🔥Take my FREE CAMERA QUIZ to see what camera is right for you on my website.🔥
What is the third camera you use here to record you with the iPhone and Sony together at the beginning of this video????? This third camera is the best in all aspects.
Brasil
Dude , seriously. Shoutout to you for being the first camera person I’ve seen online talk about cameras prices and actually including the price of the lens in your video. It’s soooooo frustrating how most people just skim over that , when they know beginners / people buying there first mirrorless camera have to buy both. You can’t use a camera without a f’n lens.
I agree wholeheartedly
The way you assemble these videos, present the dialogue, and bring in the visuals is so effective at transferring the information to the viewer. A lot of it has to do with your voice - not monotone, not overly enthusiastic, but just nuanced. Thank you for the videos man very helpful. I've watched quite a few and because you find such a balance between not rushing... but not dragging things out... I rarely find myself skipping around the timeline in your vids... usually just start the vid and watch all the way through because your presentation is so good rarely a second is added that is not adding something. Awesome man.
Wow - what an absolute compliment and motivator. Thank you for this encouragement and feedback. I actually have no idea how the average person takes these videos because 99.9% of people comment on the cameras. Thanks again man - It means a lot
I have both the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) and the A6700 - I find both have their time and place to shine in my workflows and both produce great, highly usable footage.
This is a very well done comparison video, I don't understand why it seems so hard for many reviewers to do a logical, practical, comprehensive test like this. Obviously much work went into this, I hope you'll be rewarded with many new subs!
Thanks for the encouragement and compliment on the comparison! Really appreciate it!
Just what I was thinking. You took the words out of my mouth/mind. People can be ambivalent when all most people want to hear is an honest evaluation.....and their preferences or otherwise.👍
really good job man, thanks for your film
This is a masterclass in how to do a Comparison Video - superb thanks for understanding exactly what us viewers want and delivering an engaging and helpful video. It’s an A6700 for me!
I agree! Super detailed comparison. Well done
Dang thank you, means a lot
No really. should have been more log focus
This a great video. What I just heard confirmed my belief that phones, while neat and definitely getting better, still can't compete with a dedicated camera. The amount of image quality loss "if this" or low light struggles "when that just prove that until you can get a bigger sensor in a phone, you'll have to be very smart and on top of your pre production planning to get the shots you want with an iphone.
you sir will be my go to for gear videos. providing real use cases for me is LEAGUES better than typical spec comparison videos. The quality of your videos is insane too. I hope 2024 is the year where your channel exponentially grows
Wow, what a compliment. Thank you for the encouragement and welcome aboard.
This is a great comparison Joe. I like how you compare a lot of different scenarios to make it fair. A lot of TH-camrs make these comparisons and put shots side by side that are very difficult to tell apart (i.e. ideal scenarios for the iPhone). While it is very impressive what you can get out of the small sensors in Phones nowadays, in my opinion the image quality is still much better in a proper camera. You just need to know how to work with it to get most out of it. Watching the video on a high end 4k monitor I could easily tell the cameras apart in your first shots, however this would have probably been a lot more difficult if I watched it on a phone😜. For somebody who simply wants to capture exciting moments but doesn't really want to learn how to use a camera, a phone or an action cam is perfect, but for somebody who wants to learn video and photo properly, I would always recommend something like the A6700 over the iPhone. Also from a lifecycle point of view. If you invest in a A6700, you will very likely still use it and have fun with it in 5 years, but with the iPhone you will have upgraded at least twice in the same timeframe. In my opinion it's also way more fun to work with the A6700 and try out different lenses😉
Also how many years would the a6700 last you for before you needed to upgrade it vs how long people generally replace their phones. I feel like many people get a new phone every 2-3 years but the camera can go way longer. I still have a Nikon d800e in my collection that is like 10 years old at this point that still takes incredible photos. What phone from 10 years ago can still take incredible photos?
