We tackle Ben Lomond, the Cobbler, Stob Binnien, Ben More, Ben Ghlas, Ben Lawers and ride at the up and coming location of Balquidder.

In this episode I’m riding my SCOTT Ransom Tuned equipped with Shimano XT, a Fox 38 Grip 2 Fork and Schwalbe Magic Mary and Big Betty Tires.

This is a great video and way out of my comfort zone. It’s difficult to get an ambulance these days and I live in Glasgow, so be prepared to wait if you get hurt/stuck on some of these hills. Pleasant also note the weather can change pretty quickly in the Trossachs, so be well prepared.

So dude wondered what happened to you after GMBN. Then this popped up in my feed yesterday. So cool to see you on the screen again. And man what a great vid, and really series of vids it looks like. These are my favorite kind of mtb vids- epic rides in epic destinations with epic scenery. So beautiful just to watch when the cinematography is good like this. And this one featured my favorite kind of riding- rocks and gnar. You had some big exposure, but look at the bright side- no trees to crash into until that last trail. Lol. While some of what you were doing is beyond my skill set, those types of trails are the kind of trails love to seek out here in the Appalachians- tough to access, then gnar for long downhills. You really feel like you earned it when you’re done. I did Maryland’s highest summit once- Hoye-Crest on Backbone Mountain- hike-a-bike all the way up, gnarly fast all the way down. It took me I think like 45 mins to get from parking lot to summit, and I think under 5 mins back down. Lol. Was def cool. Just sub’d and look forward to checking out rest of your vids. 🤙

Beinn ime makes a less extreme option than the cobbler if riding in that area, it shares the same initial climb/ descent. The section beyond the turn off for the cobbler up and down to beinn Ime is more rideable.

I'm not a hiker but, the Only way I'd check those trails out would be with a pair of hiking boots and trekking poles... Pretty country, great photo opportunities, and trails that merit an ambulance and life flight helicopter close by for anybody crazy enough to try it on two wheels.
