No idea, without subtitles or even the option for auto generated ones this video is just a screensaver. So much for PlaySports caring about inclusivity.
It is the right way to go I think. With most technologies they tend to get smaller and lighter as economies of scale increase -- I do believe most bikes will have varying amounts of power like cars (consumer choice will increase). If MTB remains popular post-pandemic, and as the industry is more successful, purpose-built bikes for racers will be built with rules for motors, and consumers might use things more like this Orbea for trail riding with a motor of their choice. That might shake up the marketing connection between racing and sales (if consumers can't buy the bike they watch racing) that has long been part of the industry, or just become one more aspect among many.
@@gmbn That's really great! Nice editing, marvelous location and a pretty pair of actors (the new Orbeas) . Also those blokes willingly doing crash tests just for us did a great job in selling this bike. Perfect mix.
I’m patiently waiting on my Rise watching this video . Cannot wait to get some miles logged and some air ( hopefully) sent ! Great vid . Keep up the good work 👍
That's pure mountainbike mentality there: Neil takes a dive, takes a bike to the noggin, gets up right away, and immediately calls to the camera: "Did ya get that?... SWEET!!" I love this sport and its people, seriously
E-Bikes are getting more and more popular. It sure looked like a fun ride, glad you did not get hurt when you had the tumble. All in a days work or should I say play. Have a great week and stay safe.
Really great video to showcase this bike. It showed its strengths and weakness in use. Advantages- Lightweight, responsive riding. Looks and feels like a regular bike. Disadvantages - Ran out of battery on long ride, lighter tires prone to punctures.
Amongst all the content that GMBN and GMBN tech produces, this was by far one of the most beautiful videos. This one really encompasses the love for mountain biking. Keep up the great work guys.
I've only been what I would call proper mountain biking a couple of times and luckily my mate has a cottage in Corris so this is one of the places I've been. Beautiful part of the world.
Those e-bikes look stunning! Not HUGE and heavy. What a great way to do an EPIC! The only thing I don't like about those bikes is that I don't have one! Nice stack BTW
Great video. I spent my 60th birthday in the white house next to the river in the opening shots. Only had a road and gravel bike with me, but the hills were calling 😊
Been riding my 2020 Occam M10 for 6 months , love it. You guys are making me want to trade up to the battery version now though. 😆 Seriously looks like a blast. Big props to the production team on GMBN btw.....the quality keeps leveling up, these are like mini-documentaries now....top quality work!
Neil going OTB is a good bit on what everyone should wear a helmet as he hits the ground then gets clobbered by the bike; or is it the bike saying to him "Oi! look out ;-) " Glad he's OK, and will definitely be getting that route from Kamoot. Nice one
Cracking video which makes Rich's epic coast to coast video that much more disappointing in how that felt to view. Only local ride tomorrow, don't have much time and it looks like it's going to rain, but this vid has got me stoked for it.
Yes boys this is the kind of videos you need to keep making! I will even overlook the fact you're riding ebikes 😆. In all seriousness though this actually looks like a ebike that I would actually consider if I had a spare 6 grand. I don't like the idea of full fat ebikes but this looks perfect and I imagine you would even be able to pedal it when the battery goes flat. I would love to demo one.
Amazing video, that is what mountain bikes are all about, far beyond where no bikes has gone before. Do be careful though you are presenters and we audience can feel and see you aches and pains in case you get hurt. Hope you can show how you fixed that tire rip in the middle of nowhere.
That place looks amazing!! Definitely added to places to take the bike! And the bikes seem like a great middle ground which I didn't know existed between normal and E bikes!
Besides covering more ground in less time good to see you do not get that worked on a epic ride. For a first attempt it seems Orbea has found the perfect balance between putting in the effort and pedal assist.
Big phat thumbs up ... saw this on Komoot a few weeks back & have been looking forward to seeing it ( 14:55 mins is not enough btw ), what a place to ride (mae'n wych) Had planned an epic ride in Wales for 2020 ... roll on 2021
God damn!! Videos like this hurt my wallet! hahaha I love the idea of a ightweight emtb, perfect for a day in the saddle like this. Great video guys, I really enjoyed this one. 👍🏻
I have a setup question: #AskGMBNTech On the downhills, it looks like Neal and Rich are bottoming out the Forks a lot, even on pretty small jumps. Is this due to the bikes being new and not fully setup or is it fairly normal and i am just running way to much pressure in my Forks?
So from what I’ve heard, you want to use your full fork travel at least once on every ride. That means the occasional bottom out is ok and actually necessary for you to get the most out of your front suspension. I’d suggest trying different sag settings to see which one feels the best to you (generally between 25%-35%). If you still feel like your bottoming out too much, try adjusting your rebound. It could be because it’s not returning fast enough before the next hit.
Did you find find that the cockpit geometry is too far forward for comfortable pedaling which may have contributed to you going over the handle bars? I'm 5'9/ 175.3cm. i have long femurs apparently since every bike I own ends up with the seat all the way back in order to keep from having my knee too far in front of the pedals. My medium Specialized Camber had to have a setback seat post to make it fit. I rode the Levo SL in size large at the shop and it fit perfectly for reach and top tube with the 45mm stem. The seat was all the way back and I could have used 2mm more to the rear but could live with it. The Rise in large has 19mm more forward reach from the crank to the steerer and 9mm shorter top tube. Which means the rear most position of the seat will be 28mm more forward that the SL. This may be a deal breaker for the Rise for me.
I own an Orbea Gain (e-road bike) and I absolutely love it. The Rise is such a compelling option. I was thinking of going with an OCCAM but I absolutely love what an e-bike can offer. My main question with this one especially how does it ride with the electric motor fully off? Do you get any drive train drag, or like your having to fight it?
This is a class video and a great ride. I bet their was a little competitive riding what with both of them being racers haha. I don’t know about anyone else but I’d love to see a video on who’s fastest out of the presenters, Blake, Neil, Rich and Doddy I wonder who would actually win? Come on guys give us a race video I know we would all love it. 🚵🏻💨💨💨🏆🥇
What do you think of this new style of lightweight EMTB that's designed to ride like a standard MTB? Let us know👇

