Ruger just came out with the Super Wrangler with a magnum cylinder. It has adjustable sights and true to Ruger's overbuilding policy, they went with a steel cylinder frame as opposed to aluminum. The cheaps looks of Heritage put me off ever buying one though people who have them seem to like them. I am happy with my Wranglers.
I have 2 black Wranglers ( yours is silver-gray) I love taking them out shooting with my Henry 001 classic lever rifle . The Wranglers and the Henry use the same ammo . Picked up the new Wrangler with the 7.5 inch barrel . Hope to get it out when the weather gets better . Love my Wranglers and Henry .
I also recently posted a video tearing down my Henry Goldenboy. But these old cowboy .22s are great. As they say, "good clean fun for the whole family."
@@revolverguy My Ruger is just not as accurate as the Heritage. But, then, the Heritage is not as accurate as my Uberti...but it costs 1/3 as much as the Uberti...so, there ya' go.
Nice review, thanks! Quick question when rotating the cylinder manually with the loading door open, mine does not click. It looks like your s doesn't either. I wish that was present as I like that sound.
One other thing, it looks like some single action pistols have a half cock position where the clicking happens. The Wrangler does not have that. You do in fact have to hold at half cock for the clicking. This is so fascinating.
@@revolverguy The Ruger Wrangler is well made and the Rump Rider is junk. Sissy safety carry only 5 rounds with hammer on empty cylinder and red-orange grips .

I have both, the Ruger and the Heritage...I prefer the Heritage!

I agree but I believe the free spinning cylinder is a Ruger thing. Mine doesn't click either.
Mine is the same. However, I found that if you hold the hammer at half-cock and spin the cylinder, it will click.

I wish they made a 22 magnum cylinder upgrade for them. I just ordered the holster from Ruger and it cost 70.00.
The cylinder can be bored out to .22 mag if you can get your hands on a spare.
Now they do with the Super Wrangler!

You can, however, get adjustable sights on a heritage rough rider.
