    I have a Wrangler. Mine shot fine - easy to roll a can at 25 yards consistently. I did find that with the two loads that I tried, it did shoot a bit low and left. But I'm right handed and if I'm going to err, it's going to be pushing the impact a little left... and the other thing is that I was shooting in a covered range and my old eyes had trouble picking up the front sight. But even in adverse conditions, it did what I expected this revolver to do.

      Certainly not a bad plinker for the price. Thanks for stopping by!

    For 200 dollars, the Ruger Wrangler is a fine little gun. I have shot hundreds of rounds without any issues. As for accuracy it is a 22, try different ammunition. Comparing it to a Ruger Blackhawk or Single Six (which I also own) is kinda unfair. Pretty sure the Wrangler came out in response to the popularity of the Heritage Rough Rider. You get what you pay for. Great video, thank you..

      Hey thanks for checking it out. I'm usually an auto loader guy, but since I keep hearing good things about the Single Six and Blackhawk I'll have to check them out.

    Its better then the mk1 fist! I carried mine for a year before I got a Sccy 9mm for 180$. Nobody wants to get shot and when the see a gun, its not like there're going to think "its only a 22! That won't stop me" ... and just like anything else, its all about training with it to become as effective as it can be! Stay Armed! Stay Safe! Stay Ready!

    I have a wrangler with the 4.6 inch barrel I painted the front sight orange and using different 22s I can hit fist size steel plates at 20-25 yards no problem

    You can try different ammo for shifting the point of impact. Or since it is a fixed sight that is hitting low, CAREFULLY and SLOWLY, file a little down off the front sight to bring the POI up.

    I have the Wrangler and several Heritage also. I like the Heritage much more, it''s way more accurate than the Wrangler and handles better also; loading gate is next to nearly impossible to open!

    I was set to get the supper wrangler, but found a single six convertible stainless, manufactured in 2000 new in the box for an amazing price. Wow! Amazing shooter with 22lr or 22 magnum cylinders. God Bless America 🇺🇸

    i always enjoy 22lr videos, this one too, thank you. since your tight groups were consistently low-left, clamped or freehand, i think ammo and grip need to be considered. in addition the 4.63” or 3.75” ruger wrangler is truly just a fixed sight plinker. if you want better accuracy try a 5.5” ruger single six or super wrangler with adjustable sights.
    a practiced, accurate, reliable 22lr/wmr firearm in hand that gives one consistently multiple center mass hits is certainly ok for protection for normal folks. 22lr is easy, cheap and fun to shoot alot, and i mean alot. practice makes perfect. centerfire handgun ammo lacks homing devices and proximity fuses. hits with rimfire matter, near-misses with centerfire count for zero. if you are out in apex predator quadraped turf have a centerfire long- or shotgun with a rimfire sidearm. if you are normal civilian you shouldn’t be rubbing up against apex predator bipeds in a sensible & prudent, daily suburban life. if you really need to worry about “a home invasion by four meth-heads” then your relationship, lifestyle and financial choices are an awful mess; you have bigger worries than your firearm choice.

      I'll have to try some different ammo and see if it makes a difference. If not, I suppose I can try filing down the front sight. Stay tuned, maybe I'll do that. 👍

    yes its accurate. i shoot muscle shells on the other side of the river. one day ill go look at all the chips from them. but point is. yes its accurate. i did modify my front sight to point of aim.

    • @justjesse16

      @@christian3309 honestly. mine shot bout a foot low and bout 6" left at 50 yards with front tip level with back tops. so after several hundred rounds to verify the shot point. i filed the tip a lil at a time. reshoot. after i gt my level i went a lil futher. then built up an orange epoxy tip that was thinner and easier to see and see past. to adjust the 6" left. i just shot 6 rounds. tapped it on the tree lightly to slighty nudge it. shot again. i had to adjust it 3 times to get it centerd. no. its not the right way to do it. can i shoot river muscle shells at 100+ yards reliably and consistantly. fk yes. this is my first pistol so itll be with me til judgement day.

    I had a Wrangler. Only thing I liked about it was the price. Everything about it was too small for me. I traded it for a Marlin Goose Gun. Are you in the Bakken? Thanks for the vid!

  • @Sirfixalot1969

    So did the wad of lead that built up in the barrel basically in one spot cause wear in the opposite side making the bore of the barrel to be so uneven that the bullet wobbles as it travels down the barrel? Do you remember it being more accurate?

    • @northdakotaplinking9794
      @northdakotaplinking9794  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't remember it being terribly accurate before. I think it always hit low for me. The original idea was to clamp the gun in the BOG grip to take the shooter out of the equation but the barrel was too small to clamp. It wanted to slant because of the ejector rod. Maybe part of the reason why it was hitting left. But then when I shot off hand, it hit low like it always did. I don't recall the groups ever really being tight either. If you remember the water jug vid... the .22 rounds were hitting low on the jug. As far as wear in the barrel, it's a possibility I supposed with that much lead build up.

    • @northdakotaplinking9794
      @northdakotaplinking9794  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I found out after the fact that build up where you put the rounds in is common to this model too.