It's cool that they made that
I like your videos but i do not have a mtb still but I'm going to get it soon thanks I watch all your videos

production value through the roof on this one!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It was fantastic.!
can we talk about Neil doing a fricking front flip, bike to the noggin combo!?! good. con. tent.
We do it all for the Tube! 🤘
holy smokes lol
I mean if course its Neil, it's always Neil with those spectacular crashes.
Just this time he didn’t get hurt which is awesome 👍🏻 and it looked great to watch haha
An epic ride is never complete without a Neil otb.
😬 We don't plan that bit! Lucky he was ok on that one 👍
Funny how the promo videos you guys are making translate more the feeling of mountain biking than most content on the internet.
Thanks Andre! For this video, we really wanted to focus on the riding and scenery! 🙌

That awkward moment when GMBN makes a better promo of (the same) an ebike than EMBN.
@@Devil_Inside_LV It came to my mind too... GMBN and EMBN will merge, sooner or later...

Being the owner of a Levo SL I can testify that lightweight e-mtbs are amazing. They are so much fun to ride. I’ve never smiled so hard!
The epic rides are my favourite GMBN videos. Very inspiring to get out and try and epic ride of my own.
Glad you like them! let us know where you're planning on going!

A perfect ebike in my opinion. Light with just enough extra power.
Some really nice visuals in this, love this sort of content.
Thanks for watching Chris!

these edits and everything are awesome. you guys put so much effort into your videos and i love watching them🙃
Glad you like them!
Stunning scenery, well captured on this vid. Looks like a great place to go riding.
Good video guys 👍
The essence of mountain biking on my beloved Orbea Rise :-) One in my stable now.
More of this!

You guys do some of the best cinematography on TH-cam. Gorgeous.
Those e-bikes look stunning! Not HUGE and heavy. What a great way to do an EPIC! The only thing I don't like about those bikes is that I don't have one! Nice stack BTW
That new bike is so awesome! I like the way Orbea put it together.
The footage is stunning!
UNBELIEVABLE scenery ❤️ Great work.
This is why I love MTB, you are out there alone, no cars no worries.
Wales never stops giving epic video that one more place on my list to go to
My dad always took me here to watch the Rallying when I was little. Looks like the bike trails are just as much fun!🤘
These kind of videos are my favorite
Ahhh the Dyfi enduro route ! Savage but great fun .. love the world cup descent

Two mates for a day out being paid of course and enjoying themselves, what is there to dislike. Nice one guys.
Epic scenery and some fantastic camera work! Great Stuff! 👍
Niel, a good presenter and stuntman! Yeah!
Some serious hills up that direction! You can see why the Atherton's often dominate you need to be fit riding up and down there
Love my Rallon, it's a do it all trail terminator !
Agreed mate! Love my Rallon. I’d like a set of low pro gravel tires and bigger front chainring for mine, for days of epic gravel and class 4 roads.

You should only bottom out once or twice per ride
Maybe you should remove a volume spacer from your fork. My fox came with two in it and because of that I only used like 120-130mm of my 150mm fork
@@sush3450 adding volume spacers can also help
These guys will always check and set up the bikes before riding especially this distance and terrain and never ride without adjustments.
Thanks for the review 😊
