    Let’s be real hear folks , this is a very cheap rugged , reliable little Ruger 22LR plinker that will probably keep on working for decades into into the future with minimal Maintenance.

    I guess Ozzie, this Wrangler is for general plinking fun at a low cost, so if folks need.want a revolver for other than R&R then they're going to be disappointed.
    Ruger's done a good job here in bringing 'low cost' back to the buying public,...good job,..good review on this.

    Hello to you me "down under" friend. Good review. I own the Wrangler and happy with it. Only fired about 50 rounds through it and I haven't began to determine what ammo it will like best. I have a variety of several brands and bullet weights that I'll get into. Think I'll try a bench rest test since I can't trust results to my hands.
    One thing you didn't like, the loading and unloading chore. You can pop those spent cartridges out quick and easy if you let gravity help you. That two step process you did is cumbersome. Hold the frame upright and you'll be bouncing the brass off your boot toes quickly when you get the hang of it! Thanks for a good review and "good on ya mate". (Yeah, I'm a bit corney. Just an old Paul Hogan fan here in Kentucky, USA)

    I think these make great plinkers, way better than the heritage revolvers, maybe not quite on par with the single six or colts, but a lot of bang for the buck for what you pay, thx for the vid.

    • @spitfireaace
      @spitfireaace 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ya the Heritage has the horrible safety catch apparently (not available here in Canada anyway). I don't want to pay for a stainless steel (single six) version, it's a thousand bucks . For an entry price of 300 Canadian for sure.

  • @AussieInCA11
    @AussieInCA11 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you hold the revolver in your left hand, brace the handle against yourself or a table and user your right to give the lever the old "Paul Harrell slap", those cases pop right out.
    I have the heritage, with .22lr and .22 mag. It's not the easiest to shoot accurately, highlights every flaw in my shooting. Good training tool though and surprisingly accurate with some time behind it. Has done wonders for my shooting!

      Anyway, I've been to a gun shop in Australia - was surprised to have stumbled upon one, and it wasn't very different from shops I've seen in California. Talked to the guy running it and he said it's possible to get most of the same things, it's just very much a chore.