I can't agree with you. I have two dslr cams (Nikon, Canon) for professional video creating as a freelancer. I do for my clients videos only using iPhones. Since the iPhones are on this high level my dslrs are catching dust, as the iPhone is way more universal, still the newest firmware (where the firmware on the dslr is outdated on the day you buy it), always the newest hardware using the newest technologies on the market (multiprocessing, DeepFusion Chip, magnetic stabilisation......) instead of a years old dslr with its rusty old technology. With the smaller dimensions you don't need so much space and get in every corner which opens you new filming angles. As you can install various apps you have way more possibilities for creative ways of recording (transfocator, A-to-B roll, multiple focus in Cinema mode, various lens effects and even AI.... you can't do all of this on a dsrl without using heavy and expensive additional eqquipment). And all this with a lightweight device where you don't carry kilograms of weight like by the dslr setups. As the iPhone is waaay much lighter, you don't need heavy big and expensive gimbals and rigs with strong motors who can handle a heavy device. I talked to many of my colleagues and all them agree, that new iphones are on the same quality level like professional cameras (there are plenty Cinema movies recorderd just on iphones, even Apple used only iPhones for their last Keynote).
The only one thing why some of them still using dslrs is the real physical bokeh effect. I am using lenses for iPhone to achieve a physical bokeh effect instead of the software bokeh made by the multi-lens process on the iphone cameras. So from my point of view as a professional, the new iphones brings much more possibilities than the old camera systems, on the same quality level with a better and wider range of usability.
@@wikitheonlyoneIphone is far better to record common videos even in low light as we see during the end of this video due to its audio superiority. Certainly we catch up more noise and artifacts like some artificial luminescence using the iPhone in low light but it is ok to a common video where you don't analyse or expand the matrix of pixels to guess about some particular still image snapshot aspect out from the whole field and video motion. Maybe professional mirrorless cameras are better than Premium smartphones in telephoto situations, kinematic (cinema simulation) or other very special cases like self video log or other very special environments where you need changing lenses.

Great video, thank you very much. Are you planning on reviewing the new DJI Pocket 3?
I have a lumix s5 II but I watched this video from start to finish because of how good it is! Great job!
This guy is very informative.,Very articulate, love how you break things down man!!
Truly outstanding work. 1 of those videos I come across once in a while that really stands out from the rest in a clear, in depth and unbiased way. I'm just starting to think a lot more seriously about travel photography and it's a minefield trying to navigate towards gear that I know will help me get there without either breaking the bank, or frustrating me too much to make it fun, but this helps me greatly to put things into perspective, both from gear to potentially use and apps and software to make the images much better. Thank you.
Yes, its cool how we are all in the same boat learning as we go. Thanks for the comment.
This is hands down the best camera comparison video I've seen. So often youtubers talk about spec sheets or do pixel peeping comparisons when none of that matters in the real world for an average user.
As a beginner who wants to make a purchasing decision, all I want to see is a side by side comparison of typical shooting scenarios that highlight the strengths and weaknesses of both cameras.
My only suggestion is to call out when you're shooting pro-res log vs not (or alternatively just show all footage as log since that's the best footage you can squeeze from the phone!)
Thank you! I’m happy that translated. Great point on listing whether it’s s-log or ProRes. I’ll do that moving forward. Thanks again for the kind words
at 16:16 the iphone footage suddenly becomes completely yellow
Great comparison. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video… in fact, all of your videos. I, like so many creators, am asked to do social media videos for clients, and particularly when shooting vertical for instagram, the social media platforms compress the hell out of the footage which we all know. So, I have been using 1080 for vertical content and no one can tell the difference. So, this leads me to my question: could you do a video with the a6700 1080p 120frames? I shoot with the A7RV, and want to buy the a6700, but would like to see the 1080 120 first. My thinking may be incorrect, but theory is that the 1080 doesn’t have the crop, so whilst its line skipped or binned, it’s not cropping in like crazy as the 4K does, which in turn should in theory let in more light. Could you do this test? 4K 120 VS 1080 120? I fully expect the image to be softer with the 1080, but if we don’t have to deal with the crop or the noise, for instagram, it maybe good to use from the a6700.
