I love how you do crazy stuff with all this gear. Subbed when you put big lenses on inspire 2. Now I really want to see how this camera works with huge cinema lenses. I know this sounds like unprofessional workflow, but I wish DJI would add a built-in receiver for its new wireless mics into its wireless video transmitter to make it all synced. I'd LOVE to see your export settings for H265. Any drop in quality form the ProRes 422 HQ. Only having 422 HQ is one of the biggest reasons I haven't bought this camera yet.
I've done side by sides. If you see the export tab on those segments. Those are the settings! Resolve makes it easy and the 8k quality is there. Most of this video and all the house bRoll was crunched down to 8k h265 in my edit. So the final video you are watching is 422hq to h265 to TH-camh264. And if you watch back in 8k playback it's all there. (whenever TH-camr finishes transcoding the 8k version that is).
Love it, thank you!@@MAKEARTNOWCHANNEL - it seems like a pain, but if you have a good setup and workflow it works. I used to do this with the Canon C200 Raw.
The file size is making me cry!!!!!! I booked a team and they shot on the camera, boy oh boy. My first time and so far regretting shooting on it. One file is 65GB for a 5mins 24fps take. Having to use several TB of drive for a music video that with all other cams would be at most 500gb. Pain point currently which I am desperate for help with is, how do I work with these files? I have tried severally to transcode using Adobe Media Transcoder but it fails each time. I am about to explore the Davinci option you mentioned here. Fingers crossed I'm able to transcode to finally commence editing. Really such a stress. Any tip would be much appreciated, thanks!
DaVinci resolve 8k timeline. batch export all your clips as individual and with the source name, as h265 8k. Then throw away originals and you've truncated the files 90%. Unless you are doing heavy heavy color grading, I would add your standard conversion LUT plus whatever grade you're doing to get you into the ballpark, at this process before exporting that way you've locked in the color and you don't have to worry about pushing and pulling the h265 10 bit much-- though, that codec in 10 bit can take a beating so you're good either way.
Thanks for another super video, and for your great idea with the counterweights! It really expands the use of the R4D, - now to make art with larger lenses! Here is my license fee 🙂

I had a question question. I have bought all of.your audio/cold shoe mounts. They look amazing and awesome and amazingly quick delivery. Just one question, on the new Ronin 4D-8k the top handle has the normal screw on the right (and they fit perfectly on this side), but the left side of the back of the top handle has a rubber plate and no clear screw (also doesn't fit as well). I believe maybe the new full Ronin 4D-8k kit may have a different top handle? Is there a way you can look into that and maybe build a slightly different 3D printing for these units for your audio kits? Just having trouble mounting. It is amazing though and thanks for doing all of these
8:41 A nice case won't fit when you customized the rig, indeed. What I do with all my gear, I design it myself. I use the MyCaseBuilder. And I will just make it fit.
I REALLY hope their next iteration of the LiDar is systematized to better fit onto 3rd party rigs. I’d happily run a DJI handset, motors, and LiDar module as a 1st AC, but the extra breakout boxes, requirement to use their transmission, etc. really make it subpar for pro AC gigs. The range is nice, but usually what I need is low latency, not range.

That camera is really special... Would love a full kit with all the accessories, lenses, inspire 3... and tilta ;-)
Any advice on integrating the GPS module and the audio expansion plate with a button down banana shirt? Great to see your name pop up.
RIP to your back Josh
Bro I got "dad with young kids" back strength, I'm good.
@@MAKEARTNOWCHANNEL do be careful Josh! I was super super fit when I prolapsed my first disc at 33. Once it starts it’s near impossible to get back to how you were. Ready rig etc IS YOUR FRIEND, like me! 🙂
@@philipbloom for those of you that don't know, PB is my all time Shidoshi. We all need to listen to this man! Words of wisdom!
16:45 The low light scenes were the most surprising to me. It's insane that a camera this small can output this little noise for low light situations!
Bro excited to see what you did for the counter weight. We used the 45mm and 65mm Remus on the 4D but the 100MM was too front heavy.
Oh I got chu...... Ill send you one to play around with if you want. You would just need to buy the tungsten weights. they are a bit pricy. Will you be at NAB this year? lets meet!
@@MAKEARTNOWCHANNEL let’s run it. I’ll def be at NAB
Oh it's on.
Great work Josh! You should release a camera guide for this camera like DSLR video shooter does.
Shazaam! Nice video Mr Yeo. Super insightful, so thanks for all your efforts.
MY GOD! That footage is stunning 😍 I think I need to take one of these for a test run! :)
Man you really put a lot of effort and knowledge in this video, thanks a lot! Thinking about selling my FX6 for this now 😉.
this turned out so goooood!!
I used to do this with the Canon C200 Raw.
the music is so loud and intense, like chill bruh its just a camera.
I'll probably never own that camera, but it was fun to see how you're going with it.
2:55 btw in the US it is illegal for a company to enforce warranty void stickers. Since you own the product you are allowed to use it.
Thanks for another super video, and for your great idea with the counterweights! It really expands the use of the R4D, - now to make art with larger lenses! Here is my license fee 🙂
Great video!! Keep it up man👊🏽 Excited for the next one!
Feel pretty fortunate I invested in this rig way back when knowing you're making this level of quality content around it!
didnt understand a word you said... AMAZING VIDEO!!!!!
this was such a great video 🔥
You make everything so epic, love this
A 32 minute Josh Yeo video… oh go on then
Yo! how you doing James!??? Miss ya man!
oh shit ! i'm glad to see antony's drone shots here !
When I work along side you… I feel like I have a good idea of what’s happening on set and in your mind … BUT then I watch this and I’m like WTF??? How on earth are you processing all this and also really engaged and on point on the shoot ??
Yo yeo… mind blown 🤯
Imma ‘bout to buy a Tesla a dji camera and that mansion you shot -- and now I’m broke af
Thx !
Two words. Tiger blood.
13:33 Make - art - now
Awesome advice Josh! Try to keep up to you at least by a bit to level up my work ... you are doing such a great work- love your videos! Cheers from Germany
What a blast. Thanks 🔥
It is amazing though and thanks for doing all of these
I loved that running real estate tour lol didnt realize it was the 8k!
8:41 A nice case won't fit when you customized the rig, indeed.
What I do with all my gear, I design it myself. I use the MyCaseBuilder. And I will just make it fit.
Sensational vlog! You make me want to quit my current job and go videoing.
Your video is the only good one about real estate. The rest on youtube don't even come close to what you know + how creative you are with your shoots.
The menu is pretty great looking. Very Black Magic of them. I can't believe more cinema cameras haven't followed suit.
I am gonna lie, I missed your content!
Removing the sticker does NOT void the warranty. Right to repair, these companies just love lying.
I haven’t even watched
But I love this already
I REALLY hope their next iteration of the LiDar is systematized to better fit onto 3rd party rigs. I’d happily run a DJI handset, motors, and LiDar module as a 1st AC, but the extra breakout boxes, requirement to use their transmission, etc. really make it subpar for pro AC gigs. The range is nice, but usually what I need is low latency, not range.
