short-term and love is long term and requires humility. If passion is what ones looking for, that person is not ready for marriage.

Several men i dated for over a year i thought i wanted to continue but they were terrible, awful people... my husband and I knew the first date. We told each other we loved each other and knew that was it. If you’ve been dating 3-6 months and think you don’t know someone at all... you’re lost. Husband and I have been together going on 11 years and its just gotten stronger. 3 kids, never a boring moment. More peace and stability than i have ever known with anyone else. No guesswork, no questions, no confusion (yes i want to strangle him sometimes like any other couple out there), talk about it communicate. We’ve learned things we didnt know at the start, but we committed early and stuck with it. It’s worth it. When you find the right one. We moved in a couple months after we start dating. Got married 10 months after we met. Had our oldest 9 months later. Still no doubt about it he is my best friend and we are still crazy about each other. He’s the one i lean on and I’m the one he leans on. It hasnt been perfect. We have had several crossroads at times and what we felt like was the final straw, but when it’s meant to be, you keep getting through it somehow someway cause it’s both people in it to win it. It has to be.
I still will never forget meeting his cousin the day after our first date and he told him in front of me “this is it, we are going to be together and long long time” ☺️. The next day i was in the truck with him and he was on the phone with his mom telling her all about me and how much he liked me (even though we’d already said i love you 🤣). Feels like yesterday. And I can’t believe it’s been as long as it has. It flew by in a blink.

Six months is enough time to pick up on someone' patterns in life! Because there could be words...there could be actions but the most important is pattern...you would not STOP learning about someone even after you've been married for years and years...matter of fact, you've got to keep paying attention to your spouse even after youve been married for a while... however the true main values and patterns from someone's life, I think you can pick up in 6 months....have to be really attentive...

Note that I’m not saying jobless, or cannot take care of himself with what he makes.

We both knew maybe the second/third time we spent time together that this was different and after 6 months we knew for sure we wanted to spend our lives together. Prior to me, he was in a relationship for 4 years and he never felt the want/need to further the relationship and never felt certainty to commit his life to this person. Doing what's right regardless of how you feel is the recipe for success. Too many people misprioritize in their marriages. If you are a career women and love what you do and put it first on your list then you'll make a horrible wife. Same for a man as a husband.
It takes time to figure it all out too, but if you are truly loyal and faithful to Elohim you will succeed guaranteed. I think people in general are too selfish/paranoid today and that's why marriages fail so much. No faith in God/Elohim and all faith is really in themselves.

But if your with each other all the time then absolutely yes that’s enough time. Also, these women did not understand the question. Just because you start to think about marriage at six months does not mean your getting engaged and married right away. Plenty of people know and still wait a while before asking

The answer in my opinion is that it is called being a player and just wanting to keep your as an option until he finds someone better just seeing if the grass is greener on the other side . Playing games shows that he doesn't even know what he really wants. Ladies do not fall the hoovering which is appearing and dissapearing as he likes this is calling using narcissistic techniques. Do not go on long term relationships with your bf if you want to marry , you will face a lot of problems cause honeymoon sparks will go away. But Marriage and children will make your relationship better cause now it's not about passion. It's a partnership commitment that you both will honor.

I agree with Steve, 6 months is enough time to get to know someone and decide if he/she is the right one for you. Also you can feel it the love and the happiness they bring for your life the time you been dating.

Just to add to my earlier comment, some people have knowm each other for years and still dont know each other, so its not really about the timelength. Forever is not always a long time, forever can be the next two months, one week. Life can be short. We dont know how much time we have left, so if you know then go for it!!

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hate how Steve always talks about how most men think, but he's on his 3rd wife. A wife who has a questionable past and apparently an insatiable thirst for men with money.....

GEM BELL I often question why he thinks he has any credibility when it comes to marriage

Depends on the couple though. I was with my husband a year and got married after 10 months of engagement. I think he knew early I was for him but it took a little longer for me.

That is actually the timeline most people marry though within 2 yrs or so. At least you did not date 10 yrs get married then divorced after only 1 year like some of these comments stated.

diamonte, it's like Steve said we/men usually know. The reason your husband hung in there even when you were unsure is because he knew. He wasn't going anywhere.😂

I think it depends on the person because you can date someone for 10 years and don’t know them too. I know people that married in less than six months and have successful marriages, they’ve been married for over 30 years they just knew it was right. Sometimes you can’t put a time limit on love, I believe you will know what’s right for you.

every love story is different some people date for years and break up and others marry in few months after meeting i don't think there's a time line for these things ... when you know you know lol

My husband asked me to marry him after 5 months of dating. We will celebrate our 1yr anniversary in a couple of weeks 🥰 i feel maturity and age played major factors in our decision to marry quickly plus the stars were aligned ✨

How in the world would you need 6 months if someone is the one. I am sorry but that is to damn long. How slow of a mind do you have to be needing 6 full month to know someone. Daymn. Young people have to much time, so they think. Until they are 50 and still have no one.

I think Steve wanted to say immediately... once a man prepares himself for his potential wife.. he's ready for marriage for the long-haul... but Steve didn't want to seem like he was "reaching" to cater to his audience. But, in all honesty men know right away in that moment while he's pursing his potential wife.

correct me if I'm wrong but Steve and some of the panelist have been married multiple times is that correct? so that means that they once knew that they had the right person? but obviously that didn't workout... so what makes it different the second or third time around that they now are so sure they know someone enough to marrying them after 6 months? not criticizing I'm just asking 🤔

Your missing the point entirely. Nothing is guaranteed in this life, but that doesn’t mean a person can’t know that someone is for them after 6 months. If a woman can screw a man after one night and Know they are not the one so why can’t a man or woman know after 6 months that the person is the one for them?