Thank you in advance.
I can deeply fell that your a good person, sharing passionate content about wath you love ! God bless your for that and your kindness. Happy new year to you and the ones that you love !
Greetings from Paris !
Wow thank you for that kind compliment!
Love the video! Great comparison.
Great and very comprehensive comparison, ending with solid recommendation when to use which camera. thanks a lot
Fantastic video with excellent and detailed comparison. Amazing work. 👍
Thank you. That’s so kind of you. I really love making these vids so it’s a win-win
Hey super informative video! I had a quick question about exposure settings in the black magic camera app. I’m trying to shoot some video on an iPhone XS to get my kids at a playground or something. When it’s sunny out it seems that the aperture is fixed at f1.8 and the ISO drops to 25 but it’s still too bright so it’ll increase the shutter speed to like 1/120 or faster to expose the shot. I’m trying to shoot 4K30 so 1/120 wrecks my motion blur. Is there anyway to fix this without going out and getting an ND filter or something for iPhone?
I also have an R6 that I shoot with and I use a BMPCC at my church. So I was excited to try the BMC app on my phone and not take my R6 out all the time. But I’m not sure if I can solve this…how do you shoot video on iPhone in broad daylight?
Nice video!
You may want to use a de-esser in your audio ❤
I started my vdo journey on iPhone14PM. It is really easy to use for a beginner like me who only films family stuffs and travel vdo. After a year of learning and practicing, I reached the point where I understand a lot better of the limitation of the iPhone14PM. I decided to buy A6700 and now come to a realization as to why a phone will never beat a good camera. For sure A6700 (or any other good camera) is a lot harder to deal with especially the stabilization when shooting b-roll handheld. I will never be able to get the same smooth VDO as I would with the iPhone14PM but I have also seen handheld slightly shaky b-roll vdo that looks very nice and engaging filmed on a real camera too so I guess I have to keep practicing.
Well said, I agree with everything you said. You could use both for different applications
thanks for the comparisons 😍😍..i pick up the a6700.
Thanks for the review. Please tell me what to choose? Lumix S5, A6700, iPhone 15pro? For shooting video for TH-cam at home, static. What would be a beautiful picture and well blurred background. Sorry I write through the translator
Joe, a crazy amount of work went into this video. Super video
I'm starting a new video podcast channel to run alongside my main channel and I need another camera for it
I'm currently using a Sony a7iv and have the older Sony Zv1.
I need to get another camera for the podcast and had also considered the a6700 as it also has something the a7iv doesn't have and that's 4k 120p.
The overheating worries me a little and I'm leaning towards FX30, but I really miss the product showcase mode that the Sony Zv1 had
So I'm also thinking that the Sony ZV-E1 would be a good choice as it also has 4k 120. I'm very conflicted right now and could do with your advice?
What would you recommend for podcast work and something that will shoot 4k 120p?
I’d go with the FX30 because of the internal fan. Doing long takes like that will require a big amount of internal cooling. The worst feeling in the world is seeing that heat warming because your workflow just stops. I hope this helps and thanks for the kind words brother!
@@thefilmalliance thank you Joe
Great Review! It helps a lot. very professional
2 minutes into your video and I already know I’m gonna like it 👌🏼
Great video man. Do u have any video where u compared the Sony a6400 with a6700 ?
A very professional comparison video, great job!
Yes, its cool how we are all in the same boat learning as we go. Thanks for the comment.
Fantastic video as usual. The work you put into your videos really shows. Very informative and high quality.
I borrowed the a6700 at a recent Sony event and shot some test footage. I have the FX30, and I was looking at the a6700 as a possible b-cam. Suffice it to say, if I didn't have the FX30, I would buy the a6700 first. The test footage I shot was incredible. I shot in both 800 ISO and 2500 ISO. Both were very clean and the colors were great.
