I did the same as u did on a Lexus u were repairing with same issues and replaced the VVT sensor and this SOLVED \ REPAIRED the misfires completely.!!!! Thank u so much for ur video and the help u provided in getting my car running well again.!!! I viewed numerous videos but urs alone was right on the mark. Muchisimas gracias. Thank u kindly. Juan.

      Greetings RB, I mentioned to you previously that after replacing the VVT solenoid on my 99lexus es300 the check engine light has gone and engine sounds and runs great. BUT.... OBD still shows a reading I don't understand and I hope you have a video to help me repair this issue.??? It reads : EVAP - X,, O2S X,, HRT X.. I replaced old 02sensor bank 1 sensor 2 yet with this reading the check engine light has not come on and no misfires. I'd dearly appreciated any help you may have on this issue brother. God bless n thank you kindly. Juan.

    • @JIMIJAMS
      @JIMIJAMS 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good day , yes I changed the farthest one passed the catalytic converter and plug under drivers side seat. Catalytic converter is not marking fail anymore, I wrapped the exhaust with a thermal wrap cause someone tried to steal my converter recently and what's showing on the OBD is not throwing a code but it has that EVAP-X, HTR- X, O2S - X. I wish there was a way to send u a pic of the obd reading, but this is what its showing. Thank u again. Juan.

    Had the exact same codes as you, just replaced the Bank 1 Solenoid and replaced the codes and its running pioe butter again. For anyone planning on doing this, the engine cover uses a T-30 Allen Key. Had to run to advanced and get a new allen key set. Total cost of repair was $50 vs 400 from the mechanic

    All you Lexus ES300 guys..I have a 2002 and whenever I get to a higher than 45-55 mph (highway speeds) it seems the transmission feels forced? I don't know how to explain it. Car has 135k miles and previous owner really didn't take care of it too well. Also when starting the car especially when it's been off for a while, it sounds like a clicking noise for like 2 seconds the goes away. Which I'm assuming it could be vvt related? I had knock sensors and harness changed not too long ago (OEM). I love my car I just want to get it running smoothly again.

    thanks for the information on your video, I have a quick question, on my RX300 2001 I get P1346 code (cylinder 1,3,5 misfires) I did clean and test the VVT solenoid (Rear) and it does open and close, however I still get the same codes, should I replace it with a new one?
    I just replaced the timing belt due to the previous one was broken is it also posible that the time is off on bank one?
    All of the above due to the codes and check engine light, VsC Off lights turned on as soon as I finished replacing the timing belt and turn on the engine
    Please help because I’m confused
