I love the portability of my iPhone on my gimbal, I’ve been working with that for years and recently with the DJI Mic attached, but it’s been time to upgrade the quality of my images. So this weekend I finally got the FX30 with a 15mm f1.4 prime lens! Can’t wait to start using this setup; it’ll still be portable!
I had been saving for a new M1 Mac Studio but later decided upgrading to better image quality is more important right now.

Considering your working with footage from an iPhone, If the main reason your getting a Mac Studio is editing that content then you probably be pretty well off with an m2 mini, of course I have no doubt you've done your research and know what best for you.

The S5iix was super tempting, but not tempting enough to make me return the S5 I bought on sale less than a week before it was rumored or announced. B&H had it at $500 off *with* a free Panasonic S 85mm f/1.8, and the 50mm f/1.8 was on sale for $200 at the same time, so I wasn't about to upsell myself an extra grand just to get the second UHS-ii slot and autofocus upgrade, especially since most of my footage is recorded to an atomos and I set my focus manually anyways. The better HDMI and USB-C ports made that a harder decision, though.

There are surely others like me, who just want a camera to shoot videos of my family for personal use without too much of a hassle, in which case Pocket 2 is the best choice in my opinion.

When I quit drinking I drank a TON of fizzy water. I'd recommend a soda stream but instead of getting their CO2 bottles get an adapter on Amazon for a regular CO2 bottle that you can get at a brewing supply store. Higher cost up front but it pays for itself FAST. Now I only refill once every few months for $13 for a 5lb bottle instead of $15 for like a 20oz bottle.

I just love how much fun it is just watching your videos. I love how fast you talk. Gets me giggling everytime. I use the Samsung galaxy S23 ultra (along with the hohem isteady 6 gimbal) and specifically got it because of the camera. I get superb quality videos and photos. I however would've loved to get a traditional camera. My fear here is, I can't go above £1000 for the camera and lens (and needed any accessories). It would really suck to get a camera who's quality is less than that of my phone. I felt that way when I got the GoPro hero 10 and only kept it because of its durability and stabilization with good lighting. What do you think?

You can throw as much money as you like at trying to be creative and stylish but for people like yourself it’s effortless and priceless. Of course some people will argue creativity and style s subjective, which is a fair and valid argument. What one person finds creative and stylish another may not. But yes in my opinion it’s like learning a new skill there’s no quick fix, just hard work and perseverance!.

Would the display/fake window in the background look more blurred and accurate if the image it's displaying was already blurred beforehand?

Also on the topic of microphones:
Zoom has a new shotgun mic, the mictrak M3.
It fits on your camera like a regular video mic, but it records 32-bit float on its own micro SD.
    PLS take my money already!!