Thanks again for an incredible comparison video.
Thank you, I’m happy you pick up on that. I enjoy it. That’s cool you got to use the a6700. Maybe a good Bcam?
@@thefilmalliance Definitely a good b-cam. Even as a back up cam as well. Plus, the framing feature that follows you would be great for my one man short story films.
Yes exactly!
@@thefilmalliance please make the same comparison with Pixel 7 pro🙏🏻
Thanks for you job. Could you tell which video editor you use to edit S LOG 3?
I've watched your video where you compare the Canon M50 mark II and then Sony A6400, and the other video comparing the ZV-E10 and the A6400. I really liked you video, throrough review. I'm planning to buy one of those options (A6400 │ ZV-E10 │ ZV-1 │Canon M50 Mark II), but I'm more inclined for the M50 Mark II, A6400 and ZV-E10, specially for videos (70%) and photos (30%), I found the four cameras with a very similar price (A6400 │ ZV-E10 │ ZV-1 │Canon M50 Mark II) and the three sony cameras at the same price. In your experience, which one do you think would be a better option to buy for videos and photos? Thank you so much in advance.
It would be very interesting to see a comparison between the telephoto lens on the iPhone 15 pro max as you get the new 5x zoom
The best comparison ever !!
Cool comparison, thanks for your work!
My pleasure
You could just use Catalyst Pro to stabilise the A6700. I do. Reasonably quick and as good as most gimbals. Saves weight/space when travelling.
True, what are you editing on? My rig is pretty slow I guess
the whole workflow with catalyst is so time consuming. I tried catalyst prepare and it was still too much of a hassle.
This is what a real comparison should look like. Well done!
Thank you!
Great video, I can't wait to get my a6700! If you can only afford the kit lens, will that suffice for talking head content, at least until there is a budget for the Sigma lens you suggested in your video?
Thanks very much for your great comparison
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it!
FANTASTIC video. Very informative and high quality. I would be happy if you make review sigma 18-50 f2.8 with a6700. Thank's in advance...
Mai ask which one would you prefer between a a6700 or R7 since both are similarly priced and I am starting fresh so I don’t have any lenses form either
I am more a stills shooter rather than video, and I bought the A6700. I extensively use the Sony 70-350 telephoto lens which is equivalent to 105-525 in a FX/full-frame camera. BTW the A6700 has a special setting that will let you record longer before the sensor overheats. The A6700 uses NP-FZ100 battery from Sony full-size camera, is will last quite a long time, and costs ~$80USD. For critical use, I highly recommend the factory battery over 3rd party battery because no matter what the numbers on the 3rd party battery say, it is not the equivalent of the factory battery.
"equivalent to...FX/full frame camera," and "battery from Sony full-size camera." Why not just get an A7C full frame camera? Better dynamic range, more shallow DOF, lower noise, better colors, etc. Why go in the middle? Is it size, weight, or price? They're pretty much all the same now.
Just brought my 6700 2 days ago and it’s still otw to me can’t wait to get it! I started my channel with a iPhone XR and a Sony hx80 and got rid of both and currently use iPhone 13 and a GoPro 9 now I’m finally getting a real deal camera. But I’ll never forget how clutch the iPhone was don’t let anyone tell u that you need to wait to have a camera to start a TH-cam or to even be a photographer when u have a good phone!
Hi. How did you make the rotating 3D models of a6700 and 15 pro max? Is this real 3D, i.e. did you create the models yourself or is it footage from a rotating stand? I'm sitting here and can't figure out what the magic is) maybe it's lidar?
I love your content, thanks!
Excellent comparison video! I record on both the iphone and the fx30. Daylight shots you can get away any of these cameras, however at low light scenarios my choice of course is the Sony due to the fact of the bigger sensor and also something that not a lot of TH-camrs mention about the iphones. And that is the horrible green dots (flares) show up when recording like street lights, cars, etc at night. In a studio you have more control from but those green dots can be annoying sometimes and hard to edit them. All lenses will produce flares but a lens has a more natural look and don’t look like ufos. Nothing against the iPhone, but I wish Apple can improve that. I might be picking up the a6700 as a b cam. The iphone is the best camera you have with you at all times, and for someone who is starting it might be the most budget friendly option. However, there's something magical holding a camera. A nice hobby to learn and can be a fun experience when filming or taking pics.
Great input. You summed it up. I love how you said there is something magical about holding a camera. It’s just different than a phone.
I am with you man. My main camera for stills and video is my Z8 but I will use my iphone 14 Pro for basic stuff when the conditions are good. But a camera won't ever replace a camera completely for me. I hit the weights and cardio to stay in shape so I can handle the extra weight that "real camera" gear has. Especially since I do a lot of wildlife and those lenses are no joke.
Great video. Was hoping to see more photo comparisons.
Ok duly noted
@@thefilmalliance I’m debating between the two and currently have a 15 pm and Sony rx100 vii that I want to upgrade. Just love the clarity of the Sony and hopeful the a6700 would be even better.
While on vacation, for taking casual images and videos for memory (especially during night times) which would be better? Getting a top of the line iphone / samsung or a mirrorless camera? Which would make better sense in terms of ease of use and comfort? I will never have professional use case at all. Completely personal only. Thanks.
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,730 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
Thank you for a great comparison video. I am struggling with my decision on what to buy next, I currently have a iPhone 13pro max and I mostly use it for shooting basketball game video of my son and it is indoors and the lighting varies from gym to gym. My son recently asked me to take some action photos and I seriously considering buying a real camera instead of just using my phone but I want it to be easy to use I am mostly comfortable using auto focus. Is the Sony a6700 the way to go for me or is there another camera that is easy to use that you would recommend for me?
Well, for sports action, a6700 with mechanical shutter, excellent burst mode, and complete speedy autofocus, is a no brainer. But you really need to understand the exposure trio to maximize a6700 power.
Amazing job!! I would choose the Sony a6700, I think the video performance is better, even when the features of the iphone are quite useful. And Well, It all depends on what the camera will be using
hi Brother, great job. i always see your A,B,C camera setup. it was usually Fx30 as your B cam. just out of curious, did you sold your Fx30 and bought a6700. if so is it worth replacing it. because i have fx30 and i'm using as B cam paired with A7iv (Acam).
I still have it. I shelved it for awhile while I familiarize myself with the a67
Another fantastic video-been following your channel when you were below 1000. You are always informative and helpful in your detailed comparisons!
I’m just amazed the things you can do with a cellphone these days. I vlog my family’s adventures and have a Sony ZV-1 with a wide angle kit & an external mic setup. For the past couple of years I have edited/uploaded content in 4K HDR using an iOS app called LumaFusion. The iPhone 15 Pro with 512gb has been like having an editing studio in my pocket! There are times when we travel to theme parks where my regular setup is just too much of a hassle. I think if you are looking for a casual run and gun camera, the iPhone 15 Pro is certainly not a bad option! Always enjoy watching your videos!
Oh wow! You’ve been here for awhile. I have heard of Lumafusion but never used it. I like how you said the iPhone 15 Pro is like having an editing station in your pocket. I got to try out that app. Also thanks for the encouragement
Very good explain, thanks you for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
This is really helpful - thank you for making this video. I have iPhone 14 Pro Max and just downloaded Blackmagic Cam app on it. I do not know if I can download or purchase some LUTs for it and do not know if I would need iPhone 15 for it to work with Blackmagic Cam app. Thank you.
Nice, that’s great. Yes that app is a game changer
Really good job man !
Thank you, which camera do you like better?
Such a well written comparison ❤
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it. Which camera did you end up going with?
@@thefilmalliance I don’t have money for a6700 brother I am from India its very expensive here
I am planning to upgrade to iPhone 16 pro when it comes out
But I also want to film night videos, in that category I am losing with iPhone I think 😭
Great comparison.
Thank you for your informative Video still i have confusion Which one is best to Buy iPhone 15pro Or Sony 6700?
Thats actually a great question. I created a camera quiz to help you figure out which camera is best for what you are using it for. Have you taken it yet?
Really cool video. I find smart phones amazing in taking pictures and videos. iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max are some of the better examples. If someone is after being taking photos, grab the unexpected momentum then iPhone is great. Similarly if size is a key decision making factor then yes iPhone is an excellent choice. I must have missed great photos without having my iPhone with me. But if you enjoy the process taking great photos/videos, using an EVF, enjoying to set up metering, AF or others, changing lenses then A6700 or Fuji X-s20 + any other larger cameras need have around. Maybe not 7/24 but for a special occassion. I tested it, I used to have cameras and lenses for more then 25 years. Some 2 years ago I sold all, tested smartphones with great result, recently an iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is superb, yet I miss the experience of old school picture creation, so I'll order an X-S20 and use the f/2 lenses (a6700 is very similar). Well, surely these thought are not new to most of you. Just added here as I had the same issue on the table. :)
Great comparison video! Really helpful
These comparisons are to add the percussion cymbal and background laughter at the end😆
Hi there, I'm wanting to shoot close-ups of a wrist watch to show extreme detail on the dial. Using an iphone 15 pro, can you reccomend me a plug-and-play lens for this? Thanks!
Sorry to be a dolt but was that an external hard drive or a power block that to had hooked up to the Iphone? What make were you using? Thanks
Very interesting comparison. On my old iPhone X I already suffer from its inability to set & keep the focal distance to infinity.. nevertheless often it is the better camera, because its with me. So it better be a good camera ;)
I can see what your saying. I believe both cameras are good for different situations.
Great Comparison with Examples 🙏❤
Glad you liked it!
I have bought a GoPro 11 and I absolutely love its realistic captures.
Quick question, when you have a flip out screen like this and if you constantly look at the frame how does it look on the footage? Does it throw off the eye contact by a lot ?
What is the lens you were using for the a6700, I am not looking for a wide angle lens for vlogging, thank you :)
I believe I left a link in the description. Thank you
Nice video! If you don't mind me asking, I'm considering to get the a6700 as my first camera, and i was wondering what lens I should get. I will be using the camera as a hobby and side hustle, so I was thinking image quality wise the kit lens will be out of the equation. However, I would like to hear your thoughts! Should I get the kit lens or something like a sigma 18-50mm?
That's what he literally recommended in the video. 😉
The Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 is excellent for stills and video. You can also buy the Sigma f/1.4 primes 16, 23, 30, and very small 56. You can buy the Sigma 10-18 f/2.8 if you need a wide-angle lens. It will be a great companion for 18-50.
I have a Fuji X-H2s with Sigma 18-50, and I'm happy with it.
Sigma 18-50 - you won’t be sorry!
@@thefilmalliance Alright! Appreciate that you took your time to reply!!
I got a6700 with Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 then a month ago got the 56mm f1.4 for portraits and street photography. These two are a good combo for me when traveling.
SPECTACULAR video, Joe! Again! I love your style. Fantastic detail and loads of comparison work with both devices. You have got to be the best youtube content creator out there! I will say, the iphone’s ability to shoot 4k, while making efficient use of the battery, and give gimbal like hand held stabilization is really impressive in broad daylight; but there is a night and day difference when the lighting is not ideal. Also, there are some like me who aren’t going to care for the digitally processed, over-sharpened look it returns. With no post processing I find the colors it is able to reproduce in high dynamic range situations straight out of the phone to be really impressive at times, but other times the colors make me want to puke🤮 ! Still, this is regarded by most to be the best at video for a smartphone and people are going to love it for not only the camera but for the many other things it can do. For me, I’d say the $1000 could get me a nice lens, (I’d be happy with the 90mm,f2.8, macro), and I’d have something let over to get a DJI Action 4 to cover my 4k, stabilized, straight out of camera, vlogging needs.
Thank you for those kind words. I agree with everything you said. I like how you know what’s best for you when it comes to video. Good stuff!
As long as they keep the sensor size small in cell phone all they can do is more and more computational things which makes photos look more and more fake and clinical.
each has their own advantages. I prefer to use a phone when shooting life videos. convenience is the most important. The phone also has an anti-shake function, which is very important.
I have been debating whether or not to get the iPhone 15 Pro and/or the A 6700. I have the iPhone 13 mini and it takes decent video for non professional work. This video helped convince me to get the A 6700. I have a A 6400 with several lenses already so the upgrade will be nice.
btw: Ulanzi upgraded their mounting solution for their cooling fan. I tested it on the ZV-1 and it is rock solid.
If you already have an iPhone than go with a6700
The last part with the 6700 kit vs iphone in a studio is the most informative. It seems the iphone has a huge disadvantage in a low light scenario.
iPhone is great in low light if you use black magic camera app and have proper lighting he made a pretty disingenuous comparison probably using the standard camera app i currently am using a 15 pro and i can tell you i can record a talking head without a studio light in low light that looks better then what he showed
luckily i have both 😅 great video!!
Thanks man!
I have 15 Pro. Should I get the a6700? I’m into photography. Or can you recommend any camera for me? Great video man!
Yes, a6700 as your a-cam. Thank you for that
thank you!
Not only does using the iPhone telephoto lens bring it down to 12 MPs, but the telephoto sensor is a quarter of the size of the main camera’s sensor.
Some great info here thanks. One comment , the dust and specs on the comparison sections are really distracting, I know they’re on the background but they are too obvious and also a bit weird why they are even there.
thank you
Thanks Have you shot with either camera?
i watch so many people videos about comparison you know what i love in your video?????? i love that at the end you said what you feel........ and you like a6700 and you admit it but so many people said at the end when i am waiting that he or she told me which one is good for me they said it is very hard to tell or what do you think.... thats not fair if you are making comparison video you have to do end with yes..... or no..... thanks again i subscribe you and like your video .... keep it upp..... and i love the words that i buy sony a6700 and get a flip phone for callsss beautifull thanks.....
How about Picture Profile ? If you want good exposure and dynamic range you have to use PP !
Can we use the iphone 15 with usb c cable, for external monitor?
Honestly anyone should be able to see that the camera is just way better at being a camera. While some shots looked extremely close (kudos to the iPhone) there were none where the camera lost (IMO) and also many shots where the camera was so much better than the phone. If anyone is serious about photography and videography (for whatever reason personal or professional) you should definitely consider the camera if your budget allows it, especially since this video made it obvious that spending extra money on a good quality lens is almost mandatory. For everyone else, it is simply a no brainer, I mean, your iPhone is gonna be your phone, and aside from the fact that it has a phenomenal camera it also has buttery smooth performance and much more utility. I only have the budget for one device right now so I will pick the camera and stick to a basic phone for what I need a phone to do (especially since I already have a mac for everything else).
I’ve recently have been interested with videography regarding nature. I’m kinda limited physically in my current area. Is it true you can find about just anything to record like the wooded area in my backyard, things outside, steps, trails, birds, etc?
Well, will I need to travel a ton to be successful regarding videography?
if you had to pick ... iphone 15 pro max and a6000 OR iPhone 11 and sony a7 IV? what would you do?
using an Iphone 15 promax would help to find out more cause the tele lens is around 120mm and it has more power to create a better focal lenth and depth of field
Nice comparison. Iphone looks pretty good if we use main sensor 24mm eqv., but when you used 55-210 then difference is huge between iphone and aps-c camera, like night and day.
It's actually the situation I'm going through. I use Samsung's 21ultra as my daily driver and it's being great for my everyday use. But I'm trying to improve in my content creation journey. I was thinking of getting an older sony 6X00 but for my needs 60 fps in 4k would be a game changer. So I was thinking about getting a Sony 6700 or the new iPhone 15 pro.
I'm focused on slow-ish 4k wide angle video (>30 fps). Any recommendations?
My budget is 2000 USD or less, soo the Sony Fx30 is out of my budget, considering the lens cost. And I was thinking of getting external storage for the iPhone and a lens kit with the remaining 800 USD.
A6700 image quality is amazing and a growing platform, but the iPhone is very good for it's size and ease of use, and I can use it as a media creation phone and not mixing my personal use with "work" use. I'm also concerned about overheating because weather can go over 95°F (35°C) where I live, and not always be able to have AC.
I'm new to real cameras, I used old DSLR cameras a while ago, and my content was filmed with my Samsung "pro mode" and 3rd party camera apps, and some entry level lights from Amazon.
Thanks in advance for your time!
Thanks, I’d say go with the a6700 and a flip phone
@thefilmalliance Yes, you said that at the end of the video! Thanks for your reply.
Keep up the good work, your videos are very enjoyable to watch! Will get to 100K pretty soon!
Thank you, that was nice of you. I enjoy it
I have only one question, which camera will let me earn money from workin with it ? iPhone 15pro or Sony a6700
I use apple watch as a second screen attached to iPhone with its own wristband, thank you for a very interesting compare.
That's cool, thanks for the comment.
Sony really REALLY needs to work on their internal fans tbh, they have had overheating problems with ever camera I have gotten from them. The Sony ZVE10 actually almost never over heats surprisingly and its the cheapest mirrorless camera from them if Im not mistaken
Yes, and I’ve never had a problem with the a7siii
My fx30 never overhead on me before that I had a a6500 and it never overheated on me . All the overheating issues I’ve heard about was on TH-cam videos and they were filming to the extreme with the purpose to make them overheat lol
Did you use apple log for studio lit talking head shots?
Great job
Thank you
Great review, but between SonyA73 and Sony A6700, which one you will recommend?
Thats hard to say. It depends on what you’re using them for. I created a camera quiz to help you figure out which camera is best for you Have you taken it yet?
@@thefilmalliance Thank you, i didn’t do the quiz. Well i want a camera for hiking, that haves a good quality also in low light and maybe a good stabilization (I know this 2 camera doesn’t have that). I was thinking between this kits Sony A73 with Tamron 17-28 and kit
Sony A6700 Kit 18-135mm or Sony A6700 Kit 16-50mm because are similar as price.
I don't know if you only do Sony cameras, but if I were you I would take a good look at fujifilms new xs20. That camera would be a good contender for the 6700. I just bought one not long ago and it is a video monster. The camera body is a bit cheaper than the Sony but the video capabilities are insane. Since you are heavily into video, you may like what it has to offer. I'm coming from a Sony a7siii like you and I couldn't believe how beautiful the footage from that tiny camera could be.
It’s funny you say that. I hope to have my a6700 vs xs20 out by weeks end. I agree with everything you said. Colors are amazing and being able to shoot in open gate is great for vertical content creators. Thank you
And also SLOG3 file size will be smaller than ProRes Log footage right and produce noticeable better and consistence quality right? ProRes on such small sensor is like just show its capability than actual practical usability and a lot people do it for the views on TH-cam or just brainwashed into thinking it actually produce good big step above result from all the extra things to do and storages need to spend on, right?
Great point on file size difference. I thought what you said until I started grading the ProRes log. It’s pretty amazing
I just wish you could do some sort of external RAW or ProRes recording with the 6700. Then it would be everything I've wanted.
i subscribe this channel because of this video sir, thank you
